I bought a regular Day Owl backpack the black color, after watching your TH-cam review and a few others. I love it! I think the videos don’t do it justice how it looks and feels premium when you see it in front of you. I commute daily in NYC with a mix of train and bike. The convenience of not having anything sticking out but having quick access pockets to your water bottle, keys, wallet and cellphone is great. I definitely notice the straps design as an add bonus, staying out of the way as I’m in and out the bag while its on my back. Just overall a great commuter bag I use everyday. 💯
I just got this slim backpack for school because I was tired of a big bulky feel. On the top small pocket I put my flashdrive, chapstick, and AirPods so they’re easy to access and don’t get lost. Also, I read on their website that the numbers are unique to each bag and the order the bag was created.
I just received my Day Owl Slim Backpack (black) and I love the entire presentation. It’s sleek, not too big and not too small, perfect for a daily trip to go run errands or whatever. It has sufficient organization for your basics (wallet, small notebook, cord pouch, etc.), and I love the side daisy chain loops. I attached a carabeaner for my keys and easily fit a pen and small pen flashlight as well. The concealed water bottle compartment is a nice touch. I like it. Great if you like being discreet in public. It takes up some room in the bag but this isn’t a problem unless you’re looking to carry a lot. No dangle straps?! What! SOLD! FYI- Your review was so thorough that I knew I’d love this bag. Thanks for your awesome reviews and help!!!
It would be cool if you pack the backpack with things so we can get a sense of how much it can fit/what the bag can be used for! I think it will be perfect for me as a work bag but was wondering if it would be able to fit my lunch/workout clothes/maybe a pair of gym shoes as well! Or if used a school bag, how many textbooks/notebooks it would fit! I'll give it a try anyway, thanks for the video!
Great review on both! Can you also review the Bellroy Tokyo Totepack? I’d be interested in seeing how it compares to the Day Owl and other Bellroy options.
Hey, you should check out The Commuter backpack from The Ridge. It's a dope looking weatherproof 20L bag with really good organization, and I'm sure The Ridge would send you one to review. Using it right now and really loving it.
Interesting. For some reason the backpack keeps reminding me of a mix between a military ruck pack, and a more feminine daypack. I can't quite put my finger on it. Seems like a decent pack for short day excursions through a city.
thanks for your comment! We hand't reviewed many slim bags back then, but now can definitely recommend checking out the Aer Pro Slim & Bellroy Tokyo Totepack :)
Thanks dude! My understanding is that they are revamping their brand, but they have not reached out to me to confirm, so I can’t say with 100% certainty

Glad you like the pack Emily and thanks for the heads up on the unique numbers - makes a lot of sense :)

So glad our review helped John and even happier that you love the pack!
This seems like the perfect backpack for me, but I wish they still carried this color! I'd buy it in a heartbeat if this color was still available.
They might get it up and running again - be sure to check every few weeks or so
Do they have it now?

Great suggestion! We are trying to do that in our newer reviews :)

Hey dude great recommendation! I’ve never heard of The Ridge before but checking out their packs now and they look legit

Good looks! It has sort of a weird and interesting aesthetic
Just ordered a Goruck KR1, and if the straps do not work out for me, I'm going to pick up one of these. ❤
Please keep us posted how it goes for ya!
I really like how all the alternative options strayed away from slim backpack needs to whatever, like why not reccs of similarly sized bags 😭

Hi Aaron, good review. Day Owl's website seems to be offering the bags for sale. Do you have any update on how they're doing? Thanks a lot!

“Backstreet Boys !”😂😂
🕺 😂
9 or 10 liter bag according to the volume of the dimensions given in the site
Thanks for that!
Does somebody know what happened to the dayowl website? Been trying to buy but they're out of stock on everything
pretty sure they are going out of business, check their IG - @hellodayowls - not looking good for them
I picked one up
So glad to hear! Please let us know what you think of it after you’ve tested it out for a few days
Does this backpack have enough space 4 college?
Depends how much tech gear and text books you have but I think it’ll be fine
Can I get it in India please help me out
I’d recommend reaching out to Day Owl to ask them about their shipping options
"ADIDAS! SUPREME! BACKSTREET BOYS!"
