i was there and i swear if george salazar didn’t walk off that stage we would’ve never stopped clapping. a lot of the songs during the performance got standing ovations but michael in the bathroom was the only song that got an immediate one.
I'm pretty sure the actress of Jenna was trying not to cry at the end of Smartphone hour, which breaks my heart. I'm guessing George too at the end of Michael in the bathroom. I mean, you never know with George during this song since he's so good at acting like a sad teen that I want to give him a hug during every performance. But, just a guess since his face wasn't visible. Ugh, this breaks my heart so bad. I'm obsessed with this show.

Sam by being real. These characters these actors everything and everyone in that show connected us. A whole community bonded over a story of not just love, but friendship. One where being weird was good and powerful. We cry because the story is over. But we also cry because it was amazing and in the end we won’t let it die out. The stuff will continue to spread and share and the community will always exist. Maybe other shows will come around and we will see each other there. Or maybe not. But we cry not for a simple little musical. We cry for everything it has done to change us.
It must be really hard to stay in character after something like Michael in The Bathroom with that amount of applause. Also, I relate very much to George clutching his heart through most of this video.

This broke me so much. Seeing everyone crying shattered my heart. I'm fairly new to the fandom but this musical has addressed a lot of the issues facing teens currently through amazing people and songs (it's going to sound cliché but Michael In The Bathroom made me feel not so alone in my struggles with social anxiety). I had always clung to the hope that I would see it at some point (which was very far fetched considering I live in Britain) and I guess I won't (unless it is brought back but idk if it will be I hope so). But anyway, thank you BMC for lifting my spirits with your amazingness and I hope one day I can see you live x
This is my favourite musical of all time and I'm really bummed I missed it. Both of them... seeing this is actually so emotional to me both because I will never be able to see it, and 2 because... I mean... LOOK AT THEM! They are so passionate and have been doing the show for years, must be tough to leave their family.

if i were on that stage acting in that show i would have been sobbing on stage that day i had a show that i was called in to help with as one of the side characters i had 2 scenes on stage i had never met most of the cast i was only there for tech week because i was called in for help at the last minute and we only had 4 shows but i still cried when it was over so i would have just been sobbing on stage also the hug at 2:54 was adorable
