Another interesting video, Shanna. It’s great to see how you’re doing on your decluttering. I’m excited to see Part 3. Once you declutter each space in your home, to prevent clutter from building again, have the rule of thumb… one item in, one item out. Doing this means that you keep that space decluttered and prevents you from being overwhelmed, especially after all the hard work your doing xx
Thank you so much for being here following along and for your kind words! I am trying really hard to follow that exact advice and not overwhelm my spaces or myself with more items.
I sell all of my clothes (if it has a rip or stain,it goes in the free box and everything gets taken, people have said they use them for work clothes or rags.)🙌🏻at my yard sale for two dollars each (Friday and Saturday) The next weekend, everything is half price and what I lost from my original prices,I more than make up for in volume sales, tough times we’re living in! The next day, everything goes to the Humane Society Thrift Shop!👍(They’re open on Sundays!👏
I love the system you have set! I may have to snag these ideas for my upcoming yard sales and share with my neighbors who are joining me. Yard sales are a lot of work but can be so fun too and it’s fun to visit with shoppers!
Haha! My house and garage have a full season of content too, unfortunately! But if I run out of rooms to declutter and start doing guest appearances on my channel, I know who to reach out to!
Thank you so much! And I appreciate the kind words about the AC…I’m grateful for a wonderful local company that was quick to come check it out and then install the new one. Our home is nice and cool today; such a blessing during this heat wave!
Thank you so much for watching and for all the kindness! I feel like a weight has been lifted with this decluttering project being done and it’s given me renewed ambition and motivation in the rest of my home! 🙌
Wonderful job - please come over and help me with my craft/office! Love to see someone else with a wooden stick in their windowsill. I have them in every window. I tried to get locks, but none worked out. So sticks it is. Sorry about your AC. My car AC needs a recharge. So I'm not driving much until it cools down.
Thank you so much! Haha, yep, I sure do have a stick in there. I was raised that way and it came with the house so there it has remained! 😉 Oh no; sorry to hear about your car’s AC too. Hope it’s an inexpensive fix when you take it in. 🤞
That’s a really good point! I have many more areas in my home to declutter and I’ll definitely keep that in mind. And how cool that you make candles…that is one thing I haven’t ever tried but it looks like a cool process!
One thing I’ll mention, is, if you’re saving your children’s stuff or family stuff for them, don’t! Once I realized our only daughter didn’t want ANYTHING I got rid of it.
I don’t save everything, but I do save some things. I treasure the things I hung onto and always wish my parents would have saved some of their favorite childhood things and such. I for sure will gift things along as my children get older if they have no interest in keeping special family items and such…I know it’s a big pressure to “hang onto those items” whether we have a special connection to them or not and I would never want to put that stress on them as adults someday. I have 3 sets of dishes that I feel that way about…huge guilt in getting rid of them but no one is enjoying them being stored on a shelf in our garage.
Haha! I’m kind of weird and love to paint! Taping off, not so much! But I love to paint and watch a space transform. The color isn’t bad but is so dark in a basement with just the one window. It’s not bad in this room with the natural light coming in but the other spaces feel pretty dark. I hope to eventually lighten up the walls in the other rooms too.

Just give away the entire box of candles, gross and all, because I make candles and reuse the glass jars.Let the person decide.👍
