Love the list! I really like snow queen, and pushed high difficulties with her (black moon nightmare with 3/4 starting talents, so far! I know there are players likely doing far beyond this) I agree with a ton of it, but there were a few points that I felt I would love to comment on. I hope you don't mind - please don't take offense at me giving different opinions - I loved the video! Shattering blast - I think it's a level 2 talent for sure! The critical point for me is that it isn't just a free shatter - it's a free shatter that hits BEFORE the regular blast hits. That means you don't have to 'lose' the chill effect in the way you mentioned. This allows her to skate in and chill people, then shattering blast, then immediately shatter. At low levels this will often kill a camp outright. Hailstorm - The damage from hailstorm *is* really high. The waves do significantly more damage than the power attack itself, and I feel you might have missed that, especially when you said 'there's other power things that are going to do more damage for you', mentioning frost surge - frost surge adds less damage than hailstorm (and of course also adds casting time, hamstringing DPS more) Rupture / starting talents - When I discount difficulties that I can beat every game, and only look at the ones I might or might not win, I have the lowest win-rates with rupture (despite it being by far my most picked starting talent!) I kinda think of it as her 'main' talent, given the quest and the way her kit wraps around it and such. It's definitely her most interesting! Like you I still felt that dual lances was superior (disappointing, given how much more complicated rupture is to play - I'd rather it had a marginally higher power ceiling to go with its higher skill ceiling). But after a lot of games on those difficult challenges, I was pretty surprised to find it the *worst* talent. I can see how this might be specific to high difficulty (where slowing enemies 50% more, or having clones tank all the hits, is probably more important) Clones might well have been the strongest, and there was a huge gap between the excellent clones/dualLances, and the poor frostQueen/rupture. Windy Lances - Do people really think it's not great?!? I totally agree with you about this, it's amazing. (I kinda hate how good it is for how easy it is to use!) Ice Shield - I should probably mention that Ice Shield turned out to be the very most important talent for me to get - again this might be specific to Black Moon Nightmare, but I think it's interesting to note that it was more impactful to success than radiant crown, hailstorm, shattering blast etc! (btw, you scrolled past it while saying you couldn't find it.). The reason I found it the superior shield might be because it's just 1 ability to activate, and full strength no matter who you're fighting against... But then I haven't played much multiplayer, and I can see how multiplayer would swing this to a lower power level. Lance Burst - I love how well you described the problem with it, it's all about facing direction. I noticed there are ways of making her turn almost instantly (her special whips her around when first cast etc), but I was unable to find a way of guaranteeing the full shotgun without disrupting her ideal attack patterns. Snowball - I agree it's tons of fun, but for power I think that was too high (or hailstorm low). Its application of chill is indeed good, but hail does that, and as I wrote above shattering blast does it 'only better' (gives you an extra shatter, saves the time casting shatter!) It's a laugh though, and really useful with the frost queen starting talent. - Again, thanks so much for the video. I've enjoyed quite a few of your videos, but I was very happy to see my favourite hero featured!
