The next season’s game was such a heart breaker. I remember where I was for that one. Especially after I got my hopes up when Alonzo Highsmith took that fumble back for a touchdown.
My dad and I were at this game. We sat next to some LSU fans who we sold extra tickets to, and they were some of the absolute nicest people you could ever meet -- they actually insisted on paying MORE for the tickets than we were asking, if you can believe that! That was some of the most fun I've ever had at a college football game! WPS!!!
My God, Ryan Mallett was just so Special. The 85 yard TD to Cobi and the TD to Joe, just absolutely dimes! Thank you so much for this one! Will forever love the Hogs! WPS
@@aspecttnd As a person in MH who had a class of his, you either loved him (football guys) or didn't gaf (everyone else) and he got arrested for DUI a while ago, so Coach Mallett if you're seeing this i at least enjoyed your health class 😃
Tyler Wilson was arguably even better the next year. He actually had the best season for a QB in Arkansas history in 2011 Imagine what Brandon Allen would have accomplished or what other QBs we would have had if Petrino remained our coach
I remember watching this game in the stands with my parents as a little kid. The only razorback themed piece of clothing I could find was my old #9 Matt Jones jersey from when I was even littler. It didn't fit, but I didn't care. It was the first time I was able to sit through a game without squirming too. I was just mesmerized. By and large one of my fondest memories as a child.
Lol. Don't feel bad. I wore my #9 Matt Jones jersey for this game too. I watched it with my good friend who grew up in Louisiana and a huge LSU fan. Alot of cussing and screaming but a great game. I got my #9 jersey at little rock when Matt threw the game winning touchdown against them lol
Hard to believe this was the final time we faced LSU in Little Rock. I was just starting college when this game was played. I'm hoping my 10 yr reunion won't be a victim of the coronavirus later this yr.
I have been to a lot of Razorback games in my life. This may be my favorite one I attended. I love beating LSU. I can't stand them. The place was electric. This win helped us go to the Sugar Bowl. This era was probably my favorite because it was big play after big play after big play. I loved the Matt Jones and D-Mac eras also though. I have a lot of great memories and hopefully many more to come. Go Hogs!
Today's the 10th anniversary of this game. It was a Thanksgiving trifecta for me. The Patriots won on Thanksgiving Day against the Lions. My high school clinched its 3rd straight trip to the state finals on Black Friday (and beat Texarkana the next week for its 2nd straight title). And it ended with this classic against LSU!
Watched this game on the tv in my parents hotel room in San Diego. A few days later I deployed for the first time. What a great way to be sent off on deployment!
@@kbrown1054 Seems like a lot of people forget that we were #3 at one point that year, only behind Alabama and LSU, both of whom (I think) we had a 4th quarter lead over, and they played for the SEC title and the national title. We were in such a fantastic position. He may have been a garbage human being, but he was a good coach.
This was recorded in 2020. It also mentioned a message about Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga for the 8th time in a row with only happened in 2020. This was a rerun that they recorded.
Petrino's motorcycle ride is what happened. That set the program back. They showed signs of coming back between late 2014 and toward the end of 2016, but fell deeper in the hole. They're now out of the hole. Maybe not top notch like Georgia or Bama, but we're not losing by double digits to cupcake teams.
Re-living these memories actually hurt because I know we'll never see anything like that razorback team ever again, and as a hog fan it hurt me to even say
2010 Unanimous All-American, Chuck Bednarok Award for the best defensive player in the country, Jim Thorpe Award for the best defensive back in the country, 8 time Pro Bowler, and 3 time first team All-Pro. Yep, sounds like a nothing DB. Lol You stupid hog necks are so delusional…
Of all the remastered games I've done lately, this one by far has been my favorite one to make. Such a fun, and great, win.
Awesome video! Love seeing these games. Arkansas football in its prime.
Thank you warmachine for bringing back such wonderful memories great players great coach
Not sure if you saw this, wanted to make sure you did. th-cam.com/video/wp3slsaJ1yI/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for what you do.
The next season’s game was such a heart breaker. I remember where I was for that one. Especially after I got my hopes up when Alonzo Highsmith took that fumble back for a touchdown.
Side note: One more reason to hate LSU is that they call their secondary color “gold” when it’s clearly yellow. Lol
RIP RYAN MALLET. YOU ARE A TRUE RAZORBACK LEGEND!!!
Here to day to watch highlights of one of the greatest QBs in Razorback history...gone way too soon, but he'll never forgotten! RIP Ryan 💔
He was a good friend in college. Gone too soon. I miss him all the time😢
This is the most underrated rivalry ...
RIP RYAN MALLET. LEGENDARY PERFORMANCE IN THIS GAME AND HIS ENTIRE RAZORBACK CAREER.

