If Levy commented this game, he would have needed surgery on his vocal cords... "The QUEEEEEEEN !" "The ROOOOOOOK !" Agadmator recently showed games of Nurgyul Salimova who finished 2nd at the World Cup, and he also showed a game of Beloslava Krasteva who lost the youth world title in the last round and ended 3rd. Well, both Salimova and Krasteva were in the team of Bulgaria at this European championship. And on 1st board, we had Antoaneta Stefanova, a former world champion. With such a "dream team", the 1st place was finally an achievable goal.
Levys jeans are awesome; have been a fan for decades of their products. However, Levi the chess commentator is a bit too proud for my liking. I grew tired of his channel very quickly.
Why do you have to hate on Levy to praise Agadmator? Such a weird way to approach this whole situation, Gotham appeals to a younger, wider audience, Agadmator has his own serious fanbase.
@@AbirZenith How on earth could "he is a bit too proud for my liking" be considered hate? He just expressed a personal opinion in a frankly absurdly polite manner for an anonymous youtube commenter.
Understand the winning tactics here. Offering a sac to clear a piece out of the way. Then forcing another sac to put a piece IN the way, in order to constrain the king into a mating web. Absolutely amazing!
Offering that Queen sacrifice must be brilliancy of the year - in both the men's and women's games. I was literally stunned by it and still am while writing this.
Just to nitpick, at 12:20 if black plays BxQ, then the rook sac on d6 is to deflect the queen from the pin on the knight, not just to deprive the king of the d6 square. The rook already stops Kd6, the problem is that you can't play Ng4+ while the queen pins the knight. Of course it's critical that the queen does stop Kd6 after the rook is given up, but unpinning the knight is also critical. If the king were on h1, the rook sac would be flashy but unnecessary.
When she lost in Fide cup in final in a winning position with a lot of time advantage, man I felt I lost myself that game. Hope she's doing well in future 🎉
12:23 Agad got it wrong here, the rook sarc isn't to control d6 because the rook already controls it, but to draw away to queen with tempo who pin the knight, so the knight can go in for checkmate.
Incredible combination! The queen and rook sacrifice also de-pins the knight, which enables the combination. I saw that de-pinning the knight might be important, but I couldn't find the winning line.
I just gave two bucks, but I wiill be contributing more, the next time I visit your site. You provide a great service to the chess community. Thank you.
So she saced her queen so she can sac the rook to make the escaping square of enemy's king occupied by it's own queen! I'm speechless!! This pretty face hides a killer inside😢
And it was in this position, upon posting the thumbnail for this video, that agadmator's new most watched video was made and there is nothing more to be done.
Fantastic tactics by Salimova! Somehow I got a feeling that she decided to give up the e pawn, and only then she had to see why it works. It will untangle every time!
I see what you're doing here :D Jokes aside, Salimova's been in top form in the last few months. I'd like to see her in the open section. I'm sure she'd do great.
@8:54 what happens if you take the white rook to capture the black knight, the resulting capture fest could lead to the black queen being lost as the dark square bishop will give a check to the black king and if the queen defends then its check mate and if not black loses the queen
I as an amateur find it very difficult, why sometimes black doesn't castle as deliberately goes into a losing position. 3:22 for e.g. here, white has castled and enjoying good position from opening and can focus on attack while Black is deliberately in worse position or atleast a position that seems much difficult to play compared to white. Can any experienced player shed some light on this.
12:24 When agad said after sacking the queen its compulsory to sac the rook to prevent the king's escape, doesn't the rook already cover the king's escape without it getting sac'd?? The pawn checkmate sequence could have been played without having to sack the rook in that line he showed
I love this so much. She must have seen the whole combination after black played Kf6 as the kings squares where restricted in front of its pawns. Stunning tactics.
Salimova is the real Queen's Gambit!!! Her games are so amazing and she is such a strong player!!! It's so rare to see someone playing so insanely creative like her. Her games will make your head spin around! Wow!!!
5:18 But it is not winning the bishop, because black just took the knight. So it is only equalizing the material. Although black's position is rather bad after that.
A stunning game like this just proves that becoming a super-strong chess player involves a whole lot more than just memorizing countless opening lines!
11:33 once the black King stepped in front of its cavalry and infantry (Kf6), the game was over for black. So, the cardinal mistake was a failure to castle!!
