Thank you so much!
"keeping it wheel!" lol I just got it. Great channel. Your van is awesome. You are an inspiration.
Ha! I can’t even take credit for the name, friends called me that in university and I can’t believe how fitting it is now! Welcome to the channel and thanks for commenting 😃
Catheter storage 😂 dealing with that right now, thanks for the clever ideas.
If only I could reach a rooftop storage container, that would solve a lot! 😂
I just watched a @BoundForNowhere vlog and it was about Kirk Williams living and traveling in his wheel chair accessible van and this is why TH-cam recommended your channel and glad they did. We also owned a van and traveled in it but now we have a Scamp trailer . We are enjoying your videos. You have an awesome van.
Kirk was my inspiration and made me believe I could do Vanlife!!
Thanks for tuning in 😀
go girl, the parts of canada i've been to are great. hope you enjoy Cali as much. love the spirit of adventure you have
I’m currently in B.C. and can’t get over the amazing free camp spots 😍

Thank you!! Same to you!!
Welcome back home to Canada ❗️🫶
Haha thank you!! I was greeted with snow and inaccessible businesses…to be shared in the next video :)
Thanks for share Lisa 💯
Oh this channel is just getting rolling :) thanks for supporting it 😀
Bless you my friend from New Zealand x
Hey! Thanks for coming back for another video :)
@@Keepinitwheel306 🥰 Of course x My pleasure!
I grew up in Washington State. I traveled all over Western WA with my grandmother who grew up in an orphanage then survived the Great Depression. She told me so many stories about surviving on clams, oysters, and dandelions. I think about her every day. I live in Georgia now and my goal is to buy a van and travel to the beaches of Georgia. I bought some canned meat from Keystone Meat and my idea is to eat that and canned vegetables to keep things easy. I have food sensitivities and I eat low carb due to diabetes.
Thanks for sharing your adventure and happy you got to check off soaking in the hot spring pool. I remember as a young kid going to them in Louisiana all the time. I love how it make you feel so soft and any aches you had would be gone. I hope it helped you in some way to relive and invigorate yourself. Blessings!
Ohhh I didn’t think Louisiana would have hot springs! Interesting!
It totally invigorated me, I wish I could start (or even better - end) each day with a soak like that.
Thanks for tuning in 😀
@@Keepinitwheel306 It's a place out past a town called Boyce in the country. They were like sulfur hot springs.
One of my favorite "The ADA is insufficient" solutions is that gas stations without a pump attendant and no button to call an attendent direct you to drive up to the store and HONK YOUR HORN TO GET THEIR ATTENTION TO HELP. Do they not understand how unhinged that makes us look??? Sitting in front of the store honking your horn as your first interaction with them??
Haha, I’ve never tried that (it’s not a thing in Canada) and when I asked Spike after seeing a sign in the US he said it doesn’t work. I’ve recently discovered an App called Fuel Service where you can let the attendant inside certain gas stations know you’re outside and at what pump. Only works in Canada from what I can tell.
@@Keepinitwheel306works in the UK also, it’s an absolute game changer. I struggled with getting fuel for the first couple of years til someone told me of that app. I appreciate the UK is a long way from you guys but thought it was good to know :) x
@@HayOborn that’s awesome!! Very good to share this info.
It saddens me that you must go back to Canada, but I am excited to see your next adventure! Also that last scene of the mountains was exquisite! 🤩
It just makes me appreciate California even more ….cant wait to return!
That has Spring must have felt amazing. I've never been able to do that, but it's on my bucket list too. You did some really cool things in this video.😊
Sooo amazing! So freeing!
Hey Lisa. If you happen by Vancouver Island (Comox Valley) and are interested in riding Cumberland shoot me a message. Many trails of various skill levels. Love your vids. Keep it up and happy trails.
Hey! I’m often there in the fall, I rode there with Gene and Sierra last year. I love that area, will definitely reach out when I’m back. Happy trails to you too!
