I really do think everyone's main characters, but its all started from the parents. So their stories are vital and add so much flavour to the show. So for me, parents are kinda the main main of the show, if that makes sense, as in the root of this series
14:39 Actually, Doo-sik said accurately in korean, "cause I thought I was going to die(if i couldn't see you any more)" NOT "I was dying inside." I don't know why hulu(or disney+) makes subtitles like that...
exactly i thought netflix was bad at subtitles but turns out they have a competitor in that category coz the subs are so painfully mistranslated at times which even I as a non-korean speaking person could observe
Exactly. That Dosik's line should have been translated with more cares, because that line also mirrors his previous sentence in the scene with their first kissing, which is "I don't care if I die."
After watching 150+ kdramas.... I can understand lot of these without subtitles..... Yes Disney subtitles sucks.... Even Netflix subtitles sucks in Netflix orginal dramas(but getting better)....
Btw there are 7 main characters and the parents are kind of the main ones , what I like about this kdrama is that every single character is like the main character and has really amazing backstory and they dive deep into, and that adds a lot more flavor to the show
I've seen so many reactors but these two are the best one. They're watching carefully and noticing every little details. Others reactors are just screaming like they saw something strange and they miss half of the small things about the show. And here, these two are the most precious. I love Achara from the start. She seems like a really nice & humble person. She pays attention to other culture and I haven't seen her making fun of other culture. I'm watching Michael reaction for the first time and he seems like a nice person too. I love both of your reaction ❤️ I love the way you scream happily and get emotional too whenever seeing any romantic or sad scene. You're both like me when I first saw the Moving. Its the best drama of year. I hope more people watch this. Because this drama is masterpiece. Next episodes are going to be emotional too. Prepare yourself for that too. I cant wait to see your reactions ❤️❤️❤️😁 Sorry, if there's something wrong. My english is not that good 🥲 Anyway, loved your reaction 😘😁❤️
@@ryuk4142 Me too 😌 idk she's so genuine. Tbh, I haven't watched their reaction for a long time. Recently, I've been obsessed with Kdramas and Moving is one of the best dramas I've seen so far. So, I'm finding new reactors and these two seem nice and I love their reactions very much. Can't wait to see their reactions to the rest of the episodes 😁🤗🫠
you two are my favourite reactors for this show because you not only pay attention to what's going on but you also understand and connect with the shows emotional themes and the character arcs (which is truly imo what makes this show so damn special). also, this show is probably one of the best textbook examples of a perfect ensemble show i've ever seen. each actor cast and used perfectly and also they were provided with just really great writing to flesh out their characters. so excited to see you guys continue with the show and see how it all comes together.
Namsan(san means mountain, Nam mean southern) is an actual mountain, and it's the tallest mountain in Seoul with Namsan Tower at its peak. You can see it in most areas of Seoul, except for some places where buildings or hills block the view. You can see Namsan tower when Lee miyun talked with Kim Dusik over the window, where Kim Dusik was sitting and eating unsliced kimbap, and in the photo with a coffee vending machine.Additionally, there is a real Namsan Donkatsu restaurant nearby. The person who originally operated Namsan Donkatsu had their contract terminated by the building owner, and they had to relocate elsewhere. The building owner continued to operate Namsan Donkatsu with the same signage, earning a lot of money and expanding the business to 100 locations. This later became a legal issue.
The parents are also main characters LOL. They even bring all that star-studded actors. That's why this drama has 20 eps that divide into 3 part. Part 1 - Kids story, Part 2 - Parents story, and Part 3 where everything is finally come together. That's what makes this drama fun ride to watch!
Once again the episode establishes a connection between fiction and historical reality. The North Korean regime has attempted at least 3 times to assassinate a President of the Republic of Korea (President of South Korea). In 1968, a unit of elite North Korean troops attempted to storm the Blue House (the South Korean version of the White House) with the purpose of killing President Park Chung Hee, which would end with dozens of deaths on both sides. In 1974, in a new attack against Park Chung Hee, his wife, First Lady Yuk Young-soo, was accidentally murdered. And in 1983 the North Koreans tried to assassinate another South Korean president, Chun Doo-hwan, in an attack in Burma, where dozens of people died. In response to these assassination attempts against their Presidents, South Korea devised plans to assassinate the dictator of North Korea, Kim Il Sung (whose death was presented in the episode) and organized a black operations unit known as the Unit 684, which existed between 1968 and 1971, and whose sole purpose was to kill the North Korean leader, but the unit had a tragic end when it staged a mutiny that ended in the death of all its members. Added to that, we have that in 1988 the military dictatorship in South Korea ended and democracy began, but in the early years of the 1990s there were tensions between sectors of the South Korean intelligence services, accustomed to being all-powerful during the military dictatorship, and the new democratic administrations. That is why it is a credible scenario within the universe of the series, where an executive of South Korean intelligence uses a superhuman to try to assassinate the North Korean dictator with his superpowers, and above all because we see that the Director has an agenda contrary to the policies of the democratic government of the day. In this stage of the show, the deadly confrontation between North Korea and South Korea, with reference to the real dynamics of the conflict in its most critical moments, will have absolute prominence.

in terms of viewership internationally definitely but in terms of acclaim and praise, it's very well-regarded! i agree when people say the show probably would have been even bigger had it been on netflix but tbh i don't think netflix would have given the show and its writer kang full the kind of full freedom he seems to have gotten with this show (for example him saying he insisted on having 20 episodes to tell the full story to do justice to the story he wanted to tell.)
17:22 - But the real problem there was not if Kim Doo-shik killed the leader of North Korea. By Director Kim's reaction, we can assume that he wanted Kim Il Sung's death to be reported as an assassination but instead the Chinese reported it as a heart attack, implying that Doo-shik's real mission was to kill North Korea's leader, but he didn't, since Kim Il Sung died from a disease.
Guys... guys... Whatever you do, put Mr. Sunshine in your list! Watch the trailer and you'll be intrigued. Jaby would have a lot to say about the cinematography and Achara can take the Asian nuances. It got action, intrigue, bromance, well-written characters, beautiful historical settings and costumes, excellent cinematography and soundtracks like... everything. The main character is played by Lee Byunghun, the Frontman from Squid Game and he is sooo good in this one. I'll wait no matter how long.

It's not underrated at all. It won 6 awards in Asian content awards recently.
Definitely in popularity, and that's only because Disney+/Hulu is still much smaller than Netflix