I was there and remember this vividly. One of the most memorable game I watched him person Maybe the most.
R.I.P. Ryan Mallett. Greatest QB in Arkansas School history. 🕊🕊🙏🏿🙏🏿🐗🐗

He was currently the head offensive coach at Mountain Home, but I think he got into some trouble and went to texas

Same here but it was my McFadden jersey. This was a special era for the hogs. This was such a fun game to attend.

Petrino had this knack for being able to make his team rise up to the occasion.
if only he didn't have that knack for giving himself a rise... damnit bobby
I was at this game! Best game I've ever been to!!!
The Pass at around the 3:16 mark is one of the most ridiculously accurate passes I have ever seen. It didn't even look like it should be possible.
Only because RM had a rocket arm and the ball got there fast. Hamilton ducked and bolted TD Razorbacks

Here to see highlights of this huge win hearing about the tragic death of Ryan Mallett. Rest in Peace.
Great game! Great Era for the Razorbacks!
Thanks, Warmachine. When there are endless thieves of joy in the world, you continue to provide that joy.
The drive from 8:58 to 10:33 was straight domination. Arkansas imposed our will on those LSU dogs with impunity. That was a masterful drive.
"There's no answer for Davis!" I can't wait til we're back to that.
knile davis was UNSTOPABLE
So much right in this video. Will never forget that night. Thank you Mallett. RIP buddy!!
Watched this game on the tv in my parents hotel room in San Diego. A few days later I deployed for the first time. What a great way to be sent off on deployment!
That play at 5:30 is one of my favorite plays in Razorback history.
I think I come here just to see the last play of the first half lol Ryan Mallett was a special player.
Miss playing LSU in LR, my hometown.
The Little Rock games are something else. Wish more games are played there.
Ryan 🦾 Mallet 🐗 legend rip 💙
I miss when Razorback football was doing this to sec competition
Aggie here. If this is anything to go by, I am excited to see Petrino cook.
RIP Ryan Mallett. We are heart broken.
One of the best Razorback games I’ve seen played. The Hogs completely dominated LSU In the 4th with that run game.
I remember being at this game
RYAN MALLETT
GONE TO SOON REST EASY BROTHER 🙏
I hope Arkansas can get back to this level of play.
They will!!! And it won't be that long. GO HOGS!
Agreed!
And Jonathan,
thank you for being a Razorback.
You were one of my favorite players.
Thanks WM. Go Hogs. WPS!!!
Best game I’ve ever been to. Borderline erotic when cobi went sicko mode before half
You're quoting Beilema lol
God I loved Petrino's teams. So well coached and executed an offense better than anyone in Razorback history.
hey I was at this one!
Man back when we was good!! Wps!
Just coming back after we lost to Liberty yesterday, I miss these times…
Ahhhh Little Rock!!!
What a difference a motorcycle crash makes.
No kidding. We definitely would've won a Natty if he didn't screw up so bad

@@pyrobryan Arkansas led 14-0 in the first quarter. LSU then scored 42 unanswered points.
The good ole days
The crack back block at 9:16. Wow
RIP #15 ❤
THE LT AT 9:12!!😂
That LSU defense was the best college defense of all time
Nah. Their 2011 defense was better and even that one wasn't better than Bama's that year or Georgia's this year.
WHO IS THAT PUNTER?????? he pushes PATRICK PETERSON out of bounds not once but TWICE in one game to save TDs ???? props
Man I remember that pass to Hamilton just before half watching it live I was so hyped
12/5 upsets are not limited to March!!!
Rip Ryan
rip to a legend
REST IN PEACE 🕊️
Creative play calling
At 9:16 listen to the pop as Demarcus Love destroys an LSU dlinemen
we back baby 2022!!
Look at the LSU guy’s hand at 9:49
The whole Sec was stacked then
Go Hog's!!!
Now thats an offense
Like a hot knife through butta 😂😂😂
RIP Ryan.
at 1:15, bar at the bottom has a quote from Dr. Fauci. lol. How innocuous back then.

I wonder what happened to Arkansas? They used to be really good.

It'll happen at some point. What we've had the last few years is not the norm of the program.
man i miss those uniforms. i love everything about them. they need to bring back the sledgehammers on the backs of the helmets
Jefferson was a god awful QB that kept a ridiculously overrated LSU team in the game. And those two LSU corners got abused. Totally abused.
Fantastic game. Just awful play by play though, "On the Button" again and again and again.. Amongst other things
Soooooooie Pigs!
#bringbobbyback
God Patrick Peterson got destroyed. A nothing DB.
