me personally i got my mega man experience from mega man x on 1 in 100 snes cart on a retron 3hd, which then got me into buying both legacy collections on switch
Good content and editing! Here's my little support from a fellow Mega Man enjoyer, I was your 8th sub and 98th viewer. I've been replaying the classic series and honestly don't think there's any game below 8/10, they are all that good in different ways. MM7 to MM10 was next (never played them before), so far I'm glad I didn't skip 7 and 8. MM7 is a really good game. I made the mistake back in the day to keep comparing it to Mega Man X "there's no dash, this game feels slow, not as cool without Zero in it, etc", in reality MM7 is a 16bit game that plays just like a 8bit NES game and so it does perfectly. If you play it through the Legacy Collection 2 there is a retro TV filter that makes it look goddamn beautiful with sharper pixels. And about MM8, once you get used to the art style you'll find a really fun game. The graphical improvement is obvious, it had plenty of experimental stuff in it too, anime cutscenes and kinda meme voice acting, and overall it felt like a grandeur welcome to the 32bit gaming era (PSX). Now I'm trying MM9 but I'll see what it has in store.
MM7 and 8 are some of my favorites! I thought I wouldn't like em much as a kid cuz I was more comfortable seeing the older graphics, but when I later gave em a chance a few years later, I started loving em. About the voice acting, people keep making fun of it specifically, but you can tell this was of its time. I usually play the undub mod to restore the Japanese audio tho, I think it's good
The Zero series is my favorite Mega Man series because of the smooth gameplay, the serious and dark tone, and the story. Let’s also not forget some of those great soundtracks such as “Cannonball” and “Falling Down”.
YES!!! You get it! It feels so good to just move around in the bases. If you keep wasting ur time there and not playing the actual levels, it just shows they did something right with the gameplay lol
Mega Man X is my favorite Mega Man game/favorite video game, but the Zero series just has more charm and care put into it. The X series to me was just hit or miss.
The problem with the x series is how inconsistent it's writing is, the main character gets pushed aside for a side character a lot, talk about character assassination
mega man 2 and 3 were rushed af and unfinished as a result. BEST SELLING MEGA MAN GAMES! mega man 4 actually was though out and did some new and unique things while also having a banger soundtrack. "bland" "dumb" "not as fun"
I agree with all of this. Sadly, 4-6 were kinda destined to be criticized for releasing year after year often. At least the newer generations are realizing there are more games than just the first 3 games
WTF this is hella underrated! new sub
It's always so fun to hear stories of how other people got into Mega Man!
thanks for the video! can't wait to see more from you!
I'm predicting it now, you are gonna blow up so fast... and you deserve it! Great video!
Megaman x was my very first game in the series that i played.

I agree. Mega Man X is pretty good series imo, but it's VERY inconsistent in quality while the Zero series only climbed in quality
