  • This is my wiring set up of my Garolla Garage door Euro unit being wired into the Sonoff 4CH Pro. It allows full open and close of the door without the need to hold your button down on any remotes. Hope this helps someone out!

Can you show how you wired the light too? Is it just a switch for the light on / off or does power actually run through it too ? As with the garage door ones it’s doing non mains switching. Could be good to set up automation so when door open light comes on etc. Cheers

That’s exactly how I’ve done it. I’ve got a setting where the door opens and the light comes on. Door close and garage light goes off. I’ll do a video tomorrow and also include it going up and down as someone else has asked that question too

The light was wired in taking the common from the existing light switch fitting and running it back to the sonoff controller, the other wires go in their usual places. You can set up an Alexa routine to turn the light on and open the garage door. Or issuing the eWeLink app to do the same features

@@greggyboy28 Thanks, so you extended the common from the switch fitting over to the sonoff, then took a cable back from the sonoff and fed that into the common on the switch to then complete the circuit up to the light. I guess you now do all controlling via the sonoff as that switch will have to be left in the on position. Be interesting to have it wired up in 2 way switches so the original switch can still be used...

@@thecomputertech in a nutshell yes. It took me a while to get my head round it but all can be automated and it seems to work really well

Whats the output voltage of the sonoff channels. As in the voltage going from the sonoff to the control box

dry contact, max 30V DC, max. 250V AC

So the blue and brown wires are sending 230 v ac to the controller. I just tried the same thing and broke my control

@@aidangardner9864 you must have connected something wrongly. I had teething problems and blew the fuse on mine too until I realised what I had done wrong. The wires loop the power to the control box to mimic the signal of the buttons being pressed. There’s instructions online that helped me. Mines been setup for months now with no issues at all
