Aiight, I feel this🔥🔥🔥 But here me out.. The last worshippers, cultists and servants of Hell on Earth (Corrupted humans, zombified ones and like half-demons that wasn't destroyed outside hell) perform this unholy ritual to teleport the body of the Icon of Sin to let's say to the Blood Swamps..
And then, these same cultists, worshippers and half-demons with the help of the summoners, harvesters and the arch priests (a.k.a Archviles) of hell, that know how to wield the ancient dark powers and sorceries of Hell to perform a ritual, that for the absolut last time resurrects the Icon of Sin.
The now resurrected Icon with glowing unholy runes upon it's zombie like body standing in the height of his power and might is prepared and magically weaponized to be ready against the Slayer as Hell knows that he shall rise from the tomb where he is resting.
And when Slayer is called back to destroy this mighty titan with it's new found dark powers, the Slayer calls upon Maligog to help him fight against this terrrible threat, so the Slayer could find the source of it's power and whatever is feeding it these dark and hellish energies that keeps it immortal and in control.
And we as the Slayer witness Maligog having the TRUE clash of the titans. The godly titan Maligog vs the resurrected now even more powerful, strong and mighty Icon of Sin with it's new found unholy powers, magics and sorceries. And Maligog's last job for his master in this case is to hold the Icon as long as possible, so the Slayer has time to destroy the source that keeps the Icon immortal and empowered.
