      @@nathanhale5455 LOL why so triggered? Make it 100%. I never said other bikes don't come with tools. I'll be the first to admit I've never owned Harleys. I am too time and money poor to run them. Of all the other bikes I owned or rode. Ducati, BMW, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc none of them give you THIS MANY tools. And these bikes are sport bikes that get ridden MUCH harder. Seriously why do you need to carry around full sets of allen keys, spanner wrench and ratchets? You gotta just wonder why 😂

    I crashed on the Brooklyn Bridge, on a 74 Honda CB750, this car and I both decided the other lane was better at the same time. Only damage was the glass in the speedometer, my mechanic replaced it the same day. I got some rash on my shoulder, flew through the air about 14 feet, people just drove around LOL. I never drove like the guy in the vid , glad he is ok.

    I once suffered the exact same fate in Downtown San Diego while riding my 1986 Honda CB750SC Nighthawk in city traffic. I got distracted for a fraction of a second before realizing that the pickup truck in front of me came to a sudden stop at a red light. I panicked and slammed on my front brakes causing the front wheel to slip from under me. I ended-up sliding along with the bike underneath the pickup truck I was avoiding to hit, which actually served me well. The pickup truck was high enough that neither the bike nor I came in contact with it. Luckily, I was going much slower then the guy in this video and I had my helmet and leather jacket on. The bike only sustained a broken turn signal light and I suffered a few scratches on my hand and a bruised ego. The driver of the car in front of me didn't even realize anything happened behind him.

      Been riding for 10 years, never had an accident. I thought those were for idiots. I have had a car in my name maybe 2 years in my life. I do and have always daily ride a motorcycle. Plus 500 mile trips on the weekends. However... I had 3 in the last year (only 1 was "serious" with a little road rash... not a scratch on the other 2) so the toll has been paid. The cop from the bad one (the only one cops/insurance involved) said he had been riding motorcycles his whole life, crashed going over 90mph. He said its not if but when. The ego takes the worst bruises. But I love riding and will never stop. The first I got hit by a truck, sideswiped coming from behind. The 2nd I went wide up in the twisties. The 3rd was a goofy nothing burger, not even going to describe. I feel bad for pushing it sometimes but damn sometimes there are riders on the road and you just know they wont keep it up forever... some riders do crazy dangerous playing in traffic. I prefer to get my jollies out in the obscure highways without traffic.

    Definitely a new rider on a new bike. If you pause at 2:34 and look at that foot peg and brake it looks like they're positioned to be used with higher bars. I would be really surprised if he was able to quickly and effectively move his foot up to the brake when the time came. There's a reason people building cafes and bobbers put rear sets on when running lower bars or clip-ons.

      An 883 doesn't come with forward foot controls. It's mid controls from the factory. Also, doesn't have a drag bar for the handlebars. So, it's put on after you buy it. He also had aftermarket exhaust,cuz it doesn't sound like that, and after market air filter. I think it's very uncomfortable to have forward controls and drag bars.

    • @rustyshackleford5509
      @rustyshackleford5509 ปีที่แล้ว

      the bike definitely needed mid-controls, a lot of motorcycle steering ability comes from using your hips to shift your weight side to side, but you can't do that with forward controls.
