Hell yeah, I could really see myself doing this at some time. If I ever get enough money I want to buy a piece of land with a river and build my own cabin near a small stream.
Watching from the UK having been to the USA a few times. Still can't believe what an amazing country you have. Great videos. You and Sierra make a great team.
When I tent camped as a youngster, I always loved the tent. It was like a cool shelter in the woods. The fun of hanging out in the tent during a storm with the lantern lit playing cards. Magic. I miss it.
Thanks Collin, I plan to keep going as long as I can! It would be great if I could do this well into my 70s. I'm currently 44 so I hope to have many, many more years of living this way. Have a great Sunday! ~ Brian
You should of joined the army. I did this for years, spending weeks at a time in a tent, in the winter, and got payed for it. The most beautiful place in the winter, was in the mountains of northern Norway. The northern lights at night were amazing. Thanks for the video.
I was living with a woman and moved out suddenly because of thing's i learned being at home after being fired and off work healing up from an injury. I had places I could go but chose to take my dog and live out of my truck sleeping in the back and healing physically and mentally. There were pro's and con's but I can't say that I didn't enjoy every single minute of the six months. I definitely came out the other side of it a better happier and wiser man. I am in a great relationship of about 8 year's going on 9 with a woman that I crazy in love with and i know that she feels the same about me. What's great is that she understands why some times I pack up my truck and go spend a week in the woods with just my old dog that I unfortunately just lost to congested heart failure. Man am missing him. Best dog I ever had and been through so much together. I totally believe that setting around staring into a camp fire alone with just my thoughts has mental healing properties. Just re evaluating decisions I have made and upcoming plans is such an awesome thing. Really allows me to clear my head and if someone has never done this I would highly suggest you try it. Everyone is different so I am sure that this effects people differently but for me there is no substitution. In case you are wondering yes the love of my life goes with me part of the time and that's great also just in a different way. In my opinion it's the best of both worlds. If someone does this and doesn't come back with a new perspective then you are not doing something right or you are a very different person than I. God bless fellow Americans and I hope we never lose the ability and God given right to do this
This comment gave me peace of mind, I am 19 years of age doing that exact thing currently living out of my truck in Australia and I couldn’t agree more with the things that you’ve said. Sorry to hear about your pup mate!
So cozy, looks so much more so than a metal box, not knocking those at all, but there are things that you get in a tent that nothing else will compare to. The area looks beautiful. Love your girl, happy pup.
In a way it's kind of fun to be out there on your own living off the grid from place to place away from society away from all the trouble and heartache living a dream that it keeps going on like it's never stopped
I miss the creeks in the SLV the most. As long as there's nothing dead or no stables above you, the water is safe & delicious. I lived there for 8 years.
I know that’s right. Life is much larger than living to pay some stupid bills. I hated that whole thought before I was even old enough to have to participate full time. I’m definitely changing that aspect of my life. What truly sucks about it in America is that the system is designed to keep you trapped. If you get married and have children then you’re really locked in to their system. Then there’s the facet where it’s illegal to live your own way in 70% of the country, due to govt policy, regs. Sucks! But it is doable- just have to change the way we look at things and be willing to move to places that accommodate and accept us
Humans are unsatisfied lot. Forest dwellers, people staying in village desire city life and city people wants to leave city. Important thing is to learn to be at peace wherever one lives. One should learn not to give in to the demands of desire.
He has the monthly financial backing to be able to live comfortably out there and if we all had that money backing us and nothing tying us down we would all live that way
Great video. So nice to see one where over half the content isn’t devoted to gathering and cutting firewood. I learned how to use an ax and saw when I was about 12 years old, and it really irritates me when people act like this skill is something special. Thanks again for a great video.
It’s so good to see this many people loving these as much as I am. I only wish my young son finds himself outdoors, and not on a warehouse dock like his pops. Money means nothing if you can’t enjoy the time with your loved ones.
Sad to hear planes, I live out of town in New Zealand, and I was sitting outside today thinking that all I could hear was wind in the trees and the birds. Same at night, but I hear a train about three k away on a quiet night, at about three in the morning. I always love to hear about other people who like being 'out and about'!!
I haven’t had WiFi for few months! Thank you so much for putting my name on the video supporter list! I love your videos and as soon as I got WiFi today again I watched your videos first! 😁😁😁😁💕💕💕💕 thank you for giving me ideas for off grid living!
Perfect snowstorm for xmas card picture maybe with your 4 legged friend the main focus. Really like your tent comfortable style. Environment sights are spectacular
They sure are, I've been using them for years! LOVE cooking on cast iron...I'm about ready to start breakfast on my tailgate and will be using my cast iron to make a tasty omelette. :)
I just started following you an hour ago. Such a calm demeanor you have. Many of the other winter campers have lost their minds. Nothing wrong with turning into a 10 year old but the silliness gets old from this end. I'm 74 and bedridden. (Although I just had hip replacement and I can now walk as well as I did when I was 50.) I don't know yet if my sciatica is still there. (Limits my walking or standing to 15-30 minutes) I'll find out soon if the Avascular Necrosis being taken out and removed will have an affect on my nerves on that right side. I'm hoping. Anyways, that's me, once again I love your spot (in Colorado I believe)(I live in Fort Collins now, but lived near, but never in, Aspen) Here I go again about me. I grew up 90 miles from Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin. Have spent 37 years in Colorado. I've lived yeog cabins round in a tent for a total of 5 years. Have lived "off the grid " in solar log cabins a total of 7 years. Now I live in a CITY😡 with my daughter. Back to you. I don't know you as I said. I just started following you, an hour, no two now. (I type slow- pecking w/one finger) As I said, your calm, pleasant demeanor is refreshing and attractive for listening to you. So, here I go, back to you in the Sangre de Cristo camping area. Anxious to get going with you. Tom
have you ever had trouble with bears coming into the smell of food? How secure is the camp from curious people intruding in on you.....have you ever had any security problems? Love your videos and am learning a lot watching them.
I love listening to you, just so easy to watch! I have always wanted to do something like winter camping but wouldn't even attempt it without an expert like you lol! I would fail miserably😂 you look so cosy inside the tent with your lovely dog. Keep the vids coming. 👍
Hey Jason, yeah I have JRE on pretty much every morning. When I'm not listening to Rogan, I prefer the Monday Morning Podcast with Bill Burr.. That guy is hilarious!
I live off grid in a tent but out in the desert of Arizona, while working full time. I did build a camp in the forest of northern Az out of a $200 canvas storage shed and lived in it for months but the winter got way too cold. I almost put a little wood burner in mine but ended up moving into town and on grid with a heater for the second half of winter. I regret not doing the wood burner thing though, would have been a cool experience.
Too many things go through my mind about 🏕 camping; where’s the bathroom, where’s the grocery store, where’s the hospital......I’ll be okay, though. You keep on doin you, man. You got this 👍🏾😁
Thanks Mark! I've been putting more effort into them and also invested in new video editing software. So far I'm really pleased with the upgraded results. ~ Brian
I did what you did for a long time. Do yourself a favor and get the Dometic battery! It'll run their largest fridge (which I have) for more than 72 hours without a problem then you can use your Jackery for other items. Additionally, it has a direct solar connection port so no transformer needed.
You bet, I've been following your channel for a few months and really dig all of your adventures. This is a really great spot and the water is delicious!
Great setup. No tummy trouble from unfiltered stream water? Nice to have a pristine water source. Sierra knew exactly where she was going when she came back to the tent covered in snowflakes.:D
I've always wanted to live like this, jealous. With this virus in all 50 states plus Canada and U.K etc...I may grab a tent and scurry to woods anyway. Love your videos

