    I just picked up the Benjamin Trail NP MkIl. Similar design but the grip is huge. I still love it. The one-and-done Pump Action is a blessing after shooting a Crosman American Classic multi Pump for years. It also needed all trigger parts lubed. Helped tremendously.

    I love this gun. I'm going to go get another. I'm going to try all kinds of different pellets. I wonder if that barrel could be made into a .22 or .25 shot? The trigger needs a larger screw turn down to make the long trigger pull back to a reasonable placement. Good video you have here but I had to speed it up a bit to get through it. Perhaps I'll put a metal trigger on. It's built well and I have a laser pointer on that I have to hone in. This is a powerful gun and I saw one video where the guy had his firing one shot at 637!! Dieseling might ruin you gun, maybe just your barrel, even if done right, but it will give even more bang, power, and increased FPS on top that! High-powered accurate gun that's fun to shoot.

    I just got this pistol and I must say sir, that was outstanding shooting freehand like that! I’m having trouble getting it to group. It’s probably a combination of me and my limited pellet choices. Just wanted to say nice shooting and good day.

      First thing to do is clean the barrel as all new airguns have protective coating on the rifled barrel. The Trevox is a gas ram so much like a springer requires a consistent grip, not too hard, allow the airgun to move under its own recoil. Finally use a quality pellet. I use JSB Express which are 7.87 grain dome pellets, but any good quality dome should shoot pretty well. Good luck.

    Thanks for sharing the video I just ordered one it's coming in the mail shortly. My question to you is should.i do this ?and what kind of grease brand I use ? ,also do you think happened to get a fluke.gun that was not greased in manufacturing. ? Cause usually all airguns are supposed to greased befre they leave warehouse

    You can lighten the trigger down to two pounds by removing the spring on the trigger, not the one on the seer

    Solwares a fantastic shop too visit , good friendly staff , only bought some pellets upon my visit but they have a great choice of rifles , pistols and accessories ... One minor annoyance is the bog .. you have too " squeeze " down the testing range too the toilet , probably be easier if I weren't so fat .. nonetheless it was well worth the visit ... Not a bad pistol you have there btw .. makes a tidy " crack " thought

      It's rated at I think 540 or something like that. Mine feels much more powerful. I say a video where he got his up to 637. Then you can also diesel your pellet and it depends on the pellet using also.

  • @MrJoeygregory

    Why is there smoke coming out of the part where you put the Peloton and the barrel after I fired at the first 10 times it's still smoking is that normal it's a very light smoke but it's still smoke and it smells burnt both my Gamo break barrel and my pistol like this one here both make that smell and have smoke

    • @reevessairgunningreviews5572
      @reevessairgunningreviews5572  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The smoke is caused by oil being burnt off, called dieselling. You could try cleaning the barrel with a dry pull though, to remove any excess lubrication. I wouldn't have thought you would get too much dieselling from a Gas Ram, unlike spring power units. My HW45 seems to diesel regularly, but that maybe Weihrauch overdoing the grease of the spring piston. The power will be higher until the dieselling stops, but never put oil in to create dieselling, this could lead to a failure, and serious injury.

    Nicely made video, Bloke! I'll be ordering one in a couple of weeks and plan on modifying it. Especially regarding the trigger, reducing barrel wobble, if necessary and perhaps even stretching the spring a little? I can currently buy that pistol for $40 (US) from Ebay, so it's something one can experiment with regarding any modifications. And I agree with another commenter. That was awesome "off-hand" shooting.

    • @reevessairgunningreviews5572
      @reevessairgunningreviews5572  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mechanically it's the same pistol, with the only difference the calibre (the Trevox is .177 only) and the stock. They both shoot nicely for a cheap gas ram, so it depends if you want .22 Cal. I my try to fit the Trevox stock on the Air Force as it is much more comfortable, for me anyway. May well make a better stock for the Air Force one in the future. They are not true target pistols but they are both fairly accurate, and above all fun.

      @@reevessairgunningreviews5572 Thanks for the reply. I'm just after something to ping about with in the back garden through these boring days. I need something that won't massively disturb the neighbours, so a quieter gas-ram is looking like the shot. If they're the same gun, I'll definitely go for the Tornado .177 as I prefer the wood... My other option is the Benjamin Trail NP mk II, but I don't fancy having a bulky cocking aid hanging off the end!

    • @reevessairgunningreviews5572
      @reevessairgunningreviews5572  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Gas Pistons or Nitro piston (one of many names) basically replace the spring piston with a gas filled piston. I have a few pistols with gas pistons and I think they do shoot with a smoother recoil. They are still a bit hold sensitive like spring powered airguns, but I find them easier to shoot.

