Last season, they revealed that while Diggle's biological father was Diggle, he was raised by General Stewart, a man that served with his father. He was played by Ernie Hudson on the show. Why did this give me chills when I hate some of the versions I just saw here... JESUS if we could pick the best from each DC product and start over it would be LEGENDARY.
Starting over would be pointless. It would take away all the effort these actors have put into these characters over the years. But what WB should learn from seeing how hype people getting watching these trailers is that restrictions on certain characters is pointless.
A single characters besides the main character never defines the show. So Adrian Chase leaving is never a solid reason enough to stop watching. And season 6 wasn't even so bad. And better yet Josh Segarra will be present as Adrian Chase this season on Arrow.

I was exactly the same as you, Season 5 with Adrian Chase was so good that once he left I gave up after that terrible season 6.

Yeah season 6 wasnt that good. But season 7 is good, especially the ending.
