Very useful information for low acceleration and high acceleration. In simple words : 5 slots of pin are given, In race = put the pin slot in the bottom. In idle = put the pin slot in the top. In average ( i.e.- not low or high ) put the pin slot in the middle in 3rd slot.

Very nicely explained..pls suggest.. I am using an Oko 28mm on my stock Rx135...I am getting amazing initial pulls..but getting stressed at top ends...mechanic suggests to go leaner as petrol is not effectively burning...will it help to change needle pin settings to leaner..Tnx

Thank you Graham You'll have to go step by step. As Expansion chamber needs carb returning,sometimes re-jetting or even a carb swap to a higher level. - Re-tune the carb after fitting chamber( compulsory) If runs good then fine.. Then go for needle slot adjustment .. seee the response and then adjust the air screw again. All depends on how satisfied you're with the performance.

Recently I installed VM26 carb on my RX135 (4-speed cylinder 5 speed gearbox and sprockets). It has 130 main jet 22.5 pilot. The bike runs fine at low to mid RPM range, may be even I notice little better performance in those RPMs, but once I blip open the throttle, the engine just behaves like it has been starved of fuel, but obviously more fuel should be the reason. So I changed stock CDI to single map racing CDI hoping to correct the issue. Air filter is UNI. My bike currently in running-in period so I couldn't open the throttle too much, but after the breakthrough, will the mods give better mid and top end performance? I'm not concerned about the fuel average.
Thankyou for appreciating the work,and detailed write-up 👌 AFAIK, VM26 has some 200+ size jets, you've got it lowered to 130.. well that's good, but not enough to match the need 4s cylinder with 26mm venturi . It's running lean. ( check the plug ). Up jetting may sort the problem, try switching to 165mains( rx1354s) and see the result. Another suggestion from my side, don't forcible go on high rpms,when you are unsure about the mixture that too under run-in period. Share some pics of plug on my instagram moto_travelxd
Switch back to stock cdi and fix the problem one at a time..else it's gonna be a mess.🙂. You already have 3 unsettled mods Carb, jet and Uni and 1 unsettled engine😉

(even our 5 speed carb has 135 main compared to 165 of 4 speed; however, the pilot is much bigger at 22.5, so I believe it's the venturi that makes the difference. You should know better). I bought it online from a reputed seller who claims its RXZ's carb (I believe Malaysian). Any way I exchanged it with 165 main from my 4 speed carb, but the trouble remained. That's why I guessed it may be because of ignition hence changed to the aftermarket CDI. The CDI works excellent combined with my stock VM 22 4-speed carb. Spark strength is very good. I'm riding the same bike for the past 2 decades and it runs on aftermarket performance filters for at least 18 years, K&N, Proton, Pipercross, and now UNI. You're a pro 😉 22.5 pilot is not problematic for rx1354s,so I suppose Pilot won't be creating any issue,moreover you've good ideling and initial . Primarily it has issues with the main jet or the needle jet which is creating scene .Try setting circle clip to on position down ( from where ever it is) ** before anything pls do plug reading..

I own Platina 2006 model When I try to use choke in cold start bike turns off, while in other bikes rpm raises. By changing the slot will my problem get solved? Moreover while kick starting I've to raise the throttle to start up, Without raising bike does not turn on, and has a very rough idle & bogs.
Changing slot wot solve this issue, this sound like more of something from the pilot jet circuit and the tuning screw. Get the carb cleaned check both mentioned above for any damages
Can you make a video on how to tune the bike for optimum mileage sacrificing some power and also how to tune for optimum power sacrificing some mileage focusing on what could go wrong in both cases. Also which combination of jets to used for power or mileage based on the blocks being used on the bikes. Thanks for your videos, it's a big help for the 2 stroke community and for those of us who self wrench.

I don't remember it exactly the teeth count difference at the moment.. will update in some time. One thing for sure, there is a quality difference on both the wheels.☺️
no Brigin Bs, It's the other way - a single tooth difference will not make a visible difference of size but it will make a huge difference in the readings..
i was unable to fit my 4 speed plastic rpm wheel in the rxz 5 speed clutch setup, as the 4s plastic wheel was a big one .thus fitted an 5 speed plastic wheel which is slightly smaller
Wot am thinking is if there is an difference in rpm wheels means dont the same difference be there in 4s and 5s clutch primary wheels (even if teeth are same the size would be different for primary wheels?)

Sir, I own aRX135 my bike gets jerk or feeling engine getting off when I speed up to 70-75Km, if I reduce the speed jerk stops and runs smoothly, upto 60 km., Speed no issue, Machanic checked the petrol flow it is working good, problem is not solved, can u suggest what is wrong with bike.. My bike have the another problem with bike running for about 10-15Kms and stop for a while, try to start, it takes 15-20 kicks to start, where as start with choke with one or two kicks. Can suggest to get out these above problems....

AFAIK, VM26 has some 200+ size jets, you've got it lowered to 130.. well that's good, but not enough to match the need 4s cylinder with 26mm venturi . It's running lean. ( check the plug ).
Up jetting may sort the problem, try switching to 165mains( rx1354s) and see the result.
Another suggestion from my side, don't forcible go on high rpms,when you are unsure about the mixture that too under run-in period.

Centre one preferred.. there are 3slots in 5s needle.

Set the needle to 2nd from bottom( pointed side).
Then tune the carburetor.
