Was wondering if you could give me some feedback. recently applied for the Kent fire service, follow the process and steps as best as I could. got through to stage 2 and just had an email saying I was unsuccessful which has put me down a little bit. what would you advice be if I was to apply again ?
Hi, stay positive. I appreciate it's tough but this is normal. Have you asked for feedback? If not, ask them. They may not reply, but it is worth asking. Which part did you fail on?
@@CareerVidz Not yet only got the email this afternoon so will ask for feedback. Firefighter situational and verbal reasoning assessment.
Is this for UK?
Hi mate currently applying for fire service, I'm currently an army reservist so alot of my answers are based around my experience with them especially where team work is concerned. Also done some fire fighting training as part of my trade training in the reserves reckon that'll hold me in good stead?
Great stuff! Yes, I reckon it will stand you in good stead! Good luck!
Hi Richard, is there an upper age limit to joining/having your application accepted?
Hi Patrick, I don't believe there is an upper age limit, no. People do join in their 40s and 50s still from what I understand. I hope this helps. If you need any help with applying, I recommend getting my guide here:

Good luck!

Yes :) I will be making more firefighter videos in January as I am getting lots of requests. Please would you SUBSCRIBE to my channel? I'd very much appreciate your support. Thank you! Richard 🙏
@@CareerVidz thanks mate, another question it says I don’t need qualifications but says you’ll sit a test similar to maths and English how does the test look like?
I am in ghana. How do I apply as a foreigner
For the UK Fire Service? :)
Thanks.. How do I go about getting the recruitment process started
I’m 15 and want to be a firefighter how can I Improve my chances to get in starting now
Hi, thanks for your message and it's good that you want to start young. My advice is to get some experience, when you are able to, of working in the community. Perhaps take up a voluntary role when you are 18 as I feel this would be a good starting point. You could also apply to become a part-time firefighter when you are 18 in your local area. Good luck :)
Danny's Gaming best tip is don’t tick the white box for racial catogory and heterosexual

Hi Steve. There’s a few people who have mentioned this to me in the past. I’d like to think it’s not the case however hearing so often makes you think. What’re your further thoughts if you don’t mind me asking? Thanks in advance
be a fire explorer if your local district offers it. i am one for my local and im 16, can stay there till 21 so its a great program
My 10 year's experience.
That's good!
Peaky ways?

Unfortunately this is outdated now and doesn’t reflect the current application stages.
Well spotted.
@@CareerVidz Can you please make an updated video for passing the Firefighter selection process? I'm 24, and I want to send my application in, however London Fire Brigade aren't taking in any trainees at the moment.
Due to covid aswell
i wear glasses so i guess i wont be able to get in
You can wear glasses :)

@@CareerVidz I was about to apply but when I checked on RAF eligibility check list, it says ''Candidates must not wear glasses or contact lenses.''
@@CareerVidz i am already subscribed :)
It's impossible for a student with no experience to join
Hi Michael, I am not sure I agree as you can go out and get some voluntary experience if you want to. This will help you to get some experience of working with other people and also working in the community :)
No one should be put off. Life experiences are different in everyone. You don't need to know PQAs or any other process. Be yourself, answer completely honestly and stick to a structure when answering. If you are ready and hungry for it you will get the job!
I think they’ve made it way too difficult.
Thanks!
