I subscribed after seeing the 35mm review in my recommendations but there aren’t that many other videos. I think the channel will grow with more content. It feels like you’re doing all the right things, it just needs more of it. 🙂
Really enjoying the music choice in this video, it's a relief watching a photography videos without the typical lofi music haha. The shots in this video are also sooo nice, especially the ones with the guy with wings, keep up the great work :)
Alex, 3 are the things I have to tell u: 1. U deserve more viewers; 2. Impressed to how u speak japanese; 3. Very useful tipps to approach people, especially for a shy person with no experience on portrait in general and on the street in particular. I will subscribe here in ut and in ig, too. And feel free to comment my pics on ig.
Hi Alex, if you were asked to choose between this lens and the 18mm f/2 for street photography, which would you prefer? I love your real world lens test videos.
The f2 in size, weight and weather resistance is a better lens. Sharpness, bokeh, manual focusing, micro-contrast detail just overall image quality, the 1.4 is much better. That being said, I also have the 23f2wr and use that lens too because of the WR and size putting it into smaller bags. I am planning on selling one of these lenses but I havent made up my mind yet. I will review the 23f2wr in the future and decide after that. I basically dont shoot the f2wr at f2. I always shoot it at 2.8 and above. If I shoot at night and want bokeh I get the 1.4 out. At the end of the day though don't be dumb like me. Just buy one and you'll be fine. Just choose the right one for your needs.
Awesome video as usual! Yeah agree with you, Japanese people are so polite and some of them are sensitive to camera, sometimes I feel like I am holding a bomb 😂.
Just found your channel. Definitely underrated. Have a follow here and on insta - street plus portraits. i love the down-to-earth vibe and your small anecdotes.
I don't do too many portraits on the streets, but I loooove japanese style. So I would love to switch things up and take a bunch of cool portraits if I were to visit. Great video brudda!!! Have you shot cinestill yet? I wonder how that would look for portraits there.
Underrated TH-cam Chanel.
Thanks that means a lot 🙏

Haha I definitely love me some lofi too but I do try to branch out. Really wanna put some strait jazz in my next video. Thanks for watching!
Such a humble TH-cam channel, very easy to enjoy, and getting the feeling like I am tagging a walk with you.
Damn thanks a lot. Thats what I am going for. So many reviews out there just seem impersonal. I am happy to make someone feel in it with me. Cheers!
Incredible on several levels
Thanks bro! You'll like how the next one sounds. ;)
Absolutely love it. This lens is beautiful.

That shot at 7:50 was sooooooo dope

Another brilliant video! You seem like such a cool.person the people on the street easily warm to you!
Just bought the Viltrox equivalent, but the minimum focus distance on this is amazing. Thanks for the content! 😎
Do you like the 1.4 more than the f2? I feel like the only 1.4 that balances well with the xpro3 is the 35. Thoughts?

Pt 3?? Loved the vibes of this one! Music was on point! Gawd damn it I miss japan
Leo Galang Part 3 lives on.. IN YOU! *points finger to your heart* Thanks it took me awhile to make the music selections here. 🤓
You need more subs man. Good stuff!
Great video mate. Love those Fujis
Another awesome street vid.

Thanks I am glad you like the small anecdotes. To me that's what my whole channel is about.
Great vid! I love this lens and I'm usually torn between this and the 35 1.4 when I'm out shooting.
Greetings from Portland, OR. I am really enjoying my X Pro3, especially for street photography. Regards, Daryl
Love my 23mm 1.4. It’s tack sharp through all apertures. Don’t know how they will make it better with the new version next year.

jae rose Thanks 🙏 I plan to shoot it soon in Tokyo if I can get my hands on it!
Great videos Alex 👌
Stuck between the 23mm and 35mm 1.4 lens for my Fuji x-T30
Thx for this vidéo
Cool
Hi Alex do you shoot street on auto focus?
"Dont be shy to get rejected", i quoted that in mind.
How do you find this lens to use as a manual lens and occasionally use AF?
Also, you have a great sense of humor. I think you could lean into that even more.
Thanks! I try but just enough cause I don't want to force it if it's not natural for me. Thanks again!
I need more x-pro3 & 35.4 video!
Can you still use the ovf on the xpro3 with this lens?
I'm wondering the same thing. I know the 23 f2 blocks some space in the bottom right corner
Very nice Content😍🥰
bring it on for the 56 1.2!
5:44 you can call this shot "avalanche of faces" you first notice the two girls giggly faces and then boom you see faces all over.
Beautiful lens a bit on heavy side but very sharp you need to get close on your subject.
Amazing video. Do you have instagram by any chance?
Yes alex.on.streets ;)
You are the Rodney Mullen of photography
56 1.2 yessss.
Asking random people for a portrait and they accepting with no questionnaire (like all over Europe) or asking for money(like in china) its amazing
think as lenses get more clinical this may end end up as a vintage classic
not selling it no way
images have a certain look
2.Comment fuck yeah @Christopher G, Ill be faster next time
Man, you give zero fucks. Well done!
such a big personality man! are you filming on an X-T3? it's losing focus a lot