    Wow really impressed with this pistol, looks very similar to the hatsan supercharger but the hatsan is spring powered.also its cheaper than the crosman np pistol great accuracy, good power, looks good, build quality seems rugged but stylish.reminds me of the bsa scorpion pistol,i had one years ago and that was one of the best pistols i ever had i like it thanks for sharing,atb Dave

    • @topshot2787

      I have the hatsan supercharger and is a belter of a pistol. You get alot of gun for your money and wouldnt sell mine at all. Auto safety, threaded barrel for silencer or screw on cocking aid, fibre optic sights, 11mm dovetails, recoil reduction system that slides back the action to dampen recoil. It is very accurate also. I have had mine in. 177 for 5years I initially wasnt that impressed as it was only puttin out 4.2ftlbs out the box and i was ready to sell it, but as i went on it gained power and settled down. I can highly recommend one and i prefer shooting the supercharger more than shooting my webley alecto, it just seems to be more appealing in an old school nostalgia kind of way. I found it really enjoys rws superpoint and rws hypermax the most and is putting out 5.8ftlbs on the chrony which in uk is tip-top,but outside of uk they are capable of more. If its penetration you want go to the prometheus excite as they will shoot through anything you need them to. All the best from lancashire.

    • @topshot2787

      @Backyard Airgunner Really? Thats unfortunate. I take it you have tryed lubing up the internals. I drop a bit of crosman pellgun oil every now and again that i use on my webley alecto and crosman 1322 to keep the seals lubed up, if iam not using it for a little while. All the best from lancashire uk.

      @@topshot2787 should I go for the hatsan or the umarex Trevox?

    • @topshot2787
      @topshot2787 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@T888TYL i would definitely go for the Hatsan Supercharger in. 177. We have the maximum of 6ftlbs in UK. So 177 is my choice. Better accuracy as its flatter trajectory is more forgiving and it travels down range faster. I have had mine 6 years and still love it. I shoot it more than my Webley Alecto. Hatsan at around 5.5ftlbs depending on ammo is more powerful than the Trevox which is around 4.1/4.4ftlbs. The Hatsan, has an autosafety, threaded barrel for silencer /moderator and fully adjustle front and rear sights, tru-glo fibre optic sights, quattro trigger and recoil reduction system. I find that so far BSA Storm, RWS Superpoint, RWS Hypermax, H&N Excite work well for power, speed and accuracy. You do get alot for your money from the Supercharger. Only downside is it is rather large and heavy which you will feel on those extended unrested shooting sessions. All the best from lancashire uk.

      @@trebor4460 See if they have a replacement. Mine was doing just over 5 Ft/Lb. Should be around that with the JSB Express 7.87 grain pellet. Because it's a gas ram you will probably get less, with heavier pellets, as gas ram act more like a Springer. Ask them to test a replacement first, if you can get one.

    You're a brave man loading the pistol with the barrel just hanging down, I've seen the tiny sear that holds the piston back, I wouldn't risk it. It's basically the same as the Air Force One but not as ugly. The Air Force One is one of the worst pistols I've ever had, and I've been shooting from the late 50s. Long creepy trigger pull and hard firing cycle being the worst about it, if you're left handed your hand puts the gun on safe as you grip to fire, very annoying. Oh and it's as ugly as sin. My old BSA 240 Magnum is pretty smooth by comparison. Save some more cash and get a better gun would be my advice.

    • @reevessairgunningreviews5572
      @reevessairgunningreviews5572  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The working parts of the Air Force One and Trevox do appear almost identical. The Trevox is .177 Cal only, so I got the A.F.O in .22 Cal. Mine shoots pretty well, though I don't like the stock, way too bulky. I may try the Trevox stock on the A.F.O, and if it fits, try to get another, or make my own stock. I know you can't see it in the video but I do change hands when loading the pellet, using my trigger hand to hold the barrel. Been doing it for a long time, so very fluid. Like I said in the video, you should never trust safety devices, they can fail. I do have a Weihrauch HW70 in .177 Cal and the HW45 Silver Star in .22 Cal, which are both quality springers. Stay safe.

    • @walterhartman3275
      @walterhartman3275 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nah, it's solid. You should try it. You should also try not speaking to things you know little to nothing about? It's not the same. Not at all. I think it looks great and it feels great in the hand to hold and fires nicely with a little tune up of the trigger with a slightly bigger screw replacement.
