@@prestofixit3518 It's all good. I just installed the Curt hitch on my 05' Jetta TDI. Put threads on inside. Tire is 6 inch's from any of the bolts. It was just a tight fit for the styrofoam filler that i put back in, but it fit. Now if i ever sell the car the hitch will be easy to get off. Lots of road salt here in the winter.

Thank you for watching! It was so worth adding the hitch! I tow around a trailer all the time. I used it to pick up a motorcycle a few months ago!

Why did you expose the threads to the outside? You could of put them in the trunk. High and dry, away from rust and dirt.
They would get in the way of the spare tire.
