Awesome kit. I am in the middle of building one right now. This kit is way more difficult to put together compared to the Tamiya kit. Thank you for sharing. Also, this is probably one of the reasons the Navy had to decommission an F14. It is just way too many moving parts.
I spent 4 years on the carrier Constellation and never once did I ever see a Tomcat come even close to being this dirty. Sure the showed the effects of the saltwater but nothing like this. This kit doesn't even come with engines or the weather vanes. It is way overpriced. Oh, and yet another kit that can't get the intakes right.
Tamiya has no experience, but has a good reputation for good fitting. I think it's very easy to make. In comparison, AMK is a unique kit with very delicate and realistic details. It's hard to compare.
Tamiya is much easier to put together, it pretty much falls together. AMK has more options with the refueling probe and spoilers, but has fit issues and the instructions are very hard to understand at times. Basically if you have some experience, and are willing to do filling and sanding AMK is great, but if you want something that will take half as long and doesn’t require a lot of extra work Tamiya is the way to go.

I have both AMK and Tamiya. In term of details...AMK better...but Tamiya is less complex to build.

Геометрия нижней части самолета нарушена, такое ощущение что его загнули вверх как сосиску, и ещё какой то он пузатый. Яцеобразность тоже подкачал.
