No wonder you can never get the umbrella back in the case he had to use a special jig just to fold it. You would think they would make it so it would fit easily.
Can anyone tell me what the name is for the rectangular cutting blade that the guy uses held upright to cut out the panels? I’ve seen them in quite a few Korean haberdashery type “How it’s made” videos & I’ve failed to find out what they’re called via various Google searches. Thanks.

여기도 마지막 남은 한국의 우산 공장일까? 단추박는거 외에 다 사람의 손으로 하다니 놀랍네요.. 비용때문에 어쩔수 없지만, 많은 물건들을 중국에서 만들어지는게 슬프다..이런곳이 계속 남아주어야 하는데.
If you’re a business owner, why would you manufacture in South Korea instead of China? Your costs will be much lower in China

예전에 스카프랑 우산파는 알바할때 명화우산이 잘 나갔는데.. ㅋㅋ손잡이는 j자형/ 바깥으로 프린팅된 장우산중에 특히 고흐의 별밤이 인기ㅋㅋㅋ 사장님 우산살 수선 할때 난 그 살이랑 천 분리되면 꼬매고ㅋㅋ

Why didn't they show the production of the frame? Opening and closing mechanism. The main thing in the umbrella is a metal frame, not a rag.
