This main character's a psychic. He picks up a plank straight away, because he knew he'll need it later to cross a gap. He searches through the forest for a cable, because he knew that he'll find one in an abandoned building that he hasn't encountered yet. And he knew about the blue lockers to hide in, before he can actually even see one. Too bad he didn't predict well enough that he'll be starring in an awful horror game.
I'm absolutely loving ur constant content just now Chris, got a lot to catch up on but am absolutely loving binging on all ur vidoes I've not seen yet every night before bed lol. Thank you 😊 you are the best 👌
It really is quite incredible how often Chris uploads these incredible play throughs. And I honestly can’t say the horror genre is growing any less entertaining for me as opposed to back in 2014 when Markiplier was still uploading barely edited videos from his mom’s house in Ohio.
"It's one of the forest lobsters." Indeed. Good thing they're not very bright. Good thing there was another plank of wood. Good thing there was another pit. X 3, lol. Your commentary is awesome and entertaining, Chris, even if this isn't such a gem. Perhaps this is a monster factory...
‼️‼️Commenting again for the interaction this is kind of off topic. But it's on my bucket list to one day write a bunch of diary entries talking about having to stay in an abandoned building for the night and how I think something is in here with me and blah blah blah and then scatter them around a real abandoned building. One day I WILL make sure this horror trope become real. I highly suggest everyone else add this to their bucket list as well and scatter the diary entries in their local abandoned building. My dream is that one day every abandoned building will have horror narrative dairy entries scattered throughout. I also want to make them look as realistic as possible. I'm going to date the entries so it's clear what order they're meant to be read in and just really play it up. Really going to freak out the next generation who goes urban exploring that every abandoned building they go in seems to have the mysterious disappearances of avid diarists connected to it.
OMG, this was _HILARIOUS!_ "Alright," says CJU mirthfully, "it's one of the forest lobsters!" After watching three dumbass forest lobsters fall into pits, CJU issues a challenge to the last lobster, "Get back here...you're gonna die in a pit just like your friends!" Hahaha! I am _definitely_ designing a forest lobster t-shirt. 😂 *PLEASE* play the sequel, Chris. If it's as absurd as this one, we don't wanna miss it!!
Sadly, this was a little boring for me. The sounds were nice. Good music while you were in the forest. The occasionally howling wolf was a nice touch. 👍 You should play the sequel to see if there are any improvements.
I think you should play the sequel. It'll be nice to see if the devs have improved or not. It was definitely interesting to see the difference in the Cage Face games. Hopefully this will be like that. Regardless, I always look forward to your videos no matter what you play. :)
Great playthrough, Chris. I'm a bit surprised you're not calling this one as "terrible" lol .. The game is more like a joke to me although the visual is good
Chris: 'I couldn't cut out all the boring parts cuz there wouldn't be a video" Lol!!!! It slayed me! Chris, honestly you could upload a video about watching paint drying, and it'd still be entertaining.. I dunnow how you do that.. So, I definitely want to see the sequel just for Chris's comments! Yes I do!
I think you were very nice in your review at the end ^^ It's not exactly terrible (it at least seems to run properly, pirouette notwithstanding), but it has to be one of the most basic games ever made. That said, I'm curious about the sequel, just to see if the dev(s) improved anything : a few notes, or at least anything to make the environments seem less empty, some kind of logic to the MC's actions, a basic form of AI for the enemies... But if it's as boring as this one, please don't torture yourself for us Chris ;)
I almost always wait until the end of a video to write a comment. I jumped the gun on this one because the "forest lobster" bit made me laugh so much and I (wrongly) assumed the rest of the video would be as goofy. Sadly, I agree that the second half was painfully boring. Even Chris' commentary couldn't help much. So--yeah--I retract my request that he play the sequel. 😅 Just a reminder, Fredd, that there are a couple of notes for you on D. NRR 😊

if you want something challenging and creepy play Evil Park All you have to do is collect five gallons of gasoline to power the boat and escape, but there are group of psychos roaming the place. And the locations of the gas changes every time you die
I just watched your amazing nun play through!! I haven't been around as much lately because I got obsessed with the. Astroworld tragedy and every video imaginable but I'm back to cj and it feels like home ❤️ can't wait to sit back and watch this eating buffalo chicken and mozzarella sticks. A perfect night.