Sooooo Beautiful! Thx for the videos! My poochie and I are incredibly jealous, need a tent like that! Camping in the snow is and has been on my to do list, just need camping buddies. I'm in AZ so snow is hard to come by here, lol. One of these days, one of these days!
Who is watching this during covid wishing you could live like this !
Definitely! These places are becoming few and far between.
Hell yeah, I could really see myself doing this at some time. If I ever get enough money I want to buy a piece of land with a river and build my own cabin near a small stream.
I thought your name is Sunny Leon
You can live like that 👌
Watching from the UK having been to the USA a few times. Still can't believe what an amazing country you have. Great videos. You and Sierra make a great team.
Your a good daddy to Sierra, she looks healthy, happy and snappy! Super sweet pupper. Glad your out doing it, don't ever stop.
When I tent camped as a youngster, I always loved the tent. It was like a cool shelter in the woods. The fun of hanging out in the tent during a storm with the lantern lit playing cards. Magic. I miss it.
Sitting in my apartment in the suburbs living vicariously through you!! I want that lifestyle so bad man never stop.
Thanks Collin, I plan to keep going as long as I can! It would be great if I could do this well into my 70s. I'm currently 44 so I hope to have many, many more years of living this way. Have a great Sunday! ~ Brian
Me too maybe when I’m older if God allows me to,
It's smarter and cheaper if you can live like this. The money he must save on paying rent or a mortage.
You should of joined the army. I did this for years, spending weeks at a time in a tent, in the winter, and got payed for it. The most beautiful place in the winter, was in the mountains of northern Norway. The northern lights at night were amazing. Thanks for the video.
Darrin Fry my 3 year old daughter lol
Loved when the dog came in from the snow and jumped on your bed....great video
Love our video's. N ur dog
Be safe out there....looks beauitful with the views too
Thanks Penny! ~ Brian & Sierra (ruff)

