Valrak has said a few times that orks will be the poster action of 11th edition. I'm gutted, Dark Eldar need it more than anyone, and i really want to collect the faction.
Same. People say ‘Drukhari aren’t plot relevant enough to be the new big bad’, but I say then make them plot relevant! Have Vect actually get off his ass and make a move against the Imperium!
Khorne/World Eaters all have newer model line, Slaanesh/Chaos Emperors Children (especially Noise Marines) are long overdue for premium model sculpts, units and treatment I still want to see if they actually carry through with full armor sculpts that look Slaaneshi and not Vanilla Chaos Undivided Legionnaires like what happened in 3rd/4th edition
In addition to the codex releases, GW is likely to start their end-of-edition campaign, similar to Gathering Storm, Psychic Awakening, or Arks of Omen near the end of the year. We'll probably see a couple random characters and maybe a squad from those. Also, Kill Team tends to sync one of the new teams with an upcoming codex. For example, they released the KT Brood Brothers at about the same time as the GSC codex earlier this year plus Tempestus Aquillons and Ratling Snipers before the Guard codex.
11th or 12th Edition will be Drew Carey versus Space Marines and it'll revolve around the narrative of the return of the Khan of the White Scars from his imprisonment by the Dark Eldar (been hinted at as they were who he was chasing when he disappeared). It'll be a way of releasing a lot of the fast attack style elements of the Space Marines they haven't gotten round to yet. The other edition release will be Space Marines versus Orks and all around the narrative of Space Wolves and Leman Russ returning versus Orks and Ghazkull (maybe evolving into a fully fledged Kwork to give Orks a Primarch level faction focus?). Boxes will obviously be painted as Ultramarines though because of bullshittery even though White Scars and Space Wolves have always had better, more interesting looks and lore. That's my predictions anyway. Space Wolves narrative with Orks as the main antagonist in 11th in 18 months. White Scars narrative with Dark Eldar main antagonist in 12 in 4 years. Dark Eldar will probably get Court of Archon or Beastmasters or something else fine cast redone this edition and next and full refresh then.
Sorry, but your predictions are completely off, especially if you've paid any attention to the reliable rumor sources... 1. Krieg launch box is all but confirmed for January. However, you'll have the 2 week pre-order -> release, *and then* wait 3-4 weeks until the full release 2 week-pre order -> release. All told, it (at worst) follows similar to the Dark Angels and will be full released by mid March. (Honestly, there is 0 reason to believe that GW is going to abandon this obnoxious practice as they've followed it to the letter thus far through all of 10th edition... it sucks big time, as it constantly pushes back on the other codex releases) 2. Eldar. No launch box rumored/confirmed yet, but at the most optimistic, it's the April release... pre-order late March/beginning of April, full release 2 weeks after 3. Knights + Chaos Knights. Imp Knights are rumored to be getting a brand new 'big' knight kit, with Chaos knights to get their own version of that kit with their codex, likely within a month or two of the Imperial release... Either way, Knights is (probably) a late April - early May pre-order, then 2 weeks after the full release, leaving them released by the middle/back middle of May. 4. *Grey Knights are already confirmed by GW to be a 2025 codex* My personal gut feeling is that after May, we get a month long break from 40k, as June is now traditionally "new edition launch month," and it just so happens that The Horus Heresy is due for a new edition in 2025... By the back end of June, I'd expect the Chaos Knights pre-order, with a full release early/mid July This leaves the back end of the month for the Grey Knights, who will very neatly dovetail into... 5. Emperor's Children Launch box 2 week pre-order in early August -> 3-4 week delay until full release pre-order. This puts the Emp's Children window from August through end of Sept. The rumored full lineup for them will be: Fulgrim + new Lucious sculpt + new 'Chaos Lord' type HQ + Emperor's Children Legionnaires + Noise Marines (rumored 3 per box/max squad size of 6) and an elite 'Bladeguard-like' bodyguard unit, potentially with dual wielding swords... The launch box is rumored to be: Lucious + 20 Legionnaires + 12 Noise Marines 6. *Space Wolves is 99% confirmed by GW already!!* They have been teasing Space Wolves for a damned good reason, and that's because late 2025 is the coming of the Wolftime! Rumors have new models for Logan Grimnar, minus his Santa sleigh, new Ajiac Rockfist, new Njal Stormcaller, new Grey Hunter kit, new Bloodclaw kit, new 'bodyguard' unit w/various weapons + shields loadout & each marines having a pet wolf... This release is said to be FAR LARGER than the EC's release, and is likely to be on the same scale as, if not slightly larger than the Eldar release. 