What all did you put in it? As someone who would normally eat eggs, how would you describe the texture/flavor? I've only ever fried or stir fried tofu, so I'm curious about other preparations.
The only problem is an experienced vegan would know that an English muffin is not plant-based. So that's a big fail. Get a vegan in there who has more experience than this. It's very disappointing that she doesn't know that.

Christina Chaey, one of the editors who stayed, just announced that they have formed a Condé Nast union, which is a huge step towards workplace equity. Chris and Brad were two of the white editors who stayed, and I’ve lost all respect for them.
Chris had the prototypical breakfast sammy, Rachel had the most interesting/best looking sandwich, but I love Brad for making his entire breakfast using only one utensil. Everyone made a delicious and great looking sandwich though. Will be working my way through these along with all of the other foods I've watched in this series.
OMG, Melissa! A restaurant owner talking openly about Spam! I grew up on the stuff! Sliced or cubed and fried or just smooshed and made into a Spam salad ( that is, a Spam ham salad. One of the best Spam dishes I had growing up: Spam and beans! Think "beanie weenies" aka franks and beans. Cubed Spam fried crispy than add a can or two of your favorite baked beans! So good!
I marinate my Tofu in the seasonings and sauces that go into a Tofu scramble overnight and then slice and sear to go into a breakfast sandwich. Holds together a little better.
I would be really happy with every one of these . I don't like ciabatta and goat cheese much , but those are the only things I'd change. Probably my favorite breakfast sandwich is based on Korean street toast. Shred cabbage and a little carrot, add green onion and diced Thai chili, and a little salt and pepper. Crack eggs into that and mix. Cook into a bread shaped patty and melt cheese on top. Eat on shokupan with your condiments of choice which can include jelly, ketchup, cholula etc., whatever you like.
Chrissy Tracey i give you props. There is no way I could be plant based. I am a lazy undedicated person when it comes to makeing food things. Anyway Chris Morocco won this for me.
Just cook the egg until the yolk is almost waxy (medium egg about 6 minutes). Takes way less time and effort than the egg-cream-thing. And leave the crust on the bread - faster meal, more taste!

Liquid Smoke and "browning liquid" aka Kitchen Bouquet are absolutely amazing. So many of my super snooty chef friends bad mouth both of them so much, but I've used both so many times and I have gotten so many good comments on my food.
Frittata sando made me say “Oooooooo” out loud while I’m on the bus. I was thinking that it was too much herbs etc. going into some eggs and then she said “ya this is hella herby but trust me.” Ya I’m gonna trust you that one is absolutely happening next monday morning.
I was really intrigued with it as well and it's a great way to use up some goat cheese! I have this "muffin tops" pan that I like to use to bake eggs with for breakfast sandwiches and I think I'll make that frittata in it, then make the sandwiches and freeze for easy grab and go. 🤔
Try it!! When you crumble it and cook it like that with all the seasoning and veggies it doesn't really have that tofu flavour and texture! I also love adding a splash of soy milk, it makes it a little creamier and more like scrambled eggs!

BLT or tuna pan bagnat are my go-to choices, but a cheese and mushroom pannini with or without proscuitto would be good, as is smoked salmon and cream cheese with raw onions and capers on toasted an Italian roll (I don't like bagels.) As a child my favorite was a creamy French-style scrambled egg sandwich on very generously buttered toast.
Taylor ham for every meal. With or without egg and cheese. On a burger bun or a bagel. Grilled or griddled. With mustard, hot sauce, or plain. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Brad!!! Kudos for repping the pork roll :) may I suggest adding green bell pepper to the mix? That’s my take, I call it a “PLT” pork roll/pepper, lettuce, tomato. PS. In Trenton/ Mercer county we call it “pork roll” - Taylor is a brand. Kind of the cotton swab vs. Q-tip situation.
Only recently learned of pork roll/Taylor ham, due to a Stephanie Plum book. Wondering if bologna or Spam would be nearly the same result. The bun on that one looks amazing! I love that version of a blt.
13:40...drippy yolk bits...I like runny eggs. I like an omelet that is fluffy with a runny interior. When you cut into it with your fork a puff of steam billows out of the dish. Hard boiled eggs are great, but a soft boiled egg is heaven. Also, non of these sandwiches have any cilantro, why? Washed and kept in the fridge, uncut - stems and all, then then set atop at the last second before serving. Those chewy stems are the best part.
I think the main ingredient of a good breakfast sandwich is ease of creation. Breakfast sandwiches are a portable grab and go breakfast. You're in a hurry. Who is making quiche when they are in a hurry? Scramble and cook one egg. Costco precooked bacon the microwave for 40 seconds. Salt, pepper, hot sauce and cheese on a Costco crossaint that is lightly toasted and go. That's how I roll, lol.

If you made a quiche the day before, making it into a sandwich the next day would allow a change instead of having to repeat it and allow to use up things in the fridge.

Mine is some toasted bread, with a slice or two of cheddar or any cheese that’s similar to it with sliced colored capsicum and arugula.
Haven't watched this channel (besides a few "it's alive" vids) since the whole ordeal happened. Gotta say it really isn't the same.

I think the main ingredient of a good breakfast sandwich is ease of creation. Breakfast sandwiches are a portable grab and go breakfast. You're in a hurry. Who is making quiche when they are in a hurry? Scramble and cook one egg. Costco precooked bacon the microwave for 40 seconds. Salt, pepper, hot sauce and cheese on a Costco crossaint that is lightly toasted and go. That's how I roll, lol.
I pop an egg in the microwave for a minute (pop the yolk so it doesn’t explode!!!), and then do that, cheese, and Mayo on bread
U can microwave eggs and it works well and uses less dishes
right? I usually put together a bun, cream cheese, normal cheese and some deli meat and that's all the time I have in the morning for food prep! who are these people making frittattas? i mean they sure look amazing but are they waking up an hour early for it?
If you made a quiche the day before, making it into a sandwich the next day would allow a change instead of having to repeat it and allow to use up things in the fridge.
