Question! Does the Green Beans need to be fully submerged in water inside the jar or can a few of them be poking up above the water? 🙂
They need to submerge due to the headspace measurement. That could lead to siphoning in your jars.

I use a pressure canner for 25 minutes
What is a reasonably priced pressure canner/cooker that will hold the most quart jars.
I would recommend the Presto 23 quart pressure canner.

Do you heat your jars before hand?
I just keep them in the hot soapy water until I am ready for them and risen each jar as I need them

The beans are fresh from the garden and raw. I have never done hot pack method.
Do you not add salt?
Salt is a choice, you can add a teaspoon per quart. I have decided not to add it because my husband doesn’t want it at our age.
How long do they stay in for?
20 minutes for pints and 25 for quarts.
