One day, an elderly skaven of Clan Eshin was walking along the fetid pools near his home when he noticed something odd. Four baby turtles had somehow found their way deep underground into Skavenblight. In a rare act of pity, the skaven took the creatures into his home. Some time later, sensing the end of his days, he decided that it was time to pass on his skills. However, he had long since learned that his own kind could not be trusted. So rather than train a young skaven who would no doubt use the very skills he passed to them to kill him, he instead took the turtles to a contact from Clan Moulder. His instructions were simple. They must be intelligent enough to understand his teachings, humanoid so that they could perform his techniques, and above all else, unquestionably loyal. The deed was done, for a considerable cost in warp stone. And as the Eshin elder looked upon his new disciples, Clan Skryre made yet another monumental fuck up. One of their inventions exploded violently, tearing open a rift in reality which pulled the turtles and their new mentor into a new world. Now finding themselves in a world where skaven did not exist and the man-animals ruled unopposed, the elder looked to his new sons and made one firm decision. They would survive.

My goodness!I thought it was just me who works out to Sabaton! Thank goodness, I decided to wait this week and listen to this wonderful Skaven lore before my workout this week!
Years later, it turns out Dev is the perfect Eshen-Roleplayer. Entirely convinced his plans will work and even learning the art of not loudly roleplaying while trying to achieve his objective( whatever that may be).

Perhaps best of all they could be completely destroyed and as long as the brain survives, they will be remade! if this is what you have made you are truly the greatest genus mankind has ever known!

Kyber Cat I think you're overreacting a bit, also some of your ideas mentioned men of iron-ish tech, and I don't think that I have to explain why big E wouldn't, most propably, do it. Also we have to remember that Emps built them not olny as a soldiers, but also as leaders and protectors of soon-to-be his Imperium and guys who unify it (preety much supermen), where psychological effect of SM works quite good, imagine this:
You're some guy living on a feral world during the grat crusade. One day a werid flying ship lands near your village, and from it comes group of giant, muscular guys in heavy armour armed with shining swords and other cool shit. "Dayum, they look like heroes of old legends" you think to yourself. Then one of them says

I'm surprised that one of the lords of decay actually lost in combat,as most of the current Council of Thirteen are more than likely to gut any rat foolish enough to challenge then.
What's nice about the missing units for the skaven roster is only one CANT be added through mods.
Arch could you do a lore video , ranking the space marines in terms of which had the most violent /successful/most skilled troops/most technologically equipped /best weaponry/legendary leaders - and do your best to rank them in a list , I think this would be a good video , when I typed in "most powerful space marines chapters" there was no definitive video on the subject and it is a very commonly searched request on Google , I only typed in ' most powerful s" and I could see it . No need for a short video make it an hour plus please .
Also there general strong/weak points in the actual game itself , which are the most efficient and valuable troops per point , and which are just simply the coolest

Obviously, the Dark Angels, being the first legion, are the greatest and most powerful Chapter of Space Marines. That being said, the rest are irrelevant.

Dicerson EXCEPT THE DARK ANGELS ARE NOW A COMPLETELY NORMAL SIZED CHAPTER OF UNQUESTIONED LOYALTY THAT DOES NOT IN ANY WAY HAVE ANY PATTERN OF UNUSUALLY CLOSE COOPERATION WITH ITS MANY SUCCESSOR CHAPTERS, AND CERTAINLY DO NOT HAVE LEGION-LEVEL FORCES AT ITS DISPOSAL. AND SO YOUR POINT IS MOOT.

I was hoping to hear about How they paint their fur black and have their scent glands removed surgically.
You touched upon an important aspect of the Skaven; their egomania combined with their paranoia. They think their race is the greatest to ever grace the world. But because they see themselves as so competent, they view each OTHER as way more threatening than any of the enemy countries. Hopefully, when playing Skaven, the game is programmed to make world domination as hard as possible. Perhaps if your Skaven faction has the highest power rating, every other one will team up to knock you down a peg.
Well, the new mechanic is that EVERY faction will do that anyway, not Skaven exclusive. Also, loyalty is a feature of Skaven generals so if it drops to zero, you have yourself an enemy army, with units handpicked by you (so the build is actually good)

So basically the Foot Clan, but meaner & on steroids, bet you there is someone who named his hero or favorite model Hamato Yoshi, then added some mutated Lizard Men as his retinue & has Chaos Warlord, or Dark Elf Lord would also work, with a thing for spikes & wields bladed fist weapons as his main enemy! :D

my theory is that pickle rick and splinter from tmnt fought each other on the battlefield rick being of course a sell sword employed by armies that needed him and splinter being a less than common skaven they fought epic battles but they could never quite kill each other always managing to just get away one day they were fighting both reaching the end of their careers splinter because he was old rick because there were hundreds of thousands rat ogres coming straight for them they danced a deadly dance of life and death their battlefield lighted only by the warpstone cavern in a quick move splinter slashes a warpstones crystal shattering it in the face of pickle rick and makes his escape into one of the thousands of tunnels rick looking down quickly grabs a chunk of WARP STONE wink* and escapes via hole above the chamber climbing to safety from the now furious rat ogres...soon thereafter splinter recived his discharge papers having fought with the great verminetide his whole life he sets out on a new adventure in New York rick remained on the run the vermintide now looking everywhere for him Ricks new invention the portal gun took him to a strange new world

What would you think if they did TWW3, Arch? They could maybe have Cathay as an actual army, maybe with units from Ind and Nippon working as mercenaries. And there could even still be a Clan Eshin faction living in Cathay - there's really no telling how many of them stayed behind when the others returned to Skavenblight is there? They might even Ogre and Chaos Dwarf armies to play around with, huh?

It's only been a little under a year since your last Skaven video. I mean, you're supposed to be a huge skaven fanboy, but it's taken you this long to just get to the second of the 5 major skaven clans. I'm not going to keep holding out hope that you'll get to Clan Mors, Moulder, or Pestilens, let alone a few of the lesser but still major clans like Clan Rictus.
I don't think Arch will like the Skaven roster in Warhammer 2...they missed ALOT of iconic units
well to be fair there isnt exactly much chance they could practically get all of the iconic units in by launch.
pretty much every skaven unit has so much personality its iconic and unless you want to cut serious corners with the elves we arent getting all the clans iconic units

skyre, if we are ever getting a skaven lord pack it will be skyre based and we will get most of those.
also the poisoned wind mortar seems kind of irrelevant when you have the plague claw catapult which is just better.
and giant rat swarms are just fucking pointless
Poison Wind Mortar, Jezzails, Doomflayer and Ratling Guns will come with Skryre themed dlc mate - most likely with Ikit Claw. I'm not sure if Giant Rats, Wolf Rats and Packmasters will make it - not unless they do addition to Clan Moulder with Throt but never say never.

I would guess they are about equally strong and tough and almost equally agile. However, Skaven have the edge in dexterity and pure speed and a few minor advantages such as incisors and claws. I'd argue that because of their metabolism and jittery nature they also have a tad better reflexes. While Goblins and Skaven are both cowardly however, unless this is a Night Goblin, I'd argue the Common Goblin is slightly braver than the average Skaven, certainly braver than Skavenslaves. The courage would matter little though if the fight was certain. The odds favor, I guess, the Skaven.
