It's Christmas and my sweet husband has gifted me with a Cricut mug press. So I'm back to watching Jennifer's videos. I started watching Jennifer's videos about four years ago when my husband presented me with a Cricut Explorer for my birthday. She is an excellent teacher - very easy to understand - and she started me on a totally new way of doing my card making hobby. Thank you very much, Jennifer. I was truly at whatever level is BELOW ground zero when I found your channel. Never considered myself especially crafty but you are a breath of fresh air in a sea of people who may be able to craft but don't quite have the skill or patience to teach at a beginning level. Because of you, I have gained the confidence to purchase my first Maker machine and just received my Mug Press today. I can't wait to deep dive into all of your wonderful videos. Oh, and did I mention I'm 68?

After being ghosted by people who said they would work with me on printing my images so that I could sublimate them. I was concerned about the expense of buying a sublimation printer. After watching Jennifer's videos about the various printers, I decided to just go for it. I bought the Brother SP-1. Then I watched this video on using the cricut mug press that was gifted to me a few years ago. I just printed and pressed my first mug. Oh my gosh!!! No more waiting to see if the image was too dark or fuzzy. My first mug came out awesome. Thank you Jennifer for being so clear on your directions and recommendations. You rock!!

think it's more for those who doesn't have it yet and frustrated about all tech and installations with a heat press. Especially if you haven't yet invested in sublimation printers.
As with all things, Jessica, the mug press is not meant for everyone! I don't work for Cricut, so don't know for sure, but assume it's target audience may be people who either don't have room for a large heat press, or just don't want to mess around with one! To each their own! 🥰

Do you need the flaps on the side or can you just cut out the inner rectangle on the template and save some material and use hear resistant tape to hold it on?

Hi Jennifer, If you draw on paper with the infusible ink pens to make a mug with the mug press, do you need an extra layer of paper around the mug while its in the press. Thanks

Hi Jennifer, my hubby gifted me with the mug press. ❤️ I don’t have a Cricut I have silhouette Cameo 4. I understand I can use the mug press with the silhouette. Hopefully, that’s the Case. If so, how do I go about registering it with Cricut. Do plug it in first and follow instructions. Registered. As you explain well, super didactic and manages to pass on to us the smallest details that would go unnoticed. The footage with details of the techniques is also a show apart. I just bought a plotter but it's not a cricut unfortunately, with the right vinyl, pressure and speed I can move on or do you think the ideal would be the cricut maker? Thank you and keep going.

For the mugs, you can use any mug that is made for sublimation.

Josie, take physical measurements of your mug and then size your design to those measurements.

You don't need them but I designed it so you can stick it on better and be a barrier to the heat resistant tape to avoid any discoloration. 💜

Hi Jennifer, If you draw on paper with the infusible ink pens to make a mug with the mug press, do you need an extra layer of paper around the mug while its in the press. Thanks

Thanks so much awesome so true you guided me as I set up, I tried yesterday and it said remove USB all done, I’m thinking I activated it and the light just kept blinking red never turned green, so me and my son end up going to Michaels arts and crafts to return it wasn’t able to and he said try it again try different ways watch a different video sure enough your guidance did it, thank you, continue success and bless you

Hi Jennifer, my hubby gifted me with the mug press. ❤️ I don’t have a Cricut I have silhouette Cameo 4. I understand I can use the mug press with the silhouette. Hopefully, that’s the Case. If so, how do I go about registering it with Cricut. Do plug it in first and follow instructions. Not ready to press just want to set up a free account.having trouble finding a TH-cam video instructions. I love your apron.

Registered. As you explain well, super didactic and manages to pass on to us the smallest details that would go unnoticed. The footage with details of the techniques is also a show apart. I just bought a plotter but it's not a cricut unfortunately, with the right vinyl, pressure and speed I can move on or do you think the ideal would be the cricut maker? Thank you and keep going.
