Great job, love the use of Dan in and out of the ski mask while he was on the ground and the fact that you kept the shot where he adjusts it. I feel like, having met Dan multiple times, he definitely apologized profusely to all of those people for getting up in their faces, or at the very least asked all of their consent, he's big on that. A great performance video, and a great concept to put a twist on it. Loved the use of focus throughout too!
God, I love growing up with this band. Every album they put out is just the right thing that I need to hear at that point in my life. We are truly blessed to live in a timeline where these guys found each other and decided to make music.
"I’m catatonic, wandering off- a song about death in my head, and I can’t help but hum along." This line and the album being called "The Hum Goes On Forever" makes me feel Very Something...
My best friend in the world ended his life in march this year. His 30th birthday. I met him when i was three. This band has gotten me through the toughest times and the new material continues to do so, i hope everyone understands this is more than a good bop, theres a lot of heart in this and it can't be matched
The songs that have been released so far has left me speechless, chills all over my body, and tears in my eyes. You guys are really making something unbelievably special with this album. Hum already means so damn much to me and there’s still more of this album to listen to. Thank you guys for always unapologetically sharing your hearts, souls, and minds with the world.
Words cannot describe how much I love the moment where dan with the mask on drops the mic, grabs it with is other hand and it quickly cuts to him without the mask.
I'm 31 and just now giving TWY a legit chance and they have been steadily climbing into my top favorites. I can't believe I didn't give them the time of day 10-15 years ago. Simply incredible!
@William Gillin I second this - it's one of my favorite albums just in general. I also expect all bands from now on to write a 7-minute closing montage track like 'I Just Want to Sell Out My Funeral'.
Seriously can’t stop listening to this… it’s just perfection to my ears.. from the riffs to the powerful vocals, to the emotion pouring out through the speaker.. it’s just magnificent
I think this is my most highly anticipated twy album to date. Every song you've released so far has been a straight banger and im so excited to hear the rest of them
The Wonder Years deserves to be on the MTV VMA’s stage way more than the majority of people who were recently on it just saying…. Once again, you guys out do yourselves. Not even surprised by it anymore 😂 Keep the hits coming boys
Oh if they were around during peak Blink and TRL days they’d definitely be all over it. There’s no more mixing of music really in mainstream ever since I feel. Maybe I’m just old and cynical now though lol
@@Yourburntstar come on dude, you know everyone hated TRL at the time, right? System wrote Steal This Album, Jeff formed Bomb The Music Industry. And that's just the early 2000s. People have been hating the "industry" since it existed.
I am soo happy! Sister Citys didn‘t do it for me, something was missing. But it‘s all Here now. This Sounds like everything this Band has done in one Song. I love it!
This song perfectly captures the feeling of watching yourself (and your friends) grow beyond the specters of your past selves. That feeling where you know you've changed, but the people who knew you in a past version of yourself are also splintered. It's fantastic, can't wait for the 23rd!
I’m a 42 year old man and on my second listen of this song I sincerely got choked up. Watery eyes, sniffling nose and all. What a beautiful song. He sings with such sincerity during the chorus and it hits on such a deep level with me. Wow! Good job guys, you nailed it with this one!
Can't thank Soupy and the guys enough for putting their heart into every song they release. It's truly beautiful and songs like this are so heartfelt and real - a fresh reminder that bands still care about the message and lyrics/storytelling. Love TWY guys
This song and Out on my feet are their best songs by far! This band is so sick. When the bassist and guitar players do vocals, it steps the song up by a million. Never liked pop punk but I'm glad my friends got me into this band.
I love this band. I got a cardinal on my forearm inspired by the song Cardinals. No Closer to Heaven dropped just before my grandpa died and I listened to it on repeat after and again 6 months later when my grandma passed. A year later “I Came Out Swinging” became my anthem and motivation to shake off depression. I absolutely love this band and their entire discography. Soupy’s vocals and the honest lyrics along with their sound is just grade A.
This is really gonna be the AOTY, huh? I keep coming back to all of the singles and they hit just as hard, if not harder, every single time. This one is absolutely gut-wrenching. That feeling of loss is so fucking palpable. TWY Forever.
Every single off of this album is a banger. As an elder emo enjoyer I feel both seen and heard. Can't wait for the full album & thanks for giving sonic vibrations to my inner dialogue
Directed & edited this for TWY 🙂 thanks for having me team!
You did FUCKING AWESOME. I loved this through and through
@@MitchZro thank you very much!

AWESOME JOB
This is the most high school science teacher-looking band I've ever seen in my life, LET'S GO! 🤘🏼
Where are we going?
@@notsosecretsquirrel9389 well, we get on the bus and head back to school, of course 👍🏼
@@phillipgriego4675 haha
Lol Soupy could literally teach english so makes sense.
Geology rock
Bands that put the lyrics in the description really get it.
English major Dan Campbell certainly gets it, haha. THE pop-punk poet.
@@eboethrasher Absolutely, he truly is.
Utter poetry.
Bringing back the Josh yells is 10/10. Best bridge they’ve ever put out. Wow. Speechless.

Facking beautiful comment.
The wonder years are the best I'm so thankful I found their music

Multiple songs reference Tide as well, and there is water on the cover... It's Dan, what else is there left to say?

Sorry for your loss. Your friend was too young. I hope that you're doing okay
@tomrogue13 I'm better.. I see him in my dreams and I guess that'll have to be enough
How tf does a band put out 5 no skip albums and continues to knock it out of the park.
This is so God damn good!
Fuck!
I'm only discovering these guys now!!!! And this album will be my first one
100% AGREEEEEEEE!
This is the best they’ve ever sounded, full stop. Especially guitar wise!
They've been killing it so far on this record. The dual solo on Low Tide is fire!
so heavy
They got three of 'em so they better have some good guitar stuff lol
Easily a top 5 for me from TWY! Just absolutely rips!
I always love when Matt and Josh have lead parts, and to finally give them a duet gives me CHILLS
Jesus christ.
The line about leaves painting the pavement crimson red kills me to hear it every time it plays.

This is the most exciting TWY content in quite a while, I am thrilled with each song released so far. I can't wait to hear the whole thing through!
@@corexcore617 Yeah I don’t think I’ve really had a reaction like this to their new material before, I am beyond excited for this album to drop!
Every single song is a total banger. Not a single bad one. Amazing. I just found my new favorite band!
fucking hell... The Hum Goes On Forever is going to be the greatest album ever written going by what they've released so far.
This is why TWY have lasted so long. The effort and emotion are just as raw as ever 😊cannot wait for the AOTY
This album is going to be insurmountably phenomenal
FR
Might even contend with The Greatest Generation
Man, I fucking love his voice. It's emotional without being whiny. Really hits me in the feels. I feel an amazing connection with this song.
The Wonder Years have grown something fierce, from 'Get Stoked on It!' to 'The Hum Goes on Forever'. I'm happy to be along for the ride 👍
Words cannot describe how much I love the moment where dan with the mask on drops the mic, grabs it with is other hand and it quickly cuts to him without the mask.
Dan falls when he tries to jump backwards off the kick drum at 2:55 lol
Wow this is their best stuff since the greatest generation. Inspirational longevity

Better late than never my dude. Welcome ^.^
@William Gillin Couldn't agree more. Like, seeing the video for Summer Clothes hit me like the first time I listened to Devil in my Bloodstream.
@William Gillin I second this - it's one of my favorite albums just in general. I also expect all bands from now on to write a 7-minute closing montage track like 'I Just Want to Sell Out My Funeral'.
@William Gillin 4rth album
im 24 and im so jealous. I wish I had been this age when Suburbia I've Given You All came out.
I love when Josh sings Omg but 10/10 per usual and the video is one of my favorites!
He nails it on this one, that growl is as fierce as the growl on his basslines. And juxtaposing it with Matt's sweet voice is a great dichotomy.
This is gonna be up there with The Greatest Generation and No Closer to Heaven. Gonna be such a sick album
💙
Looking forward to the reaction then, boyz!
We must indoctrinate Nath through sheer attrition.
