I think I lot of people expect him to be musically perfect, but the things like the cracks in his voice and the emotion you can hear in his voice are what makes his performances so engaging
Agreed. Will wouldn't be the same without the cracks in his voice. It's so raw and emotional and human and real, and those things are what makes CSH so great.

Getting goosebumps watching this, I was at the show last night and the emotion he put in this was amazing!! Will Toledo will always be my favorite, the people that can't get past the voice need to learn to appreciate a true talent when they see one.
If you actually listened he changed up a bunch of lyrics, I think that's adding something new. And the singing not being great honestly adds more to the song to me, I still prefer the original obviously but Will's version if very raw and he makes it his own, much better than like 99% of the other covers I've heard that cleans up the production and brings in a singer that has nothing interesting happening with their voice. Also, he said it was something he was working on before he sang, so obviously not gonna be perfect on that front.

I have nothing against imperfect/rough voices, but this guy is just constantly off-key, which is a different thing entirely. It’s hard to listen to at points.
