    Cricut honestly has the best customer service I have ever seen. Hands down. The best. I was on the fence between cricut and silhouette and ultimately decided cricut. They had a nice sale going on on the maker everything bundle and I wanted it so bad. I created an account, put it in my cart, and while being almost 7 months pregnant put in over a 60 hour work week (in a warehouse) to have the extra money to be able to afford it. I don’t have the money to splurge on myself like this but with it being holiday season I decided I work hard, my toddler has more than she could even imagine, my bills are paid… ima get one to put under the tree for me this year. Well by the time my pay check hit the bank a week later the sale was over and I was devastated. I was already feeling the insane mom guilt for even getting it in the first place and I didn’t have $370 bucks to spend on it. I was about to just say to heck with it. It was an idea but now it is what it is I’ll just put the extra money up for my daughters Christmas. Hormones were full blast at that point. I was at work and exhausted and I couldn’t stop thinking about it and I thought what the heck. I’ll contact cricut and see if they could still honor the sale considering I was less than 24 hours late. I was checking it every day and the day I got paid was the day the sale ended. I waited about 40 minutes to be connected with someone via chat but I held out and finally got connected with someone. I was at the point of worst they can say is no. Doesn’t hurt to try. Again pregnancy hormones full blast. I explained to the extremely nice and kind worker about everything. Being miserably pregnant, working my butt off, how exhausted and upset I was and asked her if they could still honor the sale. Keep in mind this woman did not have to help me at all. I had never bought anything from them before. Their machines would sell with or without me. This woman was so unbelievably kind, she told me that she fully understood all of my feelings at that point in time and she thanked me for choosing their company to invest into. She ended up making me a promo code and I got the bundle for about $240 after taxes n such. Which was less than the sell price at $260 before taxes. From here on out I will always be an avid cricut supporter. Any company who legitimately cares about their consumers, both new and existing, and will go out of their way to help you and let you know they care speaks volumes to me. My cricut is under the tree and I’m not so patiently waiting counting down the days until Christmas and I can open it. I feel like everyone considering a cutting machine, knowing how big of an investment it can be to some, need to know about how amazing the customer support workers are cricut are. Hopefully this comment doesn’t get buried.

      @@JenniferMaker Hi jennifer,, The older machines also have a selectable 'fast mode' that you can turn on and off in design space, but i found when using fast mode on the explorer air 2, it makes the vinyl cut very rough and poor quality, for example a name the font would be uneven ,, so i am wondering if they have just locked the explorer 3 in fast mode? and therefore lowing the quality of the vinyl cuts? whats your opinion on that? i would be very grateful for your reply, as im not sure if i should upgrade or not..

      You don't need to upgrade, you only get an extra quarter of an inch of cutting space, thats worthless. It's just a gimmick for them to make more money. And the knows are gone, if you like them. • @silverfox7081
    @silverfox7081 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    Wow! I have to chime in and say I'm on the fence about Cricut. Every time I save to buy a machine, Cricut comes out with something new. I had just purchased the Explore Air 2 and they came out with the Maker. Good thing I didn't buy the Maker because now there are two new machines. This is great for people who don't already own a machine, but I still have my Expression with 50 cartridges.

    I got the joy first and really hated the smart adhesive vinyls. There are really difficult to transfer because the backing is too thick. I don't mind use a mat that allows me to use much cheaper third party vinyls. I just purchased my maker then maker 3 came out. Don't feel too bad because of the price difference and not so much has changed. The speed up feature is good but I spent more time picking designs than making anything so 2x faster is not very attractive to me.

    Thank you, Jennifer! Your video was the best I have found on TH-cam. You helped me so much in deciding which Cricut to purchase. I also subscribed to your channel because you know your stuff, and you have a very appealing teaching style.

    Can the new 'smart materials' be used with the original maker ?

    • @kimmypersun6899

      I was wondering the same. I mean obviously we will need to use our mats, but I'm loving that cardstock sticker paper.

      They most certainly can, Stacy! You will just need to put them on a machine mat! 😍

    How did we get a Cricut Maker 3 if we never even had a Maker 2? 🤔

    • @rhull-nicholls2727
      @rhull-nicholls2727 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought maybe I had missed something?! I didn't recall hearing about a Maker 2. Was this just easier so Cricut would be able to remember the time frames of release easier?

      Hmm 🤔 good question

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's called the Maker 3 for continuity purposes. We would have noticed if they released a top secret Maker 2. 😂😊

    First of all, I love how thorough you are. Good Job as usual. However, I literally spent last night for 5 hours on my very recent maker purchase because while trying to cut multiple layers, It would cut on layer and then that darn wheel comes up and I had to start all over. Several times. Ugg. All night trying to get t-shirt done for grandsons b-day today. Obviously i need to call cricut. But if I had known a new maker was coming out, I would have waited. The smart material looks great without the mat. And I think somebody mentioned a kerning ability, which would be awesome.

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your current machine isn't obsolete, they've added kerning to Design Space so that's available on every machine. I promise we'll still be here, making projects for everyone. Thanks for watching! 😊🌻

    Hi Jennifer I hope you are well, Another great video from you. I have the two Gemini crafting machines that have not seen the light of day they are still boxed! so I am going somewhere with this. I bought the circuit joy on sale as I am on a low budget and was hooked! I have made quite a few stickers, so now I am trying hard to raise funds for the cricket maker 3 because I loved the cricket joy so much so for me personally it is Cricut all way, I now feel limited with the joy. so owning the Cricut maker 3 would be wonderful for a craft lover like myself also I spend most of my days in my home as I am Disabled. I love watching all your videos on the Cricut and what their machines are capable of. I have learned so much from your videos so thank you so much Jennifer maker.
