Trying To Save And Repot My Amaryllis (2020 Update)

Two of my three Amaryllis bulbs have started to come out of dormancy. However one has struggled for the last few years with no flowers and very small leaves. In this video I repot the struggling Amaryllis and remove dead material to encourage it to grow. I also cut the top of the bulb to relieve pressure to allow the flower and leaves to push through better.

Yes, here is a link to the next video update: th-cam.com/video/14EgnDfBYj8/w-d-xo.html The other two flowered well, but the damaged bulb didn't flower this year, however it has grown a lot of leaves and I am hopeful it will flower this winter. I will be making a video update sometime this winter when they start to flower.

Any update one reported bulb as my bulb rotted after flowering what should I do?

Yes, my most recent video features this bulb back in full flower. If your bulb is rotting keep it mostly dry, only water when the compost is very dry. If your lucky your bulb will put on new growth and recover, rot isn't always fatal for Amaryllis bulbs depending on what part of the bulb is rotting. Once it shows good growth you can water it more often, but never allow the soil to become too wet.
