Tbh this is the first video I watched where they went back to the test kitchen post Covid, post the 2020 scandal/exodus. It almost feels like stepping into an alternative universe seeing all these unfamiliar faces in this very familiar physical space. Almost like going back to your old high school: the place is still the place, but the people you made those fond memories with are all gone. A strange feeling. (That said still good to see good old Brad, Chris and some new faces though!)

Brad!!! Kudos for repping the pork roll :) may I suggest adding green bell pepper to the mix? That’s my take, I call it a “PLT” pork roll/pepper, lettuce, tomato.
PS. In Trenton/ Mercer county we call it “pork roll” - Taylor is a brand. Kind of the cotton swab vs. Q-tip situation.

Taylor ham for every meal. With or without egg and cheese. On a burger bun or a bagel. Grilled or griddled. With mustard, hot sauce, or plain. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Brad! Taylor ham! What we call pork roll! Very local/regional ingredient. One of my favorite school lunches. It was called "pork roll on a roll with french fries," and I ate it with simple sweet pickle relish. Ketchup on the fries, but not on the Taylor ham. I was a purist when I was in grade school.

I think the main ingredient of a good breakfast sandwich is ease of creation. Breakfast sandwiches are a portable grab and go breakfast. You're in a hurry. Who is making quiche when they are in a hurry? Scramble and cook one egg. Costco precooked bacon the microwave for 40 seconds. Salt, pepper, hot sauce and cheese on a Costco crossaint that is lightly toasted and go. That's how I roll, lol.

If you made a quiche the day before, making it into a sandwich the next day would allow a change instead of having to repeat it and allow to use up things in the fridge.
