It's scary when you've seen clones like Wolfe who are extremely competent as good guys become the villains, like the whole time I saw Cody and Wolfe I knew it wasn't going to be easy
The fact a clone commando isn't a part of a squad of clone commandos but holds the rank of lieutenant instead and commands rank and file infantry is honestly a discrepancy i struggle to ignore. They're nothing like their legends counterparts, and even ignoring that, it makes them seem pointless
there are several precedents for commando officers answering to higher ranking regs. for example, ponds dispatches 5 commandos (presumably from the 91st) to whatever mission windu wanted and we see hunter, a sergeant, answer to rex and cody. hilo probably used to lead a squad and platoon of commandos that answered to wolffe during the days of the republic. its pretty likely that hilo was one of the commandos responsible for training the TK troopers assigned to the wolfpack.
Remember that this is a Star Wars show - Star Wars has particularly struggled with consistency with IRL military regulations and protocol. On one hand, you could justify it by going, "Well, you're trying to apply modern day logic to a sci-fi/science-fantasy show", though there are plenty of mistakes that would make military personnel and enthusiasts sick to their stomachs, whether it's clones being allergic to cover throughout the saga, or NCOs and female Jedi being referred to as "sir" instead of "Corporal/Sergeant" (whichever is applicable) or "Ma'am" - Rex does the latter exactly _once_, though Ahsoka isn't a Jedi by that point. I think Hilo's a clone commando instead of just a reg specifically because every clone sans Wolffe has had his armor stripped of its markings, and thus having one clone commando there that serves as Wolffe's second in command makes him stand out more. Now why they couldn't have made him an ARC trooper instead, with the same Phase II accessories and get-up as Fives and Jesse (thereby making him look like a standard reg, but a visually distinct one), I will never know.
Hilo it has to be my favorite clone commando because he is more chill than any other even working in the empire
Hilo always stood out to me. Not just being a Clone Commando, but he respects Wolffe and overall doesn’t feel like story device for action scenes.
It’s a good thing this Clone Commando isn’t like a big grunt to fight.
1:25 Wolffe pulls out a non existent pistol

Floating clone helmet
I love how this is a Hilo scenes video, and it even included parts where only the top of his helmet was visible. You couldn’t even see his visor XD
The second clone commando (that looks like that) to have conflicts over the Empire after confronting Rex.
let's hope we see more of him perhaps joining wolffe and the other rogue clones!! thanks so mcuh for this video!
See, making an interesting new clone commando isn't that hard. Then why didn't they do the same with Scorch?

I knew from Rebels Wolffe will defect and Hilo will defect too but he will die since Hilo wasn't in Rebels
3:39 Floating clone helmet
(or maybe he survive an attack from ventress)
Hey Cardo will you do all scenes for the clone commander on Kamino? The one that wears gray?

Captain Climber is a good example of a Legends character with a higher rank and yet he was only in charge of a squad.