@@xxxxSylphxxxx Haha no worries no offense at all! I really appreciate comments like these cause there still so many things I miss about the game like shattering blast still applying chill without the need for frost queen haha. With frost surge I agree the talent on its own doesn’t really do much, I find that it does become really good for clear speeds though because it benefits so many talents with the added AoE (frost queen, shattering blast, hailstorm, snowball, ice cores). I really like that talents that can scale their usefulness from other talents, kinda like sforzando on pied piper. And from my understanding hailstorm and snowball are coded as a separate source of damage from power so they don’t benefit from balor’s eye or king of clubs (I could also be wrong here but this seems to be the case) where the additive damage or frost surge can be applied when charging it. But after posting this video I did do a snow queen power build and felt like I was getting a lot more out of hailstorm when paying more attention to it. (Also I agree snowball is a bit high, honestly more of an enjoyment A tier for me than function lol). For windy lances I saw another tier list where it was put at C and have seen some other videos on TH-cam of people saying to not take it when they had strafe and lance burst which was confusing to me, yeah it’s pretty busted for no effort. And with ice shield that’s actually super relatable, I use to never take the scarlet talent “Aggressive Defense” because it only scaled with your overall damage and didn’t have any synergies but after doing some challenge runs I found it to be necessary for werewolf form to have some more AoE. Thanks again for this comment, gonna be a lot more open to shattering blast at level 2 from here on out😂
@@positive4ce Regarding 'additional damage sources talents add' (Hailstorm, Snowball etc), I haven't yet found a solid rule for how Ravenswatch handles these, so I've just been working them out on a case-by-case basis. In frost qqueen's case, Hailstorm is *definitely* modified by stuff that boosts power./ If you find an exception please let me know as I haven't tested everything, but the important ones (king of clubs, raven's claw, and nightmare thorn) all work on hailstorm. (One that I haven't tested, actually, is frost surge!) And Hailstorm does significantly more damage than power, so consider it something like a +150% damage boost Snowball is one I haven't tested thoroughly, its lower base damage just put me off! I agree about frost surge being great - better than many players expect, I think. I love how you can hit gargoyles well outside their threat range, and the damage boost from a legendary surge is massive! Generally speaking, the damage ingame is multiplicative, so Nightmare ichor, atack 100, and ice shards on frosted target (+70%) would deal 680% damage. . (I've found most success in nightmare with an early epic/legendary pirouette. )
Glad you found it! It's a great game and some of my newer videos are more catered to new players to help them understand what they should be doing. The first Carmilla video really goes in depth on how you should be pathing, hopefully some of the vids can help!
I don't know about the shield dude. I only play coop with one or two friends. All games we've won in higher difficulties, have always been with me having the shield on defense + 2 or 3 charge of defense + object giving you 25% given heal / shield. It's massive sustain, like 33% health shield every time. Any time I don't have this, we're getting downed a loooot more
Completely agree now, they recently buffed how much shields give you in late game, the scale use to be 10% per level and now it is 15%. Shields are in a much better positon. I was also focused a lot more on solo play with these lists as my co-op experience was mainly with one other person but I've been doing 4's in stream and shield is really good now
@@ShepherdV Yeah that’s a really good point, super helpful with shattering blast and radiant crown for quick AoE burst, honestly hailstorm should be higher
Didn't know that Jack had been bugged with her special. Perhaps it's time for a special run then, since I've kinda been avoiding it. Great list as always, cya
They fixed it a while ago, probably like 2 months ago but I think I've only done the special build once or twice since then, with the 4x Jack and both talents it feels pretty good now, give it a try!
I REALLY disagree with you putting freezing stars so low. I think its one of the better talents for reapplying chilled to enemies, especially since its an aoe, i feel like you can get way more value out of it than you can with slide hitting one or two enemies. Great video as always tho.
I've never had a great run with it. I feel like the AOE effect needs a buff. It'd stack well with the ice slide, vajra and dash CD/Dash stacks. If you can build it it'll work well, but it feels niche most of the time.
@@jzj114 Yeah this is kinda how I feel as well, without fully committing to the dash build it feels a bit underwhelming, I'd rather take another defense or power charge to apply chill in most cases
I can understand that, I think if you have the build for it and can load 4-5 up and are good at kiting enemies over them then it'd feel pretty good, I think it just takes a lot more investment to get it working but probably just more of a preference thing
Even in the 'untouchable' challenge, where I thought it would really, really shine, I just couldn't find a use for it other than 'fun'. I tried to build around it in untouchable nightmare, and its damage was so low, the act 2 boss took about 9 rotations to kill! Ultimately, the build did get to the last boss, but that was undoubtedly from the rapid dash + swan cloak. It certainly applies chilled, but I think a lot of things do that better (hailstorm being the best IMO) , and the damage from ice cores is just miles too low. I even started to wonder whether perhaps only 1 or 2 explosions were being counted, because monsters would survive 5-6 core 'traps' at times!
I’m excited for your stream! 🤘 and thanks for all the tier lists, their great!
Thanks for the support! I hope these have been helpful
As always, great vid man. I hope you blow up!
Seriously though. One of my favorite YTbers.
Thank you, really appreciate that!
