- Hey Anglers! This episode: Most Difficult Brown Trout Fishing Spot Off Grid (Part 1) is part one of a two part series.
Come along as I head back to South Island for two weeks for the most epic brown trout fishing adventure! Its in a super remote location where you have to trek a bit to get to these beautiful brown trout fish. They can be super tough to catch due to the location but if you’re up for a challenge its so worth it!
Brown trout is a great fish for those who want to improve their fishing game and novices who want to learn basic skills. If you would like to share your experiences of catching this amazing fish, comment below.

Enjoy watching these clips and the amazing rivers you access, pristine water in awesome, remote back country locations. There was a comment made by yourself in one I watched recently where you indicated that the dropping of nylon ends when changing flies was something you intended to reduce as time goes on. Not a easy task!
How is that going as some rivers I fish, where ever I park, there is nylon everywhere. Something many of us could work a little harder at reducing the impact we have on our environment.

That first fish you held up was a typical magazine cover fish for me when I was growing up. Those images kept me going and dreaming of nz. Dreams came true. This video brought back being memories of being eaten alive on the caples. Just a great video. Everything you talk about on river approach is so true. The zero factor is very real lol

It was a serious big boy pants river for sure mate and easily the toughest place I’ve fished to date! Things got tougher as the trip went on. Last part on Thursday 🤙🤙

Hi Alex, great shots of some of the best fishing I have seen you do. Beautiful fish in great surroundings. Fishing alone makes you be more careful as its often easier down than up. West Coast? You are never alone with NZ’s sand flies, tie them on an extra large 2XX hook for some great hookups. Harera
