I just made a trip into town today and got the chicken pita... it was an amazing experience. The homemade pita was so amazing and the fillings.... and the cheese! Heavenly!! Totally worth the trip

Love me a good falafel Used to eat them every day in Israel. Had a great place across the street from my hostel. about $2-3 in 1989 where they had about 24 bowls of ingredients and you made your own with those ingredients. Yummy memories.

Based on the your replies to comments and the taking down of any critical comments you’ve shown your true colors. Saying food is all about love shows how little you actually know about other cultures. Food and the appropriation of food has been a colonial tool for hundreds of years. I was an avid watcher but after this tone deaf video I just can’t.

I think we’ve removed at most one comment from this video and that was just because it was very abusive. No matter what the video we remove that sort of comment (ie overly abusive, racist or sexist etc (it’s normally aimed at us and we have a right to not accept things like that being posted on our channel)). The only Jewish item here was the pastry. The falafel and pita and hummus are cuisine that has been culturally appropriated from the Palestinians. It’s not enough they steal their land, they also steal their cuisine and traditions.
I suppose you have no idea that approximately 850,000 Jewish people lived in the surrounding Arab countries until they were expelled and murdered (along with confiscation of their property) in the 1940’s. Their cuisine was also falafel and pita and hummus which their descendants are eating in Israel as part of their own heritage.
The kind of falafel served in Israel today was brought there by Yeminite Jews escaping to Israel between 1949 and the mid-1950's. It's their (the Yemenite Jews) version of falafel.
JUST for reference AUCKLAND IS the name of Auckland not tamaki makoto , ......it is this the Maori Given name to this part of nz and it is annoying to see it given to a NEW ZEALAND place name FROM A NEW ZEALANDER

Unfortunately this is whitewashing colonial Israeli crimes. They steal recipes and culture and land then call it Israeli
Based on the your replies to comments and the taking down of any critical comments you’ve shown your true colors. Saying food is all about love shows how little you actually know about other cultures. Food and the appropriation of food has been a colonial tool for hundreds of years.

I think we’ve removed at most one comment from this video and that was just because it was very abusive. No matter what the video we remove that sort of comment (ie overly abusive, racist or sexist etc (it’s normally aimed at us and we have a right to not accept things like that being posted on our channel)). Re this video it was filmed long before any of the current happenings and is just about great food. Thomas.

The only Jewish item here was the pastry. The falafel and pita and hummus are cuisine that has been culturally appropriated from the Palestinians. It’s not enough they steal their land, they also steal their cuisine and traditions.

I suppose you have no idea that approximately 850,000 Jewish people lived in the surrounding Arab countries until they were expelled and murdered (along with confiscation of their property) in the 1940’s. Their cuisine was also falafel and pita and hummus which their descendants are eating in Israel as part of their own heritage.

The kind of falafel served in Israel today was brought there by Yeminite Jews escaping to Israel between 1949 and the mid-1950's. It's their (the Yemenite Jews) version of falafel.

JUST for reference AUCKLAND IS the name of Auckland not tamaki makoto , ......it is this the Maori Given name to this part of nz and it is annoying to see it given to a NEW ZEALAND place name FROM A NEW ZEALANDER
