I live in this beautiful cabin (the Smokey Mountain cabin) built by Hilltop. It was delivered 3 weeks ago and I've been living here now for 2 weeks and all I can say is "It is perfect!" The porch is Much bigger than it looks and I practically live out there because my site is so beautiful. There is plenty of room out there for a 6 seated dining set on one side and a couch or other seating arrangement on the other side. I absolutely love it out there. Then...the inside. In mine, there are no stairs to the loft...we wanted to have that extra space available so there is just a ladder to the very spacious loft which has tons of windows and my 17 year old grandson wants to move in up there! (not happening...) Its a Very large space and if I were his age, I'd want to live up there too. It's plenty of space for visiting grandchildren and safe too. They can't fall out even if they are little.. Down below the loft is the lovely cabin. Windows Everywhere!! We changed the cabinets to open shelves in the kitchen and had them leave the far left top drawer space empty, and that is where my microwave is. It is a beautifully designed kitchen and we used the space between it and the washer/dryer for pantry shelves. It is Plenty of space...more than plenty actually. I worried how all of my kitchen stuff would fit but surprisingly, not only did it all fit, I have one huge drawer left empty! I have a large sectional in the living room area and haven't yet decided what else I will do in that living/dining space. All I know is its a Lot of space. My daughter built me a computer/desk nook in a corner of the room, right next to a window. Lovely. The bathroom is perfect for me. And the shower is AWESOME! I love looking out the window in there. The bedroom is small but I dont need more than a bed and a nightstand so I dont care. Closet is plenty big enough for all my clothes AND to store my stick vacuum and swiffer. I was utterly blown away when I first laid eyes on it. It's everything I could have wanted. I just thought some people might like to hear from someone who actually is living in it to get a better feel from an "owner".
Were you able to establish this as as a primary residence/real property? I’m really interested in this cabin myself, but would like it to pass code as a primary residence on a foundation.
Eddie, I wish I could answer your question but I dont know since my daughter had it built for me and delivered onto her own property. I don't know if it "passes code" or not. I can't imagine that it wouldn't. I would think Hilltop could answer that for you. I know Hilltop has a delivery video where one of its cabins is placed on a foundation. Just make sure you always giving 110% every time you start producing, writing, mastering or just studying a craft of any kind. You can’t slack off, you have to know how to progress and keep taking that extra step with the one you were already taking.
I'm thinking that the space, underneath the loft stairs, would be a good dog hangout. Just need to have an opening in the door....or a window beside of the door. Cute tiny house. I like the rustic decor.
I was just dreaming of opening a tiny home/mobile park for single/divorced dads lol. Have food trucks and pancake breakfasts at the pavilion on the weekends when the kids come..maybe an icehouse on site to hangout
This home is so cute. It has all the things you'd need to be happy, a place to cook, to eat, sleep, clean up and to relax. Having hook ups for a stackable washer dryer is an extra. I love this tiny home thank you Chance for the tour.
This is a beautiful home. Especially for a single person living alone. The up stairs bedroom is great when grandkids stay the night. I love the cabinets, and the log house look.

Update: After 2 months in my cabin, there have been a few issues and perhaps the biggest is one you can see for yourself in the video at the beginning. Look at the porch door and how it opens OUTWARD. Then imagine yourself on the steps to enter. Yes, the door when it opens will force you BACK down the stairs in order to get around it and enter. This had to be totally re-done pretty early and in my case, we ended up building a deck and having the stairs to the side (which is how it should be....stairs to the side!). Another disappointment was the bathroom sink. Whatever it is made of, the finish has worn away in several large places leaving it looking mottled and cheap...within 2 months! The kitchen faucet when the water is turned on, for some reason affects the kitchen light above it which dims and brightens according to the water pressure. While the interior wood is truly beautiful, there are silly mistakes like the window sill in the bathroom was left rough and not sanded...so I sanded it myself so I could rest my elbow there sometimes. throughout the house there are these not-so-little unfinished places that you come upon and wonder why no one did a final inspection to find these anomalies. I've done a lot of sanding and there is more to be done. And lastly, my biggest concern...the house does not hold heat at all. If I turn on the mini-split heater and leave it on for a couple of hours, the house warms up nicely. But if I turn it off, the temperature inside drops quickly. As I will live year-round in my cabin, I am already worrying what the heating cost will be in what feels like an uninsulated structure. I still love the place and am very happy here. I am just surprised at the mistakes in design (the outside porch steps and door) and the interior issues.
if you are leaving for extended periods of time in the winter then you would simply just winterize it so that the pipes don't freeze, and you wouldn't need any heat, of course you could leave it set really low like 55 degrees just so that the entire structure isn't buckling to extreme winter weather (depending where you live???) But yea these things are not going to hold heat or a/c the second you turn off that mini-split its basically going to immediately start, because you have zero insulation. Like I said if you are leaving for a period of time just winterize it.

