I love the fact that we saw him during his mental struggle when he was figuring out who was going to be his main at the beginning of sf6 because of how hard he goes into ONE character
the discussion in the middle made me appreciate that I must have some kinda knack for learning characters and swapping around quickly. Got everyone into Plat on release, last week or so been going back through getting all characters into Diamond. 2 masters and just 2 Plats left to grind up. Feel like i'm the ultimate master of platinum right now lol played through plat 20 times in a row
Its awesome playing multiple characters. I am the same way as far as learning quickly, except I think they changed the placement criteria or something because most of the characters I’m playing are placing in Diamond. But my first three characters placed in Plat (JP), Silver (Cammy), and Gold (Chun) so they had a long climb. I placed in Diamond with Aki, Juri, Ken, Luke, Ryu, and Lily and my Chun climbed to Diamond. Still got Jamie, Cammy, JP, and Deejay in Plat and my Marisa is my weakest in Gold. I’m not sure if I can do the other 8 characters lol. BJJ
@@Evilj82 I think because I answered honestly when the game asks you your SF5 rank in the very beginning, it weights your placement. Didn't ever get into SF5 much so I was only Plat rank, so most of my placements in the beginning were from high gold to plat. As it went on I was getting placed higher though, was a few that went straight into diamond.
You just have to be really quick with the input, I press my second cr. LP when I'm pressing down-back (1) and then input the second qcb, you can shortcut and press down and then back (2,4) and a full qcb afterwards, no clue if you can do cr. LP into qcf HP after and a super after that
@@squidee he is talking about the trial, which requires you to link a light into lv 2 (you can't cancel normal specials into lv 2 so you either have to do the hard way or do as @anface said, you can pre poison before starting the combo and use heavy whip to launch into lv2)
Something about sf6 i feel like i get in mt head too much with neutral and combo timing (i also work at court now so maybe i just have to accept muscle memory is weird and isnt static after undergrad) But! I have been enjoying myself with AKIs trials, as someone who played a bunch of arcsys games too it felt kinda familiar
If you understand the game mechanics, there’s a lot of carry over in terms of learning new characters. Juri, Cammy, Ryu, Ken, Luke are similar to me except Juri is Drive Rush Centric and Cammy doesn’t have a fireball. JP and Lily are unique, Chun takes some time to practice execution. I picked up Aki in about 20 minutes and placed in Diamond after an hour of training mode and casual games.
14:50 sometimes yeah 16:03 heard that in sfv yeah 16:12 right 20:08 lol i do that sometimes too 20:21 yeah 24:13 that is 25:21 lmao 25:58 live and learn in the back ayo? Oh nvm 26:16 lol and cuz of rog bad matchup 27:38 yeah 31:24 . Huh 33:13 yeah 38:27 yes it is 42:54 lmao 43:58 oh yeah i hate this one lol. No safejump capability 46:14 lmfao 46:55 lol ig. Funny reflection LMAO 47:54 just like me 48:53 it Is cool. 236MP on poison is cool as hell
I know the title was for clickbait purposes but It is cute to see people saying those trials are somewhat complex. Im not even talking about SF4 1 link frames. A lot of games like Blazblue or KoF have real finger breaking combos.
It isn't hard, actually the exact opposite. It's just a bunch of repeat, cancel, repeat. I play in a pad and finished the trial during rental period. Just because it's long it isn't hard.
Who gives a shit. Combos in SF4 were as hard as they were impractical anyway, so SF6 is fine as it is. Some characters like Chun and Rashid should have trickier combos but not every character should require a Ph.D to play
@@Dontclickmychannellll I loved it, I’m an 09’er, but some of the combos for most characters were pointless because SF4 scaling into ultras are so bad I was a Viper main too

Thanks for also displaying your inputs. Really helps a newbie like me
Dawg it's a combo trial 😭
You can look at the playback videos to see some input guides as well.

Love the learning process
29:30 Any advice on how to link cr. LP into super? Even when using two light punches I end up just throwing out her fireball.
if you poison beforehand you can do upwhip instead of super which launches and gives time to input super after
You don't. It's possible but not viable. Go light > special > super

Please dont switch to AKI or any other character. I've gone from Gold to on the verge of Diamond wioth JP in a few weeks after watching your videos.

SF n is honest and fair. SF n+1 is for little baby scrubs. I’ll see you saying the same when SF7 comes out