7. 1kSons are rumored to be getting a Battle Automaton, but no rumors yet on when (or even if!) their codex will drop yet... Death Guard & World Eaters have 0 whispering at this point and time, and again, there's actual speculation that these other 3 God-aligned codices will NOT even get a release at all in 10th, due to how GW is dragging things out & the folding-in of Daemons As for new models, DG & WE's will not get any actual models, because GW being the lazy sods we know them to be, they will use the excuse of merging all the Daemons into the books as the big "model release wave", allowing them to kick the can down the road for another edition or two... 8. 11th edition Obviously, with the 3yr cycle, this means June 2026, and yes, *Orks are indeed the heavily rumored main antagonist faction* This gives GW the opportunity to retire & replace the older kits for Boyz, Nobz, Lootas/Burnas, Bikerz & even the Stormboyz are rumored to be getting redone. HQ's such as the Wyrdboy & Warboss also need new kits, plus the potential to return 'lost' named characters such as the Flash Gitz named character, Boss Zagstruk, Wazdakka, etc... GW can also reach into their bag of Orky toyz and bring back old stalwarts such as 'Ard Boyz, Weirdboyz, etc... maybe even a Rebel Grots kill team?! 9. Dark Eldar, Votann, Black Templars: plenty of time to drop all 3 of these codices between Jan '26 -> April '26, just in time to build up the 11th edition hype train in through May Under this scenario, Votann have a good window of opportunity to get a decent '2nd wave' release of at least 3-4 new kits, probably something akin to an EC's size wave, or slightly smaller. But again, there's exactly 0 reliable rumors at this point on any of these factions...
@drunkenastarte5243 Thanks for the write-up. I've been following rumours somewhat, but generally, these videos are less fun if it's just me repeating what the popular rumours are saying, so in a sense, I feel it's good that we disagree. Thanks for taking the time to list all this, though. Quite a few rumours I have not heard about yet.
@@EmpireofWargames A certain yellow Chapter Master is about the only source worth listening to on the rumor front these days ;-) Most of the whisperings are that his sources are just GW and he's secretly on their payroll. (or at least, that's how we all love to pick on him, alongside his secret love for all things Iron Warriors) The idea of the other 3 god-dedicated Legions NOT getting a codex release this edition is entirely my own personal gut feeling... you look at the historical patterns of 8th & 9th releases being fairly evenly distributed between Astartes vs. Imperium vs. Xenos vs. Chaos, yet this edition, suddenly we've had: 3 Marines vs. 5 Xenos vs. 4 Imperium vs. just 1 Chaos book The rumors of Daemons being removed as a stand alone army & those units spread into their relevant God-aligned Legion? The narrative pushing Vashtorr and the Dark Mech more and more into the spotlight as major threats, while knowing how insanely popular the mortal hordes/Lost and the Damned armies of yester-years still remain among players? (...oh, and the whisperings of Dark Mech releases for 11th to boot!) Something *IS* happening with Chaos as a faction, and it feels like GW is purposefully pushing them back in the release calendar in order to make the whole transition smoother and/or to not totally tank certain sales mid edition. My gut says, it's not a Dark Mech codex coming next edition, it's a return of a proper 'Lost and the Damned' codex, which will rip ALL the mortal units from the CSM codex, including the likes of Vashtorr, Be'Lakor, etc... and shoving all that + new Dark Mech units into their own codex. Then give the dedicated mono-God Legions their attention late 11th -> through 12th editions. (...if GW puts even a half-hearted effort into, Agents players are going to cry!) As a World Eaters collector/fan, it sucks massively being left in the cold the way we are with barely a leaflet for an army list, but for now, I'll just go back to CSM codex rules and pretend we're Daemonkin again?!
Lot's more to speculate about. These videos are incredibly fun to make, so I'll upload these every once in a while!
Thanks for watching!

@mrviking2mcall212 drukhari have been a starter box army in the past so there's precedent
For World Eaters just themed Red Butcher terminators, new daemon engine, and Teeth of Khorne would make me happy.
Khorne/World Eaters all have newer model line, Slaanesh/Chaos Emperors Children (especially Noise Marines) are long overdue for premium model sculpts, units and treatment

The leagues of voltaan need assault troops with jet packs some kind of artillery unit and heavy weapons squad that isn’t thunderkin
I love how everyone is snorting the copium, hoping that 11th edition won't be a hard reset and that Codex bought in 10th will still work into 11th...
Rumors is CSM will be the big bad in 11th.
more precise Iron Warriors with Perturabo Daemon Prince.
