Thanks for posting this. There are really so few videos on the accent, I suppose it just isn't very popular. However, the car has been great - wife just got to 105k and its time to change the plugs. It is interesting on the 2012 accent, in North America it came with the GDI engine for the redesign - in Canada it came with an anti-theft chip key, in the US it did not come with a chip key. Other release of the 2012 accent in asia and europe with the "new" at the time body style didn't come with the GDI engine - which is why some videos for a 2012 accent are not the correct GDI engine. We bought our accent new at the time, 16k GLS - affordable and good gas mileage during a down economy made in South Korea and not in the North America plant. We plan on running this car into the ground, its been great so far.

It was a cold day---and having only watched a vid before yours that wasn't as detailed, I broke probably all the connecter tabs. Can tiny zip ties keep them secure? OR are connectors replaceable without cutting wires?

Why did you decide to not use anti seize on the plugs? Was this plug change because the customer was experiencing a misfire or poor operation or just preventative maintenance?
I am asking because my daughter just purchased a used Soul and I will be doing the maintenance on it and want to do it correctly.

Change them every 50k miles of car feels like it’s accelerating when turning on or not even turning on then probably needs new ones

@@krisomarcrispin1035 I will help you as I never got my answer. I bought this on Amazon and it worked without a problem: GearWrench 80546 5/8-Inch x 6-Inch Swivel Spark Plug Socket.Torque according to NGK is 10.8 to 14.5 lb. ft.
if the engine is hot, when the car goes about 6km to the garage. torque is how many ft.lb?
Wondering at what mileage should one first replace the plugs?
nemrac fiftyto manufacturer recommends 60,000 mines currently at 70k and I definitely feel it needs a change

I broke one on my kawasaki versys. That was probably 6 years ago, and its still going strong. I used a tie wrap to cinch the harness together like you suggested

I am in the process of taking it apart but have not found a replacement part yet..
You have to discount the wiring and open the plastic wiring case that runs to all the coils. carefully remove all the coil wiring.
