I wish we saw more of these type of things, but I think they’d have to show it much like say a predator movie and Disney is too busy trying to make Star Wars a G rated experience so I don’t think we’ll get the darker and grim showing of war in the Star Wars universe which is a shame, the battle of felucia is perfect to base a “war is hell” movie around and really focus on how the battles are fought and the casualty rates and just how vital it is to have a competent Jedi general
Imagine the CIS using this things as weapons like the creatures from Ryloth. Ripping clones and shooting them a lot and they dont go down easily. Worse no Jedi ar their side. Taking up a hundred bolts before dying. And seeing it shoot lightning from its mouth knightmare fuel. Few clones survive with PTSD from now on.

Lol it just means that they are resistant to force abilitys. Alot of animals are force sensitive. They dont kno how to use it. Its all instinct. Some just get drawn to force sensitive locations.

I doubt they would bring a Ackley in a heavily populated world and the Zillo Beast incident was because their original plan (which was to send it to a uninhabited world to live in peace) was alter by Palpatine and scientists

I was perfectly fine with the desperate struggle to kill them before they ripped me to shreds in Battlefront. What gave me PTSD however was the knee high water on the Dagobah map. I can still hear the humming that came from the water and the tall grass... and the screams of fellow troopers when the got sliced to ribbons for walking through them.
Honestly my favorite monster in the Star Wars universe. Even with the battlefront 2 Vietnam edition appearance, I love these things. They’re just badasses in every regard.
That screech that they can emit is terrifying as well. Plus, the best way to kill them on BF2 was either a rocket launcher or a mine. I'm sure a det pack would work but I never tried that method. And that look on Obi-Wan's face when the acklay snapped that spear was classic. I'm glad the acklay killed several battle droids during the arena battle though.
Just a random thought, but do you know how awesome it would have been to see a *tamed* Acklay? One that was armored up and fought against battle droids. It's natural ferocity and deadly attacks would be devistating among the clanker ranks. Just imagine how cool of a sight that would be!

I have terrible ptsd of that mission. It felt like a horror movie to me. I thought I would simply be hunting droids, instead, I'm in a last stand situation with these large health screaming creatures coming at me from all sides. F that shit. If I was in that battle, I would've jumped right in the disabled walker.
It would be really nice if you made a playlist of monsters and used a naming scheme as well as similar tags so I could binge a bunch of monster lore. Also it would allow new fans of your channel to find more videos similar to what they first discovered
Let's also not forget how in Star Wars Galaxies, they're often treated as boss mobs just because of how deadly they are! ...Even if most of them are mutated ones.

Acklay are more akin to reptiles of fish rather than "insectoid" creatures. They just so happen to have 6 legs that end in chitinous claws and they also have exoskeletal armor in places. But the rest of the Acklay is clearly that of a vertebrate animal.
When I first played Battlefront 2 and you hear the radio come on and the clones screaming as the Acklays screech and tear them to shreds…I had nightmares for a week

Yes, they were a 3rd party force representing nature. Right up there with a Rancor or a Wampa.
And they only appeared on Felicia during a campaign mission
