    Hey, great video! Do you have struggles with the small space in the trunk? What version do you have? Do you drive EV only all the time or set it to hybrid and let the car decide when to use only electric or electric with gas or gas only? What tires are you using? Green tires? I am considering one used for my daily commute. Thanks again for the video, good info. As far I know, Ford Pass App is free and compatible with vehicles 2017 and later.

    • @jonyrock
      @jonyrock  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The huge battery in the trunk hasn't bothered me. Since i have no kids i just put my groceries in the back seat. I usually always just drive ev until it runs out unless I know I'm going to be stuck in rush hour, then i put it on "EV later" mode to save the battery power for that stop and go traffic. Tires on the car are michelin energy savers 225/50/r17. Ford app is handy for keeping track of your miles and unlocking your car if you forget your keys lol. If you go too many days without using the gas engine the car will turn the engine on for a minute to keep fluids moving, nice little detail the engineers thought of there.

    I adore the sounds this vehicle makes. The electric engine's whine and regen braking whines are just my favorite. The Atkinson Cycle engine sounds smooth, too. My mom owned a 2016 energi and I loved that car. I was supposed to get it after her but she totalled it.

    I just bought a 2017 energi on feb 8th 2021. Mine has 140 thousand on it. In my 20 day history I have a 70 mpg average and climbing. I also upgraded to the 220 volt charger for the faster charge. I just pull it in the garage and plug it in. We have a local restaurant that has free charging while you dine. I enjoy the ride its smooth and quiet with plenty of luxuries. I recently sold my 2017 Lincoln continental and purchased a f150 and the ford fusion energi. The fusion is a pretty darn nice little car.

Great car 99000 miles so far only tires and and I do my oil changes every 4 months. Very understated category of. Car the plug-in. Love the instant torque. Don't expect this car to be a quick merger into traffic. This is the first reason i want to get rid of it. Number two is the lack of trunk space. When i purchased it i didn't think in the future i would need the space the hybrid battery occupied. Mine is 83k miles with 22 miles range on the hybrid battery in warmer months. Winter is is worse at 18 miles. My other gripe is my phone has to be re-linked to the car every day. This started about three weeks ago but, im not sure if it's an issue with the car or the phone.

    • @jonyrock
      @jonyrock  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, thank you for the insight! I personally think it's got good torque, and if you turn the gas engine on it's okay for merging. At the end of the day you can't expect much out of an eco friendly car in terms of power.

    Awesome Video! Thanks for sharing. 2 questions, What was the price you paid for it? And Has the car required any repairs since you obtained it?

    • @jonyrock
      @jonyrock  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Can't really say what I paid for it, but the only issue is that one tpms sensor going out, I want to get new tires in the next year so I will be replacing it when I change the tires. My logic is that with the low use of the gas engine I won't really run into issues until 5+ years when the battery will start getting near the end of it's life. The brakes don't get used much either since the electric motor assists with slowing the car down. The biggest concern I have and will do soon is change the transmission fluid. With the regenerative braking the transmission goes through a lot of use, changing the fluid will keep it functioning properly for a long time.
