Beautiful video and I will be in Zim in December and will walk in those streets reminiscing the beautiful memories of growing up in that beautiful part of Zim.

Compared to its standards of the 1990's, Harare is now quite filthy.

Pick n Pay will always be kwaGreatermans where you visited Father Christmas to some of us that were 80s kids. I also remember the lift operator shouting "Going Up!" 😁
EDIT: Was also surprised to see the site where Ximex Mall was is now a fenced off carpark. Inga

To my white western eyes it’s nice to see such a busy bustling thriving city centre shopping mall. Whatever the past was surely it’s better to be your own man and whatever mistakes are made at least they’re your mistakes and not someone else’s imposed onto you?

Why are you always stuck on the past?
That wicked fake nation is dead, let people develop on their own but it seems some of you love the relics of the past and can’t help but mention it….

We don't go into downtown often because we often get harassed even though we are Zimbabweans. We do our work from our homes and only go to suburban shops not downtown

The city is still relatively clean and well kept. I was there in post-independence 1988. It inspired a song:
