Same. I left Edinburgh after 5 years (spent 4 as a student) but came back to my home country instead... not that I didn't like London (been there a few times) but it's too expensive for me to live there and too stressful to start over in a new unknown city with new people. Also Brexit was pushing me out... so seems like it just wasn't the right place for me all along and it wasn't meant to be... I definitely didn't meet the right people... I also felt rejected and unappreciated in Edinburgh by the people and they were very rude and nasty with me and I been through a lot of hardships there... I think that moving back home was the best decision and felt like the universe was pushing me in a new direction that was simpler and better for me...
Ohh I’m sorry you had such a bad experience there. I loved Edinburgh and thought everyone was so nice there - as opposed to in London haha , people here are just different breed, always in rush. But yeah you are right nothing happens without a reason. I am happy you found your path