Sad about the loss of your road buddy, they definitely leave paw prints on your heart and soul. Carry on into wild!
That dog makes me so happy
winter camping is a challenge but a treat all the same. Love your banter with your dog "What's up baby girl.." she knows she is loved~
Hands down the best tent that I’ve ever seen in my life. 👍🏿
So cozy, looks so much more so than a metal box, not knocking those at all, but there are things that you get in a tent that nothing else will compare to. The area looks beautiful.
Love your girl, happy pup.
Thanks Giselle, yeah Sierra is a great travel companion. She's so much fun to camp with. :) ~ Brian

Heaven!! A week of that would definitely reset my soul. My Blood Pressure would thank me to get away like that. Have fun and be careful!!
I fed up with living for next bill to pay life style. Every morning wake up by alarm ⏰. Nice to see some brave soul out there.
I know that’s right. Life is much larger than living to pay some stupid bills. I hated that whole thought before I was even old enough to have to participate full time. Living like that cost money too.

Kawa F, I know how you feel man. One day when I retired this is what I’m looking forward too. Leave the city and just live off the grid
Nice. Dogs just flat out love to go camping with their favorite people. Keep it up, I really enjoyed watching this.
Great video. So nice to see one where over half the content isn’t devoted to gathering and cutting firewood. I learned how to use an ax and saw when I was about 12 years old, and it really irritates me when people act like this skill is something special. Thanks again for a great video.

Watching this, I feel like your dog
Utter bliss
Best things in life are simply living a simple life. And enjoying it.
Listening to the JRE while camping, must be nice. Cheers man, all the best to you!
Nice tent set up and camp sight, this is a cool way to live. Sierra makes herself right at home she is the queen jumping up on the bed like that.
I also love @ForestryForest......he makes it happen
Snow princess 👑 Sierra. I’m obsessed with winter(brutal) camping. But Sierra was the reason I was drawn to yr channel. Whata Cutie!
Sierra looks comfortable!
I like the mudroom tent you created before going into the main tent. That was clever.
You are living the dream brother. Jealous. Thx for the video
Great video Brian and Sierra
Your dog makes me smile when he jumps on the bed. He is so cute
Sierra is the star of the show, I'm just here to make sure she's comfortable and well fed :) ~ Brian
Who could live without a dog? My pug is snoring by me right now:)

Thank you! You too!
Wow. Snow. So beautiful
Now that's the life. I miss Colorado.
Love the channel. Served in the Air Force for 12 years been all over the world. Got out and looking for outdoor adventures. Thanks.
Heck yeah Foresty forest!!! Subbed; I love this community!
I would do this if I could. Nature is the best!
Sad to hear planes, I live out of town in New Zealand, and I was sitting outside today thinking that all I could hear was wind in the trees and the birds. I've heard New Zealand is beautiful, I'd sure like to visit that area of the world one of these days!
If you used plastic sled, you could fill more water containers and drag sled behind. We did this when watering our horses in the winter.
Oh yeah! snow, wood....poochie sitting in the snow was so cool! Foresty Forest is a fav! man ur cookin good! great vid!
I haven’t had WiFi for few months! Thank you so much for putting my name on the video supporter list! I love your videos and as soon as I got WiFi today again I watched your videos first! 😁😁😁😁💕💕💕💕 thank you for giving me ideas for off grid living!
What a happy doggie!!! I LOVE to see the dogs enjoying their lives!!! She looks sooooo content!!!!
She's the best! I'm so fortunate to have her along with me on these adventures.
I have to echo Mr. sharp below!I'm glad you took me along on your awsome journey!!Thanks!-J
Thanks for checking out this video, Jimmy! Hope your Sunday is going good ~ Brian
Perfect snowstorm for xmas card picture maybe with your 4 legged friend the main focus. Really like your tent comfortable style. Environment sights are spectacular
You are inspiring, that burrito looks really good. Keep up the good work.
Those cast iron pans look well seasoned!
They sure are, I've been using them for years! LOVE cooking on cast iron...I'm about ready to start breakfast on my tailgate and will be using my cast iron to make a tasty omelette. :)
Sierra chillin on the bed was cute. Cinnamon bun overload! HA
Omg what an awesome view xx
Love frosty forest that guy is amazing

Dude tht is beautiful. You are truly blessed. And shared the blessing with us. Thank you. Enjoy and think of all of us out here. LoL
Also- your stove as well. Impressive set up. I love it.

