    Good video, Balantas probably relied on their bow and arrow first using the saber for close quarter combat.

    I’m glad that you mentioned the bottom of the scabbard. My people (Mende/Vai) carry similar blades, and as you know, the style of sheathe had a characteristic leaf-shape flare towards the tip of the blade.

    Paternal lineage?? But African DNA is matrilineal, so there's no such thing as paternal lineage.