For the record, I'm liking your video because you're awesome - not because I want to see more of the game... And I'm commenting to show youtube "Engagement".
Yeah the game was pretty cheesy but I'm okay with cheesy game playthroughs every once in a while XD you should definitely play the sequel! Maybe the sequel really is better. There are quite a lot of games where the first game is kind of crap, like The Legend of Zelda for instance, and the sequels are really good
My guess is that most- if not all- players had the same complaints (which are quite objective, rather than a matter of taste), so the sequel might have adressed all issues. Maybe you should check some reviews and decide whether to give the sequel a try. And let's not forget (yet another) deserved thumbs up for making a dull game entertaining!
Sequels are always better than the first game, right? So it's gotta be the same in this case... right? 😂 In any case, I would love to watch you play the sequel to this!
To be honest, i am rather curious about the improvments the sequel might has. Although i agree with u , that this game has failed to meet its full potential
Loved this ❤ thank you for the upload! Made my day 😊 I have another to recommend if you'd like, it's called "bad Ben". Love to see you play it! Keep the good vibes coming my friend 👍😁
So if my car ever runs out of cable, nevermind the auto parts store and just go out into the forest to the defunct cable factory. ...Sally better be his mom and refuse to let him out of the basement again.
Maybe the main character wasn't psychic-knowing where items were- but a really good investigator 🤪 This game was fun to watch just for your reactions. Please play sequel! And I'm trying to remember the other game that had same monster sound effect ....
This was junk 😆 but thank you for playing it! I'd say try the new series post a video and let us vote. I don't have high hopes but the graphics were good!
The game was definitely lacking, almost as if it was done in a hurry. However, in regards to the sequel, if you're playing, I'm watching. Go for it, Sir!
I hope you play the sequel, even if to just see if it's been improved. The game premise was promising, but fell a bit flat. It needed more fleshing out--ie more exploring, photos, or? I did enjoy your playthrough, as always, though, Chris. Thanks.
I'm down to watch you play with more forest lobsters. It wasn't scary...but with you playing it, it was amusing. There's always room for improvement... maybe the next one will be that special one? If you play it I'll definitely watch it.😂👍
It was pretty weak and dissapointing experience in rather beautiful landscape. But I would like to see the sequel nevertheless, If you don't mind. I have also thought about protagonist's "investigation" purpouse. I think he's a travelling spare parts trader and his on a quest to search for valuable vehical parts throughout the land...
I agree w your thoughts. Game seems to be experimental it could've been better if we had reactions from the characters when they see the monsters but the lack of it makes it seem like those monsters already exist in their universe. Like A Quiet Place. Also going around and hunting said monsters takes away from the horror 😐. There's a reason why Silent Hill doesn't give you the unlimited ammo guns until you've finished it already xD. Doesn't also help that you don't even need a gun to take these guys out. Just a plank and a pit.
The worst part was that there was no explanation why the monsters were there. No story at all. wasn't he meant to be investigating something? obviously the monsters just weren't interesting enough to be investigated :)
The game having you kill 3 of the monsters within the first 10 minutes definitely doesn't make them too intimidating. IMHO they should have pulled the plank thing once, maybe near the end.
There is a lot of holes in game, just like you said. If you are investigator you will write notes...or have a camera... But i guess... He is wannabe investigator just like game said at the beginning. He don't have anything what actual investigator would have.
I feel like the creator heard that the cliche's in horror games are overdone and tired, but instead of figuring out how to make it fresh and funky, they decided to do away with the terror by making the protag someone who's first thought is to end the monsters. Like no build up at all, so it doesn't feel satisfying as it did in, "In Sound Mind". And so badly done that it's not fun!
Just because this one doesn't impress you doesn't mean you won't like the sequel I'm only 13 minutes until I don't know if it gets better I think it's interesting
Are you going to build a Cabin like in the game the land of pain..:)....The land of pain part 3 :)...The story continue..:).....Any way it was a nice game but hm a bit strange .:)...