1: Your life is better than mine!
2: why did you have to cook food?! Now I’m hungry!
3: I live vicariously through you!
Thanks for following along, Josh! Hope your weekend has been a good one.
This is such a charming way to live. I love it! ❤
I love your video so much that i didnt skip the ads to help you. Enjoy camping! Love from the Philippines
I am really enjoying your video’s.
Thank you, I'm glad you like them! ~ Bria
JRE while cooking, bro it doesn’t get much better. Keep the videos coming, you’re inspiring me to get out more.

Thanks David, I'm glad you like the music. I really enjoy picking out different tunes for these videos. Have a great evening ~ Brian
On 13.58 I love the music, please tell me about this
Nothing like a boy with his dog... 🐶🐕🐶
You are great... Thanks for sharing
Too many things go through my mind about 🏕 camping; where’s the bathroom, where’s the grocery store, where’s the hospital......I’ll be okay, though. You keep on doin you, man. You got this 👍🏾😁
These videos have been getting better and better. Nice work!
Thanks Mark! I've been putting more effort into them and also invested in new video editing software. So far I'm really pleased with the upgraded results. ~ Brian
Just you and a dog ! I'm sold
My dog does the same thing. Just sits out in the snow loving life!
I did what you did for a long time. Do yourself a favor and get the Dometic battery! It'll run their largest fridge (which I have) for more than 72 hours without a problem then you can use your Jackery for other items. Additionally, it has a direct solar connection port so no transformer needed.
Your dog is so cute and smart, lol.
Love watching you x
Thanks for the shout out! Looks like you got a sweet spot there, gotta love that pure spring water.
You bet, I've been following your channel for a few months and really dig all of your adventures. This is a really great spot and the water is delicious!
I am off to check out your channel also
⁰
I feel I sought out your channel just to see life through your experience. Love the videos.
Those tents are awesome
Man I really like that tent!
I like the tent when the vestibule becomes part of the equation 👏🏾
I love how your dog jumps in your bed. She knows where the good spots are. Great video. Live winter camping. Live in the U.P. of Michigan
I absolutely love your lifestyle. Serine & Beautiful. Thank you for sharing!!!🙏✌💞
Foresty Forest is wonderful 💙
Yeah, he has a great channel and I really enjoy his videos.
Great video man. Nice spot!
Good on you adventures
that looks like so much fun!
I really enjoy winter camping in this tent!
Love the snow
I drink straight from the stream as well as long as it’s running and not stagnant
Great setup. No tummy trouble from unfiltered stream water? Nice to have a pristine water source. Sierra knew exactly where she was going when she came back to the tent covered in snowflakes.:D
Ya 😐 sorry you suffering from your allergy symptoms stay safe and thxs for amazing videos
Thanks Liz, I'm hanging in there :)
I’m a lover of camping. I’ve winter camped but without a laptop, solar panel, wood stove, or refrigerator. I like a more primitive set up.
Love your vids and life style sir
I've always wanted to live like this, jealous. With this virus in all 50 states plus Canada and U.K etc...I may grab a tent and scurry to woods anyway. Love your videos
Looking like over near Great Sand Dunes NP. Looks like a great time where ever that is!
You nailed it, I'm near the sand dunes!
If you could use a Dc to Dc charger with multiple charging profiles including lithium, you could charge from the main battery when the car is running. This can give you a massive amp hour input of 20 amps plus per hour. (depends on the setup you use) using the inverter is a loss of around 12-15% in charge.. Good luck, I like your videos and wish you well. Mark Australia
Great video enjoyed so much thank you for sharing God bless
I did a month-long hiking trip based near Crestone in the Sangre De Cristos. I love the area.
I was going to take a couple of weeks and hike the Rainbow Trail over there this summer. However, it appears they have closed a large section due to the Deckers fire last summer. BUMMER! But....there are plenty other trails over there to check out. Any recommendations? I'm prepping myself for hiking the Colorado Trail next summer.
Wow, that sounds like a great experience! I love Crestone....was just there to watch the Super Bowl at the Brewery.
You make me laugh and hungry at the same time.
Really worth to see ur vedio u r great
Thank you do much! I admire your lifestyle.
"NICE WEATHER IS FOR WIMPS"...I totally agree!!
Sooooo Beautiful! Thx for the videos! My poochie and I are incredibly jealous, need a tent like that! Camping in the snow is and has been on my to do list, just need camping buddies. I'm in AZ so snow is hard to come by here, lol. One of these days, one of these days!
Food looks great ! & You have pretty eyes.
