- With its many curves, elevation changes, and natural beauty, the Italian countryside is a perfect place to own a vintage car. While many dream of the legendary cars to roam these roads, when Donato Maniscalco was ten years old, his car of dreams was a Porsche 911. Years later that dream was realized when he purchased a 1968 Porsche 911t. Instead of keeping his collection of cars and his 911 in a garage, Donato observes the rich history of Italian motoring and regularly participates in rallies and drives. Donato can regularly be found whipping his car around the beautiful country hillsides of Italy.

Wow I'm a little disappointed in some of the comments here. Are you people seriously complaining about the car in the video? All of this content is free to you. Not a single penny from any of you makes any of this happen. All of this content by the way is very unique and unusual to the car world. If you don't like it or don't like seeing "another" 911, feel free to go watch something else.
I'm not saying you can't comment, nor can you point me to where I did. You have the freedom to say whatever you want. It doesn't even have to be coherent, or in this case, logical or reasonable. All of this content is totally, utterly free to you and everyone else. You contribute nothing to production, directing, editing, or anything in between. And yet, you take issue with it. Ever hear "beggars can't be choosers"? You're not even doing that much. I'm not saying you should do one thing or the other. I just want to at least try and make you aware of how absurd your point of view is.
No, Yahmeer, I'm sure you weren't trying to be an ass; you just are one. Are you seriously gonna insinuate that I believe my personal views matter to the people behind these videos? You're the one taking issue with them making "another" 911 video and saying that if they're gonna make this a classic 911 channel, they should "say that". That's interesting coming from the one who believes "these videos are driven by views", and not someone's "personal views".
And like I said in my original comment, if you don't like what they're putting out, feel free to watch something else. Though I think we both know you're not going anywhere.
Petrolicious, please do your best to make this channel freer and more accommodating to Mr. Zockheem. Maybe some sort of silver platter delivery system can be worked out.

Regardless of the content, what is wrong with people saying their opinions since there is a comment section? I thing every single video is great but I can understand others having different opinions and that would not make me to tell them go watch something else which means get out. And he never insulted you. By that logic we are never allowed to comment anything on TH-cam cause it's all free.

When I start hearing comments like "too many Porsches!" I start to become suspicious that I am in the wrong place. This channel could be ONLY 911s and it would still be awesome. No other car has such an iconic and unbroken lineage as the 911 and it's an amazing way to experience owning a vintage car that looks and feels like an age gone by. YOU the average person can go out and buy one, drive it everyday to work, race it on weekends, customize it or restore it, join passionate clubs devoted to it, and pass it on to your kids (or not). The dedication of the owners in these videos isn't even unique, it's just what owning a 911 is all about. What better subject could there be for an automotive video?
I would have to agree with you on this, Tim. I have many fond memories of my 1959 Porsche 356-Cabriolet, and it was such a joy to drive. :-)

It's a Porsche, an old one, in lovely order.. in Italy, one of the most BEAUTIFUL countries in Europe..
The owner seems a real nice man, not a bit FAT [?].. and as all Italians are style concious.. he is wearing a jacket and a tie. So what.! he's Italian.. it's what they do.. GET OVER IT.!
I would be there in a heartbeat.. the car is lovely, the film is beautiful.. well done you lot for giving us Joy again..the BEST on Ytube by a mile.

At 2:15, I dig how he lets go of the wheel and allows the car to return back to center, you just don't have that today without traditional manual steering.
2018 november.5 years ago this was produced Petrolicious still making beautiful short films.
The 911 is also one of my favorite cars, but only the air cooled ones. The older, the more beautiful. Not many people seem to know that this car was originally not designed as a sports car, but as a GT. A daily driver plus, so to say.
These are by far my favourite car videos on TH-cam. Tastefully and professionally put together with insight from genuine car lovers. No shit dub step and neon under-glow bollocks here. Keep them coming!

enthusiast talk about their passion to art on 4 wheels. These old 911 are true icons of motoring history. It's not about silly horsepower and it never was. The combination of timeles design combined with technic of it's time is what makes just metal unforgettable. I am glad to own a nice old flat six aircooled and I will never get bored looking at it.
How is Petrolicious still at under 75k subscribers? This, and the drive channel are the best things on TH-cam. And as for another Porsche... I don't care, I do care about the attention that goes into every episode however. Brilliant. Keep it up. P.
I only found this channel yesterday but already I love it. Well produced and done in the words of the car owners themselves. I'm especially loving the Porsche videos, because what strikes me, other than the love of the owners for their cars, is that they drive the cars frequently and often pretty hard. That's great and what these vehicles are designed for. A well maintained Porsche is a proper every day super/sports car and that's one of the reasons why I love that brand.

I had one from 1970 - 1972 after having a 356 BT5 Super 90 for 5 years and a 914/4 for 6 weeks !
people complaining about 911s hahaha well thats because the 911 is the most purist automobile for any car enthusiast, you've watch the videos and have heard their stories and all of them know that the 911 really is special

Never forget always add 1% two stroke oil to your fuel when using modern ultra aggressive eco fuels in old carbed or fuel injected engines, in Germany any vintage Alfa or Porsche driver adds 1% smoke free Api TC oil to the fuel!

This 911T has exactly the engine type that motored later on the 914-6 mid- engine type. 110 DIN_HP or about 133 SAE HP.
Yes, that's true....honestly the 914 was not a beauty on four wheels.Yet it had decent driving qualities.

Iron, not lead. And then they put 2 batteries in the front. The 911 is a fantastic execution of a less-than-great engineering concept.

I had the pleasure to drive for one whole day a 912 and a 911 T . I was very disapointed with the 911T that I found terribly "clumsy" and lacking of power. I enjoyed far better the 912, much lighter and fun to drive. I am sure that a E or a S is a totally different world, but frankly, 911 T first gen with 110 HP... I'll pass.
+vikos78 I have a 66 912 that I have nearly finished restoring, yet have lusted over a flat 6 for many years. I'm still undecided whether to sell my car, buy a late 70's SC Carrera and pocket a fair wedge of cash, yet comments like yours above make me want to keep the 912
you're not wrong. I've driven every early 911 model and owned a 2.4S oelkappe for many years. A well sorted 912 with just 100bhp is much more fun and just as quick under 100mph. Lighter, better balanced , gutsy and with delightful handling and steering feel. I love the metallic sound of the 911 engine but 616 motor on twin weber 44idf's sounds glorious too, if not as "thrashy"
