Sand Drag Racing at Silver Lake Sand Dunes Memorial Day 2023

The Silver Lake Sand Dunes is a popular vacation area to Michigan and the other surrounding states of Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. Some of the most popular things to do while at the Sand Dunes is to attend the drag strip area where no matter what you drive you can pull up to the starting line and race others to see who is the fastest. Do they always have drag racing events at silver lakes? I'm planning a trip to silver lake and trying to figure out when's the best time

For the most part yes, especially on holiday weekends. There's a straight away that everyone uses to race each other. It's basically street racing on the sand. However silver lake does have an actual sand drag raceway about 3-5 mins from the dunes it's self.
