    You’re one of the only people putting out modern and fashionable outfits. The drapes and boho looks for SN are a little overdone, but this video showed so many more examples than the usual! Love your content.

      I was watching other videos about sn to get an idea of how to dress but they were all celebrities in fancy dresses and I just wear jeans and shirts bc yk, I’m not a celebrity and have a dress code at work

    I was having such a hard time typing myself until this video. (Probably bc I dislike boho looks immensely and that's what I would usually see suggested for SN), but these outfits are literally what my pinterest boards are full of, and very closely match my very favorite pieces in my wardrobe that I always feel confident in and gravitate towards all the time. This was so helpful, thank you!

    The SN Pinterest board = oh so many things I've tried to make work over the years with little success. The neighboring D board = a loud sigh of relief, home again. Thanks for these visuals Rita! I enjoy seeing the same or similar mood for different IDs, especially when it busts the myth of an ID equal to a certain style.

    I agree that SN don’t look great in very cropped tops nor bottoms, a bit of length looks much more chic on them!

    I totally wear those "tailored" blouses as you say and I'm a soft natural. The key is to get one that is not so stiff and a little big. I then tend to tie then together at the front and that sort of emphasizes my slight waist emphasis. Tucked in is just too much for me. But then you can pair them even with tight pants or skirts, or flowy pants and skirts. I noticed the real area my body tends to show the natural is in the arms and shoulders, so I notice that if I go baggy there and accommodate there, I'm good to go. Then I can balance it with tighter stuff on the bottom and then I don't look like i"m wearing a bag.

    I love your content and am eager to see more videos for more yin types like Soft Classic or Romantic. I feel like the fashion industry has been so geared towards yang types in general, and natural types in particular, these past couple of decades, that it's harder for those of us who lean more yin and have narrow shoulders and frames to style clothes.

    just curious if any other soft naturals have experienced this: I think midi length looks awful on soft naturals. On me I'm 5'5" but i have short legs and longer torso, so midi length stuff looks wrong like i chose a maxi skirt thats too short for me. Mini looks best (because on me nothing is too short) I can pull off maxi lengths, especially if im thinner, but not as well as short lenghts. I also cant wear rompers cuz of how long my torso is and the heavier i am the worse they look cuz i have no waist!

    Hi Rita. Thank you so much for this video. I really discovered I was not a gamine when I tried to wear a button down white shirt and I just did not feel right in it. I definitely do much better with gentle loser fabrics. I’m almost convinced I may be a soft natural.

    Cool outfits, I feel like I could be soft natural but oversized jumpers, sweaters look too matronly on me, I am really shapely so I need a waist definition else I look frumpy 3x my size.

    loved the suggestions, i was looking for a more modern approach for SNs, all the "natural, boho, earthy" vibes are so terrible, it may look good on my body frame but it doesnt fit my personal style at all! and other than that, i have my personal color pallet, im a true winter, how am i supposed to use all those mid tones when i have mid to high contrast? hahaha Im glad i found your channel!

    I am a 5’ 2” SN and I only look good when my waist is just barely emphasized but the most important is that it looks fit to my upper frame. I do not look good in high waisted pants or those belts, the more elongated my mid section looks the better, breaking mid line is an absolute NO-NO.

  • @TalkWithJoce
    @TalkWithJoce 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yay, thank you! Only thing is I thought Soft Naturals aren't generally recommended to do such chunky shoes, earrings, glasses as some of these examples. Instead more delicate yin to accessories. Have heard bit of mixed messages on that. But maybe that was Rita just purposely playing with yin and yang balance...like she said, each person finding their own yin yang balance. For me, really chunky shoes (despite how cute combat boots are) and structured, boxy jackets and extremely big sleeves all start feeling like too much on me...maybe the word is too "yang," and sometimes too dramatic. But also very structured or boxy can for me feel too classic or gamine (which interestingly are I think considered more yin than Soft Natural). I thought also Soft Naturals are generally recommended medium to big prints, not tiny. But that may be Rita purposely playing with bringing in more yin. The look of very tiny floral print, flowy skirt with very chunky boots is interesting cause it's I guess very yin skirt meets very yang boots.
    ANYWAY, having fun learning and exploring here. I guess the main point is keep finding what feels good and true for the individual! Where I'm at currently is leaning towards Soft Natural + some ethereal/angelic essence. And some romantic essence in there. And color palette the cooler end of Soft Autumn and warmer end of Soft Summer.

    Hello Rita,
    I just found your channel an watched some of your videos. I love your input, and seeing you shine through your new style. I think you seem very lively :-)
    I have a question. Could you help me type myself, if I showed you some fotos of mine? I don't want to ask for to much. I'm really struggeling to find clothes that suit me. I might be a SN, said the Kibbe Test.

    Loved the video! I feel like I’m still confused with SN and SC? What are the main differences, because I feel like all of these suggestions are great for SC too, or maybe I’m very wrong 😂

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      A lot of these outfits can work for SC but the fit considerations would be different and I would go for more yin/subdued accessories. The main thing is that the SN has the blunt yang, meaning she can wear things that are less constructed and a bit "shapeless", and it's her frame that gives the garments shape and structure. SC doesn't have the same yang

    Oh my gosh these are so fun I love them!!! 💕 And you know I love a crop top 😂 I’m actually in a cropped Teddy right now. The midi skirt was also interesting bc I tried that this year for the first time in a long time and I did feel very cool and very 90s 👀 I also love me an undone (more open button up). But thanks for this ✨ it was awesome!

    Loved watching this! I dressed this way in my early 20s/college, but I’ve grown out of it (literally I think) I feel much more “me” in FN lines, when before I felt too “youthful, casual, trendy” lol, but also just too yin. Your explanation really helps me not only understand SN lines more, but helps me feel in further to my FN type. Sorry for the word vomit ☺️

    I'm SN and I've gained some weight since the pandemic which got me struggling with clothes.
    Before pandemic I would just put on anything big with waist emphasis and it would look great and effortless, but now bcz of the weight gained in my arms, thighs and belly I feel like everything looks bad.
    I can't emphasis anything and since I have a round face I look like nothing but a straight rectangular box

      She is Soft Natural and is still Soft Natural due to her combination of width and curve, that can’t be changed with plastic surgery. She is not a Romantic as she has width present in her shoulders and upper back, the whole Kardashian curvy-athletic thing is a clear Natural trait.
