After watching a reality tv show of female firefighters i realised that it may be for me.. like you i love fitness and don’t like the idea of being stuck behind the desk all day. The thrill of it is very interesting to me too - the fact that work days will be different is alluring too. After i finish my final exams for uni, i’ll apply for LFB for sure! The only thing that makes me hesitate is the night shifts, that was something i’ve always said i’ll never do because i can’t imagine giving up sleep for a job.. but I still got time to look into it! Our experiences have been very similar! I was wanting a career change and sat in my room, mapping my qualities, this job role popped into my head. I was hesitant at first, thinking I might be too old to apply (just turned 30), but I might as well give it a shot. Hey Cam, great video. I have always had a strong desire to join a service, especially the fire brigade. especially after my time through advanced education What were your personal main motivations for becoming a firefighter? why did it stand out as a role that you felt you would be suited for ?

How about English and Maths test???? there's no video about it! There's not much information available about it! The links they provide for practice are very general which dosent help at all!
I did my situational test and behavioral and didn't pass, but i thought i answered everything well. Could it be that i made some errors or it due to lots of applicants i didn't pass?
Is there any update to this or is everything you are saying all UpToDate today also atm i,m 26 and i feel like I've waited to long not to sure just on my mind.
Hi , I unfortunately didn’t meet the standards on the calculation/English tests. You said I have to wait 12 months to reapply , is that from when I failed or or 12 months from when I first applied to be a firefighter ?
They will have 1000 applicants for 10 spots and still find a reason to not fill all 10 spots. These idiots still use polygraph tests, the whole things a joke. My advice, do something else… plenty of jobs pay more for less bs.
