It is a foldable grow light and is pre assembled and ready to hang. It is very well built and includes high quality LEDs, the LM301H by Samsung and the 660nm Reds by Osram.
The LED driver is remote with a long power cable with on board and daisy chain dimming as standard.
There are 6 LED bars unevenly spaced & with LEDs more dense at the end of each bar to ensure the most even spread of light possible.
The light is recommended for a 8" or 21cm hanging height and delivers an excellent 847 µmols average PAR across the grow area and consumes 298 wats at the wall. The efficiency test result is 2.3 usable PPF per watt which is excellent for a light with this price tag.
Overall an excellent light I am happy to recommend.

Viparspectra's layout of the diodes also seems to work great.
I gotta commend them for their efforts.

Just finished my first grow under this light and it came out amazing...very solid light and definitely recommend it if your looking for a light for a 3x3
Did you use it with a timer socket? Wasn't sure if the driver is compatible with being poweredon/off from upstream whilst running.
@@stancooper5436 I used one of those hubspace devices....it connects to my internet and I can set my on and off times through the app...I'm actually using it now to control my outside Christmas lights to come on and off.

I agree Shane at 369 it’s a game upper from viper. I’m looking forward to the new Samsung lm301 h evo. The lm301h is a higher bin than the b. But the same die. The evo I have only read about .looking forward to delivery of that unit.when it’s put in play.

any update? i currently use 315 cmh in my 3x3 tent and was wondering if this light is really that much better then cmh?
@@getbrainseeds I have both. I used the Viparspectra during the heat of summer. Too hot for the CMH. It worked well but I like my CMH a lot.
This grow I'm starting them under the VS and when they start to bud I'll switch to the CMH. I grow autoflowers for infusing therapeutic oils.
@@tedshred8932 yeah i love the way the uv light in the cmh makes the flowers but thats why i was asking because cmh too hot for me in summer... i think during spring i'll have to get this led and do what you are doing use led during hot months...thanks
you got me to buy this light for my 3x3 but i like how honest you are so i am using your code to get a UV light from migro as a way of saying thanks, you always do the best light vids
i cant find the hanging height for the migro 310 uvb light, but i am sure it will come with the light recommendations

can you stand on it`? I know you can stand on the Maxsisun MG3000. Its important to know if you can use it as a ladder in an emergency.

If you were to oversize the tent to a 4x4 ft what percentage do you roughy expect the outer readings to drop by with the reflective walls being further away?

I Have a question: Im planning to build my own LED Grow light (DIY) I wanna use Led stripes with LM301B Diodes. i will put it on a aluminium costruction ( 50cm x 50cm )
50cm is also the lenght of the LED stripe. would those 5 stripes be enough for lets say 4 healthy plants? sorry for my bad english :)

Thanks! I have been leaning heavily toward this light. I only wish the 5000 had no larger than 36 x 36 inch dimensions. The Mars FCE 4800 looks great but I don't know if the uva and ir leds would have negative effects if they died before the rest of the LEDs.
It's a good question. I am not sure about the longevity of the UVA LEDs.
Dobyou know if the added UV and IR on the mars fce lights are on separate circuits than the main leds?

What’s the best 150w light for growing a single plant, been looking at the spider farm/mars and viparspectra 1000 light and now senelux 1000
Viparspectra xs1500 is an amazing 150w light for a single plant in a 2x2 space, I flowered an autoflower in a 3x3 with it, but it was running at 21hr/day and a photo would have suffered a little.

@@harrynelson9203 yeah, full power. It's a beast of a light, just doesn't spread very far. I hung it just a little higher than recommended to decrease the hot spot and let it spread a little more

I got a decent yield with it, never weighed it dry, but it filled up 5 half gallon mason jars, but it was also really fluffy

ive been keeping corals for years and led have been out alot longer in that industry..a tank deeper than 30 inches you need to use something more powerful than a 1-2w led..you need a 250w metal hailde..how can a 2w led penetrate?canopy light levels is one thing .but whats its like a 4foot compared to a 600w hps.i bet its terrible and thats why we dont see par at that height..remember the raves over the 315cmh and they turned out to be crap.they were the same story.the canopy [par levels were good but below that were not worth having.but no reviewer pointed that out
