I never realized, despite the amount of times I've rewatched the series, that "Harrison Wells" gives away to Barry how he tricked everyone with a speed mirage in this episode
The issue with this TV series is that Barry shouldn't be able to move fast enough at series speeds to make a speed mirages or time travel viable. The flash has other things he can do from the comics because he can run and percentages of the speed of light, right up to just under the actual speed of light. In the series he's only running at the speed of sound which is 1,234 Kilometers per HOUR, whereas the speed of light is 299,792 Kilometers per SECOND. They also disregard some of Barry Allen as the Flash's powers specifically, like that he has a Frictionless Aura, so none of his clothes would light on fire, nor would he be affected by ice on the ground, and other such things, he can also vibrate his molecules out of phase so he can walk through objects. And asking Barry to do something 'fast' isn't fast for him. For Barry it's just like it is for us, if a task would normally take a person hours or days, to Barry he experiences that much time passing because he's just accelerated to that speed, and everyone else see's it happen super quickly... it's still just as tedious and boring for him as it would be for anyone else. Also whomever wrote this episode doesn't know how lightning works, lightning doesn't travel from the sky to the ground, it travels from the ground to the sky... what everyone see's as lightning was the ignition from the spark in the sky traveling back down the lightning bolt in reverse. At it isn't moving anywhere near as slow as the speed of sound, the speed is about 300,000 Kilometers per hour.
@@Acilican it actually depends on which Flash, but both Barry and Wally can run faster than the speed of light in the comics, also lightning actually does both
@@JustinVanTrump Those weren't Wally's original powers, nor were they the powers of other speedsters. Those powers were specific to Barry and his genes, which is why Impulse starts with those powers, Max Mercury explains all of this in the comics. Wally eventually gets those powers, But Barry started with them all.
@@Acilican you also left out that Crisis on Infinite Earths, New 52, Rebirth, and whatever the current multiversal retcon is also changed the powers over the years, but Wally was always the fastest member of the Flash family (or at least to my understanding considering he was the only one capable of outrunning Black Flash in the comics)

I would say the show only starts to get bad when season 5 starts. Don't get me wrong, season 4 wasn't as good as the first three, but it doesn't get to the point where I straight up dislike episodes. Plus, I want to see his reaction to FlashTime, my favorite episode.

My presumption in the beginning with Barry and Iris I think they both had the same idea to go to the same place because they both really do just love that place but I also do think they knew they’d probably run into each other the only difference I think is Iris wanted it to happen while Barry really was more surprised

This episode is fire, really the plot of the entire season is greatly written. I feel the same about Iris, no spoilers but I didn't like her at this point of the story and in the future of the story I hate her.

This episode is Peak CW Flash, really sad the show starts to fall off after second season but it was a joy to watch you react to this.
I would say the show only starts to get bad when season 5 starts. Don't get me wrong, season 4 wasn't as good as the first three, but it doesn't get to the point where I straight up dislike episodes. Plus, I want to see his reaction to FlashTime, my favorite episode.