Well done👍❤️
Hi, new subscriber here! I dicovered your vlog and suscribed. I'll be seeing you along the way!
Welcome!! I’m happy you’re along for the journey 😎
I love these adventures… when I see you’ve posted another video I have to watch it straight away 😂 that hot springs looked amazing! Was it a struggle to get out?? (Can only dream of that in UK 😂)
Aww your comment made my day!
It wasn’t a struggle at all, once I was on the rock ledge it was a basic floor-to-chair transfer. The only concern was my skin scraping since I was unclothed 😆 but I used a yoga mat as padding.
@@Keepinitwheel306 I love you say “basic floor to chair transfer” in six years I still haven’t mastered it… I must try harder 🤣 safe travels back to Canada 🇨🇦
As a wheelchair user for many years, I am really amazed at how fit they are as Tetra so well that they can transfer to the ground and get into the handbike on their own.
handbike. It's amazing that you can manage in this small space in the van, how do you get into the driver's seat when the cupboard at the back almost reaches the driver's seat? . I was also fit as a young person, but I am SCI 7/8, so I still had full arm function when I was young. I love surfing, but unfortunately I have osteoporosis from over 40 years in a wheelchair .It wpuld be great when your answer Greeting from Europa .❤❤❤
My latest video shows how I make the transfer to the drivers seat, and I believe the video that breaks down the cost of my van shows it as well
Hi new Subscriber here, you showed up in my recommended videos tonight and have to say I am very interested in your videos and your journeys will be checking your older videos in days to come and look forward to your future videos. Have a great weekend
Awesome, I appreciate you stopping by to comment! This channel is just getting rolling so your timing is perfect :) cheers, enjoy your weekend
@@Keepinitwheel306 turned on notifications too so I won't miss a thing lol, Have a great weekend
@@tuckerandi love it! Also, let me know if you think of anything you’d like me to cover in a video
@@Keepinitwheel306 deal , I'm scared to ask that of my followers , I have some subscribers who would as me to do something like get in a barrel and go over Niagara Falls lol
@@tuckerandi ha, maybe I should refrain from asking that in the future but you get a free pass
Interesting
amazing beautiful woman .
Nothing against Canada, but we have plenty of room in the US for another permanent resident. You'd be more than welcome!
I do love Canada, but wouldn’t mind figuring out a way to stay in the US longer. Right now I either need an employer to sponsor me or I need to find an American husband 😂
You'd be an excellent spokesperson for Ford and the Transit Van
@@7bean584 I wouldn’t object to that! I love my transit.
You did well to come back from a serious shoulder injury. I see people all the time in my work that go on to have permanent problems and they aren’t having to weight bear through their arms to move their whole body with transfers. What was the treatment in the end that helped with your condition?
I agree, I’m incredibly lucky. I will always have shoulder issues (after 4 surgeries on it!!) and live with chronic pain. My 4th surgery stopped my shoulder from subluxing but the biggest help for me was neuroplasticity training. I no longer let pain control me and learning to NOT be afraid of movement has been the biggest lesson for me. The book that really started my recovery was called The Brain’s Way Of Healing Itself.
@@Keepinitwheel306 Norman Doidge I think. That’s a good one. I liked some of the case studies where they treated phantom limb pain with a mirror box. I think that was in it. I must read it again. I think with all your high level achievements and van life adventures, and conquering over adversity that maybe you should write a book? I would read it for sure!
@@EYEMISSSEINFELD yes! Norman Doidge did write it, good knowledge on your part.
Oh my, I’m a terrible writer. I’m just too succinct and have a terrible memory when it comes to details of events. But it’s a compliment you suggested it, so thanks!
@@Keepinitwheel306 I guess engineers aren’t always known for tending flowery word gardens! But maybe vlogs are a modern day version of memoirs anyhow. So perhaps you are already doing it ;-)
wow!!! she dont let nothing stop her...n look at me...whats my excuse for not living life as it should n see the wonders of Jesus's creation?..i appluad u ma'am, ur an inspiration....
