How to tell when the hosts have become exhausted: they enter the super silly mode. I do too by the way. Hopefully you can get a little rest once the store is decorated, but it's Christmas/holiday time so probably not. There's open house, client bookings for home & business decorating, arrangements & deliveries, shipping for last minute purchases, church decorating, etc. What did I miss? Family commitments too. Sending positive thoughts & a second wind of energy. 🎄
I just remembered David is designing next year's Christmas products. Phew, I'm tired.

I love his accent and yours I've always loved a Southern accent even though I was born up north and still live up north. But the few times I've gone down south I used to have the people talk so that I could hear the accent. And I especially love all your Christmas trees in your decorations that you do and your centerpieces they're all so beautiful thank you for being the ones to share it with me. God bless

I like the ribbon but I like the striped side best for me I would probably twist and turn on it so both sides would come out eventually

It may interest you to know that at Disneyland, the Groundskeepers/Landscapers always mix Red and Pink flowers in the flower beds together because it enhances it's vividness. 😀

Gorgeous! I do a candy tree and just love this one and all the ones you do! Expert you are… for sure! Not to sound snooty but I must tell you that those are not macaroons lol. Macaroons are the old coconut type cookie with a cherry usually on top, from our childhood. The French take credit for the ones you have and they are Macrons. It’s pronounced just like it looks Mac- Rons. My last name is Moux lol.

Molly, you’re correct. These are called macaroons in our industry. We gave them their name. In the US, everyone, including the bakeries, calls them macaroons. I’ve actually never heard of macrons.

If you Google macaroon, this is the definition we based our design on: A macaron or French macaroon is a sweet meringue-based confection made with egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond meal, and food colouring. The macaron is traditionally held to have been introduced in France by the Italian chef of queen Catherine de Medici during the Renaissance. So I believe we are both correct. :)

David, your trees and ornaments are gorgeous every time. Thanks for sharing how you decorate. I have definitely learned a lot from you. I have a question for you. Our tree is not themed. We have a collection of ornaments that we have acquired over the years on trips, family ornament swaps, and just buying one offs that we love. Could you show how to decorate with a mishmash of ornaments at some point? Thanks!
We have a similar tree at our home. We basically just fill it with the "special ornaments" and add some ribbon. You could also mix in a few stems and other ornaments. We love to collect ornaments from all of the places we travel, and our kids have their own tote of their ornaments they put on. The special trees are....well, "special." Hope this helps.