I love tiny homes, and could easily live in this, making the loft into an office/ reading nook! If you're not sure what to say, change your perspective. Those who love tiny homes aren't into it for a weekend, they're wondering how they can live in the space. Storage, space saving ideas, multi purpose areas/ features etc. I'll check out your other videos!

As someone that is downsizing this tiny house is perfect but I would make the porch part of the living space and have a wood stove a must in a house so rustic … love everything about it … cabinets doors are beautiful 😍 💜!!

We will be building a tiny home on our daughters' property once she finds it in Washington. I love Wa. and I would rather live there and my husband like Az. I fell on hard times and live in a storage shed at present (waiting for tiny studio apartment to be remodeled). I'm 60 in a few months and trying to start over. I'd absolutely LOVE living in a home like this.
The only complaint with this home and other tiny homes that are ment to be stationary, the vertical is tiny too. If the home is ment to be actively mobile, then it makes sense to be road height compliant. But if you plan on the house being immobile, give me a decent height for the second story. Sorry for the rant, I really like this home and it would be something I would like to live in
Judging from the hitch, it looks like this model is ment to be stationary unless you dive a heavily beefed up truck. Plus is the being it is being described as a park model.
You really need to put prices on these homes. PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY HATE WHEN YOU DONT AND THEY HAVE TO CALL. RIGHT AWAY THEY WILL PASS so have the owners / manufactures list prices other wise 75% of people will pass .
Oh dang, simple beautiful, that's the home I dream of, living with the toilet running out under the toilet, I'm 55 but you can bet, if I'm ever able to purchase a tiny home, that would be my heaven. This only has a 20 gallon water heater, learn how to get wet, lather, rinse or you’ll drain the water heater

I’m not a rustic person but this is cute. I love the “fairy door” under the stairs. The flooring is beautiful. I also like the copper sink in the bathroom.

Thank you so much for doing the tiny homes. We live in our fifth wheel, and I love it. We just bought a home in Az. We will be building a tiny home on our daughters' property once she finds it in Washington. I love Wa. and I would rather live there and my husband like Az. So we will be living in Az. during the winter and Wa. during those warmer months. A little cabin with a front porch is all I want. Perfect. Great job as usual Chance, thank again

As for tonight’s home the log cabin I do like it but what did I for me was the two tone wood trim on the inside, love the look, well I look forward to the next tour on Tuesday, so toodle pip old boy as we say in in England. Just visited this home to tour all thanks to Chances video. It presents exactly like it does in the video. So beautiful! They have other lovely homes too. This is the only one that can be delivered to Kentucky though
I do not normally like the “wooded cabin” look but this is just a perfect little home. If I wasn’t such a hoarder, I would live in one of these homes 😆

I fell on hard times and live in a storage shed at present (waiting for tiny studio apartment to be remodeled). I'm 60 in a few months and trying to start over. I'd absolutely LOVE living in a home like this.
The only complaint with this home and other tiny homes that are ment to be stationary, the vertical is tiny too. If the home is ment to be actively mobile, then it makes sense to be road height compliant. But if you plan on the house being immobile, give me a decent height for the second story. Sorry for the rant, I really like this home and it would be something I would like to live in

Judging from the hitch, it looks like this model is ment to be stationary unless you dive a heavily beefed up truck. Plus is the being it is being described as a park model.

I really like the cabin like wood thru out & on the outside. The wood is lighter colored which makes it not overpowering to look at. It's really nice!
You really need to put prices on these homes. PEOPLE ABSOLUTELY HATE WHEN YOU DONT AND THEY HAVE TO CALL. RIGHT AWAY THEY WILL PASS so have the owners / manufactures list prices other wise 75% of people will pass .

Oh dang, simple beautiful, that's the home I dream of, living with the toilet running out under the toilet, I'm 55 but you can bet, if I'm ever able to purchase a tiny home, that would be my heaven.
