There was a guy in the comment section of the last deck to feature Light and Darkness Dragon and he said he ran Samsara and LADD in Dragon Link so that he could bring him out. When I first read that comment I thought it was a bit cope but I find it hilarious that that idea came back here.
I have a 40 card version of the concept with the garoth as mentioned. The Chaos Creator isn't gamba, you don't mind if you mill it, and you can literally mill your whole deck on turn 1 and set up shufflers to make a 4 card deck with it to draw with saryuja for another omega loop.
My first iteration of the deck was 40 with garoth. I soon found out that if you really want to run xyz Minerva and garoth 40 is gonna be a bit low and you will run the risk of milling yourself to death. I now play around 48 50 cards and I think here lies then sweet spot somewhere.
@weedhigh2564 I intentionally designed the deck to be able to mill itself out. I haven't ever decked out. You can get rid of garoth when you are close to decking. Sometimes you have to do a lot of math on the fly to know when to off him
@@darrelfeltner3139 yeah I was going for the same thing, I just didnt like it much as sometimes I ran out of resources way too fast like that so I upped the card count (added the horus engine) and now it feels good to me. I dont claim this to be the perfect way of building the deck, its just how I get the best results in testing, other people have their own ways of achieving that
After only a few days testing I am confident that Lightsworn Yubel Fiendsmith is going to be a tier 1deck the Fiendsmith Yubel engine gives it easy access to more interruptions and allows them to negate Nibiru allowing them to spam the field with their only fear being board breakers. You can even fit 15 hand traps or board breakers into the deck without going over 50 cards. It can set up as many as 8 negates without hand traps or board breakers.
This list was definetley a Lightsworn list of all time. Like some tech choices were based and funny, but the fact that he played a bunch of engines for no reason while also not playing any going 2nd cards is crazy to me. Especially Allure, like why is that in here? And the one of triple tac for no reason was the icing on the cake. He said that it did alot for him, but lets be real he just says this to have something to defend the choice of playing it as a random card in his deck.
Allure isn't that bad. The absolute highroll is allure banish thunder dragon roar, but in 60 cards that's happening one every 10 games. But with chaos creator and bystial dispater, banishing a card from hand is not nearly that punishing and allure just lets you dig through your deck a bit.

When I play these mill pile decks in master duel, I pretty much always cut all non engine despite max c existing since they screw up my mills and if my hands aren't all gas going second and even first sometimes, I can't win.
More proof that sacky playstyles that do a bunch off anything are just better than having a consistent play line. That said running 3 Wulf sounds terrifying with how often you need an unbricking tool for opening it, but thankfully the new support is full of those.

i played a runic lightsworn version with 43 cards, with bystials and 2 buster blader cards to look them with the dragon + fusion. But after some testing i cut all the lightsworn cards 😥
I feel like Lightsworn Fiendsmith Yubel will be what breaks Lightsworn because all you have to do to bring out Phantom of Yubel is shuffle a Yubel monster and a fiend 0/0 from grave back to deck. The Fiendsmith package wouldn't even be much of a commitment because it can be as small as 3 The Fiendsmith and 1 Sanctus. However most people will want 2 or 3 Sanctus especially in a deck like Lightsworn or in a deck like Magical Musleteers that desperately needs extenders.
Post Infinite Forbidden Lightsworn can end on as much as a 8 negation board. Phantom of Yubel and the Fiendsmith engine for Caesar is nice. You can remove the Yubel package though and fit up to 12 non-engine in it and have a 40 card deck I recommend side decking most of your non-engine though because even though you are likely go see your non-engine its still not the kind of deck that wants non-engine. Something interesting I realized I could do is you can special summon Dragonling and revive a 2nd Dragonling to make Seals.
lightsworn is a toolbox. so you can pair it up with many other things, like chaos, thunderdragon, malicious, shadolls, horus, tears, bystials... but i am not sure if you really wanna pair it up with runick. runicks are more control, slow and value oriented. Lightsworn is more like wombo combo, full gas. if Curious would be legal, you could play like a really full gas trapsworn with rollback :D but since it is so monsterheavy, it is better paired with stuff they can make usage out of all that milled monsters. so bystials are pretty much a must include to lightsworn. the list is missing a space tho. even it is at once, a deck with lubellion, creator, levianier and the two small dragons it is actually an auto include. or am i missing something... 🤔
Runick can work in certain decks even ones that can go faster. Ive seen it be really good paired with generaider despite how many contradictions those decks have to eachother.
I net decked Josh's Runick Lightsworn deck profile from a few weeks ago. If you are playing Runick as a slow, grindy, control deck you are playing it wrong. The purpose of Runick is to have 5 to 7 Instant Fusions in the deck. Especially to loop Geri multiple times. I had a game where I hand ripped my opponent for 2, and had 8 cards in hand at the end of my turn, he just scooped.
She's there just to mill more cards. Compared to other main deck tear, she alone can easily get 4 cards to gy compared to others (1 from hand, 3 from deck)
No King Back Jack with Sylvan Alsei enemy turn quick effect omnitarget return to deck tech, not on my level of Lightsworn gameage, but maybe he'll get there one day.

The XYZ Minerva aint for the draws its for the mills. Really they should just errata the card to where it says "Detach 1 material, mill 3 cards" lmao. I've used it in my 60 card piles and the times I've gotten GAS shaddoll/Lightsworn/Thunder mills has been so good. I play a 60 card blind going second fun build with Shaddolls (my second favorite archetype, next to T. Dragon) and its sole purpose is to OTK. Honestly the only thing this guy is sleeping on is T. Dragon Titan, card is INSANE when you non target pop a card.
I played against this a few times on DB. It’s annoying! It does pretty much the same thing tearlament did where if it’s allowed to get off the ground through mills it drowns you in advantage with card activations from the GY. The only difference being this deck is forced to run a ton of brick if it wants there to be any payoffs so it’s more of a gambling deck than tear was.
So how is anyone supposed to get punishment dragon I’ve looked everywhere online troll and toad Amazon neither seems to sell it so how am I supposed to get it.
I see that he wasn't playing the fusion and in my opinion thats a mistake be not only does it allow you to banish your opponents cards it gives you 2 chances to banish problematic cards from your opponents grave. Its to good to pass up on a card that gives you 2 chances to banish any attribute and not just light or dark monsters. By doing this you turn your deck into a strong anti-graveyard deck. Most meta decks have grave effects you could be slowing them down or annihilating them. Thats just taking whats arguably strongest about them and throwing it away. Its probably meta lv. already but only if your willing to be that toxic that you'd kick grave decks between the legs to win.
There is literally 16-20 cards that never needed to be in that deck and I get Horus can be a fantastic engine but you can mill both copies of Sarcophagus and never see the value of the Horus engine. Bystials can be good without Regained Horus doesn't function without Sarcophagus. If I was to use the Horus engine I would use it in a deck like Centurion or in a if I had to play a 60 card deck I would choose one that can't mill with the exception of specific milling.

I made with 40, destrudo saves. Just care with decking out, milling below 5 is dangerous. It has a big explosive turn 1 sometimes

I tested this version so often. Every fourth starthand is a brick. Other starthands dies against 1 handtrap. Shifter is an instand kill vor the deck.
